  • Thailand has ton of restaurant and little place to eat like every 10 metre.

  • Im not kidding, wow seriously this restaurant is 1 kilometre away from my house!! but i never go there...wth

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • iwant to go there and see.

  • Don't mix up ! This is actually Thai restaurant. Mostly serve Thai foods. The Royal Dragon Restaurant is decorated in Chinese atmosphere. The tour agencies always bring Chinese,Taiwanese customers to the restaurant. They can get commission. To impress many chinese people who live in Thailand and chinese travellers, So The atmosphere in the restaurant is chinese style.

  • @Chetah01 Don't mix up, this is a Chinese restaurant business, owned and exploited by Chinese, accidently situated in Bangkok, Thailand. Hence serving Thai-style food besides the original Chinese food (more or less). And of course travel agencies from China or Taiwan will bring their customers to a Chinese run restaurant and most certainly not to a Thai run restaurant. Anyway, I live in Thailand, and if possible will not frequent any Chinese run business.

  • @hans2406 U got mixed up ! The owners are Thai. Do u know about the business laws in Thailand? If they r investing together with foreigners. They need 51 % share for Thai ppl and 49 % share if the foreigners. It's so common in Thailand. So it's Thai business according to the thai law. or u can say joint venture. Show me if u have evidence don't just say It's own by Chinese.

  • @hans2406 U just want to say it out cuz u r chinese! Unfortunately, Thai people are not stupid. I've been there once. This kind of business can easily check from SME (Small and medium enterprises) website or other government website. Pls don't fool me. I'm not stupid.

  • pretty cool but how about cleaning after closing...

  • There is Chinatown in Sweden, Latin American countries, England, Australia, USA, Canada, Indonesian, Thailand , Philipines, now this restaurant.

Why don't the Chinese open a restaurant like this in the USA and have caucasions, blacks and mexicans staff skating and cooking. They need jobs in the usa, and there are already caucasions , latins and blacks working in chinese and sushi restaurants and doing martial arts.

  • I think it to be too big that;s boarring.......

  • 我覺得餐廳太大也沒有意思!

  • I am so going there!

  • Very entertaining.

  • wow ! i want to eat there

  • 15 kms a day & fabulous Thai food sounds great to me!

  • So glad I'm ditching cable TV. Stuff like this is the only thing they would show 24/7. Imagine how dull a regular restaurant is... then make it the size of Walmart. Nope. Still dull.

  • There's like this restaurent in "Hargeisa Somalia " but there's a little different lolz

  • 7 missed the like button

Cool restaurant. I hope i will go there.

  • I've never been to Thailand & look forward to visiting someday. :oD

Do the wait staff there get tips or share their tips together? Or is it place where they get paid well enough so they do not take tips?..The 1st time I traveled abroad I went to one county where I was told it was not common in the culture. But one waitress there said she liked & expect tips...Then, in a different country, I left a tip & the worker followed me outside to return to me the extra money I'd left on the table. :o0

  • journeyman documentary is something sweet when it comes to thailand but all garbage about countries like china, indonesia, pakistan, afhagnistan, israel among others.

  • They do have some good documentaries about afghanistan and pakistan. 1 out of 5 is good. Not really interested in gaza conflicts. China documentaries are interesting but some topics are over reported. 1 out of 6 is good. They post up good off beat documentaries. Recently, Denmark was good This was good. I liked the Indonesia one about smoking.

  • Chinese FTW!!! I am happy to be a Chinese! xD

  • Descendant of the Dragon :P

  • don't you mean Thai?

  • why doesnt america have nything cool like this

  • you have life expectancy of about 80 yrs so be gratefull

  • WOW

Carrying large platters of food while on roller skates...quite amazing.

  • Probably some awesome wipeouts

  • same here, in Greece. i used to be able to see everything and now i see 1 out of 10 vids. this is exactly the reason i unsubscribbed from national geographic. i have paid to see journeyman videos in the past. having people unsubscribe in a massive scale wont help the channel

  • Wish I'd known about this place when I was in Bangkok a couple of years ago. It wasn't in my Lonely Planet guide. All I remember of Bangkok is the air pollution, the ridiculous traffic and the taxi drivers that refused to take you where you asked to go!

