  • ''But Your Story Stinks More Than Your Fatass!'' LMAO

  • the rock has the best reactions to finishing moves LOL

  • Comment removed

  • PROUD TO B AN 90's BABY! good music, good wresling! ATTITUDE 4 LIFE

  • the rock can splid him in 2 halfs in real life

  • Every time Kurt Angle spoke he always reminded me of a nodding dog, nodding his head after a sentence. It's True, it's true!

  • Shit austin.... He doesn't trust Rock

  • The Rock always oversold that stunner.

  • @FluffMaster101 his sell was lengendary they used it for the finisher in a wrestling...

  • kurt angle's awesome!

  • WOW I cant believe im still young after look back on the whole 90s!!! eat your heart out Justin Bieber!!!

  • those 9 dislikes must be those dumb-ass clown cena fans who has no brains about wrestling !!

  • He's an idiot.

    Yes, that's true.

  • 9 People have a fat-ass like RIKISHI :D

  • this segment was on the day my little brother was born

  • @acefunacho - nice to know that.......congrats !! :)

  • TNA Anderson wanna act like WWF SCSA. acting fail, skills also fail.

  • @HMFAITH sharkboy is the wanna be

  • Worst Stunner sell in the biz

  • i watched wwe:last wrestlemania, next raw after wrestlemania,THE ROCK's birthday and now i will watch wrestling just whenTHE ROCK will come again in wwe because now wrestling sucks except when THE GREATONE is coming to electrify us!!1

  • Lmao The Rock sold that stunner so well

  • @AXAGUS The Rock sells the Stunner like complete fucking dog shit, and I will never understand why so many idiots think he sells the Stunner so well. There is no need to make himself flip like a fucking fish out of water. In order to make that move look good, it requires subtly and crispness by the person taking it. You can tell that Rock is forcing himself to flip like that, which makes the move look ridiculously stupid and weak. Overselling doesn't equal good selling. There's a difference

  • @Canny911 Thats what you call overselling? Then your the idiot, overselling is when Shawn Michaels jumped back at every hit Hulk Hogan did at him. This is just pure entertainment between the two learn wrestling please.

  • @AXAGUS Riiight, because making yourself do an unnecessary back flip by pushing yourself off the mat, is totally not overselling. I mean everyone sells it that way, right? Yeah. How many unnecessary flips did HBK do when Hogan did something minor to him, again? Let me see here, oh that's right, A FUCKING LOT.

I love when morons like you tell me to learn wrestling. Especially when the majority of the people who actually know wtf they're talking about, will tell you the EXACT same thing.

  • @Canny911 rock sold it that way to make it a joke honestly but it backfire since ppl love it anyway..so dude..get over it..well you type this 3 weeks ago so im sure you're done with it

  • @Canny911 i agree. there is no need for him to sell it that way

  • @mcdowall1995 I think you're the ONLY one who actually said they agree. You wouldn't believe how many people think The Rock sells the Stunner amazingly. (or maybe you would) If you look up like, top 5 Stunner sells, or top 5 stunners, he's always number one. It's so annoying

  • @Canny911 he oversells it. way 2 much

  • @Canny911 yeah he oversells it, but its whatever lol

  • Haha when Kurt Angle's music hit Austin looked at the Rock like "Why the hell did you call that idiot now?"

  • The Rock made stunner look fatal......

  • @ethanhasnofriends1 You call that PG-Shit and Impact God-Awful Catfighting REAL WRESTLING?

Do you need your head checked? o.O

  • I laughed so hard when Austin looked at Rock when Kurt came out. He was like are you serious. LOL!

  • Ahahahahha its been eleven years since i have seen that footage. nice CLIP!!!!!

  • Hahahaha gotta love the way the rock always sells stunner :D

  • why bring up this whole rock is better austin is better nonsense ? im a rock fan but in my opinion they are both equal. they both push the other and frankly neither would be as good without the other man. so to summerise stop fighting between you and enjoy them both because once they leave wwe forever wrestling is dead in my eyes

  • Rock just got owned

    its true its DAMN true

  • @spazrulzworld YES AND IN THE OTHER MATCH STONE COLD GOT OWNED BADLY

  • Comment removed

  • the rock sold that stunner like a explosion

  • @ropiez

Neither did I, like you said bringing up merchandise sales is kind've irrelevant. Look at the nWo, sold tons of merchandise just like Austin did but didn't come close to the high ratings that WWF had in 1999-2000.

