I agree, I miss the Benoit that could wrestle a 5 star match with a broomstick. WM20 was hands down one of the greatest moments in wrestling history. Its too bad that WWE erased his history because they came dangerously close to be exposed as the wrestler mill that left Benoit to develop dementia by making him choose between his push and properly treating his head injuries.
Correction he admits to having done them, he also states that he never used them willingly, putting the blame on WWE and the way they supported the use during the late 80's and 90's. As he stated he never felt the need to use them to give him a sort of edge.

Bret's mic skills had significantly improved by this point in his career, but his lack of decent interview time and WCW's constant heel/face turns killed most of his promos. He was a better promo guy then people seem to recall. His pro-Canada stuff was top notch
Bret harts my all-time fav but after he left wwf he failed to train and keep himself in top shape. His in ring performances, while still being great, were not as good as they once were. Physically he was breaking down. I probably attribute this to his comfortness of being a top star he probably didn't feel he had much to prove.

the family falling apart hting was at least partially his fault since he cheated on is wife while traveling. As far as getting a shitty dea; in life, well somewhat. He achieved a level of glory and respect that only few man can fream of. He was basically a national hero in canada durning the 90's and he is still loved by many fans

Bret's mic skills had significantly improved by this point in his career, but his lack of decent interview time and WCW's constant heel/face turns killed most of his promos. He was a better promo guy then people seem to recall. His pro-Canada stuff was top notch

Bret harts my all-time fav but after he left wwf he failed to train and keep himself in top shape. His in ring performances, while still being great, were not as good as they once were. Physically he was breaking down. I probably attribute this to his comfortness of being a top star he probably didn't feel he had much to prove.

i could very well book Cena and Goldberg to "defeat" Benoit and Hart in 1000 matches for all i care. but when it comes to talent skills, and performance, Hart and Benoit are by far superior.
the mere fact of you stating that Cena and Goldberg are better than Hart and Benoit is enough to say that you know nothing about wrestling, and you should really stop trying to convince me that you have a good background of info on the subject. you have failed miserably.

Bill Goldberg had an impressive streak as part of his storyline and people did indeed go to WCW events to watch him, i am NOT denying that. i am saying he isnt as good as WCW management wanted people to believe. and he was overrated. same thing with John Cena, he has no talent, he is way too much overrated, but he makes WWE tons of money by selling merchnadise. he made more money than Hogan did in the 80s. but WWE doesnt necessarily need to rely only on Cena. they could push other talents too.

i agree with all of you guys the only reason that i started watching nitro was because finally bret was getting the push he deserved in the company but the match with goldberg and then next night on nitro wcw had him turn heel and join the nwo was pretty lame and it didnt give him the sendoff to his wrestling career that he deserved

Definitely, it was so refreshing to see wrestling again when Bret Hart was champion. WCW was regaining its respectability.