  • I was in Thailand last year! LOVED IT!!! LOVED IT!! but I had never heard of this restaurant until now. AWESOMENESS......

  • Amazing.

    One place to visit.

  • amazing.

  • Thailand, wait for me.

  • JOURNEYMAN, please tell us what countries can view your vids. There's no point in posting shit that no one in the world can view, what sort of tool do you employ to run the show over there? Stop filling up my subscribers new uploads with shit i can't veiw or remove. Knobheads.

  • .Lovely video, now if only we can see the over one hour Documentary's like Savoring Europe and Sprawling From Grace that were on but removed supposedly because of. Copyright Restrictions instead we get piddly 5 min videos.

  • ugh same frustration here.

lets face it. we're unlucky to be born in the wrong country

  • Thailand looks awesome!

  • same here most cant be viewed in ireland eventhough the distributor is in UK?

  • Wow, incredible.

  • journeyman,

most of your videos cannot be viewed in the US...

  • most cant be viewed in australia either

    it sux

  • It was nice to have uncensored internet for a little while. I'm glad the US government has taken the liberty of imposing themselves where they are not wanted.

  • Most can't be viewed in Italy either...just the video down 15/20 minutes.

  • @mehdan2 y not?

  • I would really really like to eat here.

  • Mother Nature does not like that artificial place built around the idea consumption.

  • Are you using Mother Nature the spirit or Mother Nature the metaphor?

  • Wow it's like a restaurant buying all the shops in the mall...

  • oh man..i need to drive up to thailand one of these days ...

  • Wow this place looks Wild!

id love to go there im sure its

very Exspensive But the food must be Good.

  • @Raymasaki Not as bad expensive as I would have guessed. They have a promotion for all you can eat Dim Sum for 189 Baht (about $5.60 USD) as a promotion right now. Their website doesn't indicate how much dinner would be, though. I'll give it a try in December when I get back to Bangkok. :)

  • Good place to reserve for parties.

  • *This

    *I want to

    *two

*the ... sorry what was retarded ?!

  • See, it's not retarded because it's so gangsta. Do you dig, homie G in the hizzouse?

  • Wait, it's retarded because it runs so well and nobody makes mistakes? Your idea of what's retarded is retarded.

  • Wow, very cool. would love too eat there.

  • wow

  • The staff must get a good work out serving all that food!

  • Crazy...

  • nice I'd like to eat there

  • Too bad I don't like that food.

  • *****

  • This is wrong, the largest is in Damascus. it holds about 6,000.

    Aprooved by Guiness World Records

  • Alright, give me thumbs down, but look it up before you do so...

  • this ones better

  • Okay? probably true, but it isn't the biggest

  • where's bigger?

  • how would you know, have you been somewhere bigger? tbh i cant see any reason why they would just lie. its probably the biggest.

  • i don't think their lying, just search Largest Restaurant in the world on google, i promise you this isn't. and yea i ahve been to the largest restaurant in the world (damascus)

i promise just look it up, why would i lie about this...

  • @aafaking

The DAmascus Gate is in the Gunness book of records. 6000 seats.

Not sure which is bigger. Is it by area or seats?

  • seats

  • Then that means the Royal Dragon is the biggest.

Damascus Gate has a total of just over 6,000 seats, whilst Royal Dragon can accommodate a booking for 5,000 easily.

"easily book a table for 5,000 people."

    Damascus gate 2008

    Royal Dragon 2009

  • EDIT my last:

    Checked it again.

The 6,014-seat Damascus Gate has taken the accolade from a Bangkok eatery serving a mere 5,000 diners

The crucial test for Guinness World Record officials is all the tables are properly catered for, and they likened the Syrian kitchen to a "mini-factory".

The Royal Dragon may serve more, but the Damascus Gate are properly catered.