  • @surprisinigly1

Too bad Austin wasn't #1 on wrestling observers top drawing lists. You can bring up merchandise sales but it still doesn't change the fact he was #2 that year.

  • @Tazmainian122

Well in your opinion Austin was more popular that year and 2,187 thought so too, but 3,613 thought other wise. Bro like I said I didn't even a big fan of Rock's character by late 2000, so I'm not talking as a fanboy.

  • Attn Rock fans. Lookin back at the 'Tude Era when did Rock ever have any attitude? Stone Cold was the middle finger wavin, ass kickin, beer drinkin, crazy SOB, Undertaker was a devil worshiping Lord of Darkness, Triple H was the sledgehammer carryin cerebral assassin but what was Rock? He didnt have much attitude durin the attitude era

  • @surprisinigly1

He was arrogant and dressed in $500 clothes, seems like character for me. Sure in this vid he seemed kind've of generic but in '99 he had way style in his promos.

  • @Taz I remember the Attitude Era and although Rock was probably the best comedian of all time on the mic, overall I think he wasnt better than Stone Cold or HBK. Since HBK wasnt around in the attitude era most AE fans have a bias for the Rock over HBK but I agree Rock couldnt cut a promo w/o some generic boring catchphrase or yelling "IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK". When Rock stopped the insults and the "YOU'RE A MONKEY PENIS" crap he didnt have much to really say

  • @ThaHammer1001

And I honestly thought The Rock from 1999 way way better The Rock in this vid so I don't really care that he got booed during this confrontation. I looked at some Raw/Smackdown recaps from late 2000 he did get booed on some of the shows, but in 1999 as a face he never got booed at all. Very different years my man.

  • @LChris6

the rock didnt get booed in this video.....people were booing stone cold because he wouldnt come out when the rock first asked him to come out

  • @lxtheasimxl no they didn't lol

  • I was a huge Rock fan but even Rock admitted how big Austin was in the company. Stone Cold was the first Attitude Era superstar to appear on any television show and he really revolutionized that era of wrestling. People dont know this but Rock never even got close to the single year merchandise sales record that Stone Cold broke. Stone Cold holds the record for merchandise sales in a year, followed by Hogan and *gasp* Cena. Rock isnt even on the list, not 2 take ne thing away from him

  • @surprisinigly1

And yes I've read about that but Austin was #2 in Wrestling Observers top drawing stars for 1999, not #1, so I'm sure Austin did get his record broken in '99.

  • @LChris6 I respect your opinion and as ive stated Rock may have had small periods where his merchandise outsold Austin but looking at 1999 it was probably late 1999 after Stone Cold left for surgery. If you are talking overall merchandise sales kindly go to this website "welovewrestling,net/p/wwe-media" and Rock is #4 in merchandise behind Stone Cold, Hogan, Cena and then its the Rock

  • @surprisinigly1

XD! Austin was gone in mid November, he was already being outsold by the summer that year, check the old wwfshopzone hot selling items from the waybackmachine, org site. Yes I saw that link before but still there's a link where Austin was the #2 draw in 1999. Google "Wrestling observers list of top draws" and it's the first link you see, it's not made up because it goes all the way back to the early 20th century.

  • @LChris6 as myself and several others have stated it is true that Rock may have had SMALL PERIODS where he did better in merchandise than Austin but OVERALL Stone Cold is the top seller. Im not talking about small periods. Google "WWE official 50 greatest of all times" and tell me what you find. google that website that I posted and see the truth. Never did I say Rock never outsold Austin, he may have had small gains but overall Austin was a bigger draw

  • @LChris6 you talk about 'Rock did better than Austin in 99' but im not arguing small periods im arguing overall stats and the overall stats say Austin outsold Rock by a WIDE MARGIN. Stone Cold holds the single year record for merchandise sales..Rock holds no record for single year merchandise sales. Rock was an instrumental figure in the Attitude Era but maybe Rock returning recently and nostalgia is making u remember the Rock as bigger than he actually was. Overall numbers say Austin>Rock

  • @LChris6 I hope you check the link because ive thrown this link around to many Rock fans and they seem to never want to click but just argue off their bias toward the Rock

  • @surprisinigly1 Wht the fuck does merchandise sales have to do with anything? I'm a huge Rock fan and I never bought any official merchandise.

  • We all know wrestling is scripted so its actually quite foolish to argue matches between these two (although if I wanted to I could say Stone cold holds a 6-2 advantage over the Rock in singles competition" but judging from overall mic skills, merchandise sales, and popularity I think the edge goes to Stone Cold. Rock could cut a funny promo but he was only great on the mic when he was insulting someone. Austin can cut a promo and never use any generic catch phrases

  • As great as Rock was and as popular as he was he just cant beat stone Cold Steve Austin

  • @ThaHammer1001

This was in 2000 when Austin just came back and they were teasing a Rock heel turn, in 1999 it was a very different story.

  • @LChris6 they werent teasing a Rock heel turn. It was the company's choice to see who was more popular between the two and watching this video and hearing that crowd erupt when Austin came out and hearing some boos for the Rock when he called out Stone Cold. The leadup to WM 17 saw Stone Cold get cheered when he would attack the Rock and Rock booed when he attacked him.

  • @ThaHammer1001

Again you don't get it, this was in late 2000, I'm talking about 1999. Look at some recaps from Raw/Smackdown shows in 1999, Rock was slightly getting bigger pops than Austin. On the Raw before Summerslam '99 Rock got all of the chants throughout the night during commercial breaks and Austin didn't get a single chant throughout the night until the Mankind/HHH match, and this was when Austin was the champion, I know what I'm talking about.

  • @ThaHammer1001

"they werent teasing a Rock heel turn. It was the company's choice to see who was more popular between the two and watching this video and hearing that crowd erupt when Austin came out and hearing some boos for the Rock when he called out Stone Cold."

Did you watch throughout 1999?!? After No Mercy '99 Austin and Rock were about to go at it and the fans definitely weren't chanting for Austin during it. Why would the fans boo Austin when Rock was being hinted for the heel turn?

  • @LChris6 go to the youtube search bar and type "Stone Cold vs the Rock the Sad Story: and here Vince McMahon, the owner of the company say "Rock, as popular as he was, was never quite Stone Cold Steve Austin". Thats the owner of the company saying and its near the beginning of the video so you dont have to wait long for it. Rock had his fans no doubt but looking back I agree with Hammer, That era will ALWAYS be called the Austin era

  • @Tazmainian122

Why would Vince pick The Rock? Austin/McMahon was the feud of the era, Austin/McMahon symbolized the era but The Rock was still slighty more over when both were babyfaces in 1999. Judging who was more over in this vid makes no sense since Austin had just came back and Rock was starting to lose some of his character. And don't say he wasn't because he was, watch some of his promos from 1999, they're very different from this one in the vid.

  • @LChris6 why would Vince pick the Rock? Well he was speakin as owner of the company, not some promo and Vince loved the Rock. Austin/McMahon feud did symbolize the era but to say Rock was slightly more over when both were babyfaces in 1999 is a matter of opinion. Stone Cold was over the Rock in 1999 when they were both faces and in 2001 when they were both faces leading up to Mania 17. Its useless to keep goin back and forth because its just arguing opinion and it wont change

  • @ThaHammer1001 austin was was more popular then, the rock is more popular now(even with all the shit surrrounding his movies career, people mark out more for a rock return than any austin return). and yeah u seem to have forgotten smackdown. the rock's catchphrase which became a show. so i guess they are even now.

  • Lol listen to that crowd. Rock was popular but not big as Austin

  • LOL the rock flies when he gets stunned!!! 5:54

  • THAnx to YOUTUBE I CAN RElive those dayz!! wwe sucks now.

  • its wierd to listen Kurts theme song without the YOU SUCK chant

  • I miss when it was difficult to decide whether RAW or SmackDown was better. Nowadays, it's difficult to decide which one is WORSE.

  • @ThrexyX LOL

  • @ThrexyX Smackdown is for wrestling, Raw is for promos.

  • hahahahaahahahahahahahahahahaahahah!

  • @ThrexyX Thats the same thing...

  • @ThrexyX amen to that

  • @ThrexyX Couldn't agree more there. You really couldn't miss either, our you missed a lot and ended up behind in what was going on.

  • @ThrexyX lol

    yes indeed

  • @ThrexyX u sir r right we were the best generation of wrestling

  • kurt angle sounds like he just hit puberty

  • "Oh it's true......it's damn true." Kurt Angle. Amazing.

  • LMAO at how Rock sold the Stunner

  • Does anyone know what happened after this? Was the rock involved or not?

  • @omario8822 no the rock wasn't involved it turned out that triple he was the one who hired rikishi to take out Austin

  • Wow The Rock made that look so hurtful. But people that take the RKO Make it look so fake. Even though it is but at Least try people. it ENTERTAINMENT!

  • u have to luv Kurt angle LMAO

  • 5:35 rikishi says , rock just from looking at your eyes.....The rock is wearing glasses lol how can you tell ????

  • Stone Cold Looked at the Rock like did you have to say kurt Angles name

  • Kurt Angle is nothing without WWE. I keep forgetting that he works in TNA.

  • this was before john cena ruined kurt angles intro song/career

  • @aznxblaz3 it was actually edge

  • if iu was the rock i would of fucked his face

  • rock floppin around like a fish lol

  • Alot of fans complain that they want the rock to come back but in 2001 fans were chanting rocky sucks when austin came back aand im sure thats another reason the stars leave.

  • @GodsAvenger

it was his heel turn at the time i think

  • Triple H Sold The Stunner The Best, The Rock Just Flips Lmao

  • THE ROCK SUPER STAR ОН ЗВЕЗДА

  • the way the rock was trying to explain to austin made the rock look a bit shock lol

  • man gotta love the way he sold the stunner.

  • Rocky is a stone cold stunner seller

  • shades were such a cool thing to wear back then.

  • the way RIKISHI said it: "we don't trust you either"

  • these were the good days

  • wat in de blue hell waz the rock doing..... he should knw tht austin is a rattle snake, he cn stun anybody anytime anywhere....

  • Damn Kurt has changed his attitude over the years... He was an "American Hero" Villian, who no one liked and ran his mouth into a fucking violent machine! But I've always respected Kurt's ability in wrestling... Great Stunner by Austin... God Rock loves to sell the stunner, loves putting impact into it! lol

  • i truly think people do not understand how retarded the rock sold the stunner. yea it looked good when you were 14, get real, HHH sold it the best hands down no comparison ROck overdoes it

  • @fijiian4life01 i disagree.

  • If you watch stone cold give stunners the rock sold it the best

  • @JamesBalor the rock and vince was the best actors vince made me die laughing when austin music came on

  • Damn, that was an awesome Stunner.

Austin has that look on his face like "To Hell with this."

    BAM!

Rock backflips in his $500 shirt.

  • lmfao!!!rock always backflips with austin`s stunner

  • Sometimes im hesitant to watch these old videos because i miss these days so much..........anybody eles

  • @armykidgrace we all do

  • didn't triple h run him down

  • finaly the truth is comin out

  • No one sold a Stunner like The Rock

  • stone cold shoulda been like face to face rock and flicked him off

  • Comment removed

  • Merchandise sales were going down? Haha that's definiely a lie because in October 1999 (the month before Austin was on the sidelines) Rock had 5 of the top 10 items on Shopzone's top selling items list while Austin had 3. The first 2 items on the list where Rock merchandise (Rock sunglasses and Rock baseball jersey) while Austin was #3 on the list (Austin baseball jersey).

So the "Rock only started becoming #1 in merchandise sales and a huge draw when Austin was injured" stuff is a whole myth.

  • @LChris6 dude it's storyline

  • @RayMagic92

Even storyline wise it made no sense because in the buildup to SvS '99 it was obvious how Rock's popularity was already skyrocketing before Austin's absence.

  • @LChris6 I know you wrote this comment 8 months ago but Rock never outsold Austin in overall merchandise. He may have had periods of higher sells but overall he is nowhere near Austin

  • @ThaHammer1001

I never said overall, I said in '99 when both were faces. Rock was listed as #1 and Austin as #2 on Meltzers top drawing stars lists for that year. Comparing merchandise sales isn't really fair anyway since Rock wore $500 shirts way more than his T-shirts. His T-shirts were secondary to the $500 shirts.

  • @LChris6 Im sorry but Stone Cold was better and more popular. He was so popular he had the attitude era named after hi attitude. Austin was so influential the Attitude era started when eh won at WM 14 and nearly everyone agrees that it ended when he turned at WM 17. Rock was funny on the mic and had his one year of super popularity in 2000 but 97-01 is known as the Austin era not the Rock era.

  • @LChris6 *cough* cool story bro

  • WWF = WRESTLING WAS FUN

    WWE = WORST WRESTLING EVER

  • @emanuelbull tngay is much worse than wwe dude.

  • austin suckss

  • @TyloSz TOTALY AGREE

  • @TyloSz ?

  • Said he was doing it for his people for a coloured person can succeed in the WWF. The Rock was pissed Austin was pissed and kicked Rikishi's ass. But then Rikishi said he had an accomplice. Someone told him to do it and said it was The Rock. And we all are watching how this unfolds. Best part of the whole thing though is that it was really Triple H. lol...as usual the Cerebral Assasin

  • This is one of my favourite story lines. Stone Cold got hit by a car and was gone for a year. In this time The Rock started blowing up, even gave him his own show (SmackDown) Austin come back badgering every superstar about it and came up with the conclusion that The Rock profitted the most off of his absent. All of a sudden Austin started getting clues. One clue being that the driver was blonde. Rikishi admitted to it and said he did it for The Rock. He actually pulls the race card lol

  • can rikishi stop screaming???

  • Random Stunner... LMAO...Im a bigger rock then stone cold fan, but that was funny

  • For those who were unaware of the storyline, the guy in the black mask Rikishi was talking about was HHH. I have a question though, Rikishi mentioned that The Rock wanted Austin out of the picture because of his declining sales in merchandise. Does anybody know if that was true at the time (maybe Vince wanted The Rock to sell more items and sought this as a jab at him) or was it just part of the storyline?

  • @DarkReapersGrim

non kayfabe wise at around survivor series when the run over happened, austin was still THE biggest star in the business & as far as i know them merchandises were going off the shelves as fast as they were in the past.

& only reason for the break was Austin's neck surgery that he needed since owen broke it back in 97.

also this was the opportunity that Rock used to grab the number one spot as many say had austin not left at that time rock would not be as big as he later became

  • @DarkReapersGrim

The Rock has always been popular, so no- Austin wasn't taken out so The Rock's merchandising sales could increase. This is basicially a way to give the show a sense of realism- that what's a show for us is a workplace for them in a sense.

  • I miss this Kurt.

  • STUNNER

  • STONE COLD+ROCK+VINCE+BRET HART+SHAWN MICHAELS+UNDERTAKER+CHRIS JERICHO= WWE. THE WWE TODAY SUCKS. JOHN CENA+HHH+RANDY ORTON+ALL REMAINING WRESTLING = CRAP. WWE NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY NEED GOOD WRESTLER ACTORS WHO CAN PULL THE CROWD TO THE ARENA. TODAY THERE ARE ONLY WRESTLERS NOT ACTORS. ALSO GOLDBERG WAS GOOD. EVEN JBL IS GOOD. EXCEPT FOR CHRIS JERICHO TODAY OTHERS ARE ALL CRAP.

  • @aniketbarve2009 how could u say hhh is crap? he is one of the best

  • "rikishi's thong" rofl

  • Sorry, Rikishi, but no matter how plausible most of your cover story was, no one bought that line about The Rock's merchandise sales suffering.

  • LOL listen PG ERA JOHN CENA FAN!! the attitude er was the time when wresting was full o GOD DAMN I AINT GONNA EXPLAIN IT TO YOU!! your a damn john cena fan so FUCK YOUAND FUCK JOHN CENA

  • u see da cheer 4 stone cold

  • no 1 dare to fight STONE COLD dats y dey all planned runnin him over

  • @AUSTINCENA96 none of this is real you know....

  • STONE COLD IS OBVIOUSLY BETTER BECUZ U SEE ROCK CHEATED ON STONE COLD ROCK u little pussy

  • @AUSTINCENA96 wtf does that mean?

  • i bet u wouldnt call the rock a pussy when ur face 2 face with the great 1

  • you thong wearing fatty!

  • Rochester isn't that bad. Screw Kurt Angle. D:<

  • I love that belt I hate todays belt

  • What was ATTITUDE

  • when kurt's music played. austin was look was like now what..

  • These were the good old days.

  • what fat ass liar but when the rock is story is more stinka than his fat ass that was so fucking funny

  • so did the rock do it? i miss these old WWF days its not the same anymore it sucks now....i dont remember how this turned out though.

  • no HHH did it

  • rikishi was workin wit HHH to frame the rock?

  • @carl276 no HHH was working w/ Rikishi to run over SCSA. Rikishi lied about The Rock's involvement so SCSA would be mad at him.

  • I don't remember; did Rock ever get that payback on Stone Cold for that stunner at the end?

  • Y, later on the show stone cold help the rock vs rikishi and kurt and than he gave stone cold the rock bottom ;)

  • God damnit get that TPAYAS INC. shit ou
