Hey, great stuff. What was the ink you've used on the black paper at the end? Nicest thermochromic I've seen in a while. Would love to get my hands on some.
actually stiff is good for vibrations. the volume of the sound has more to do with the conductivity of the coil. in the case of the latter one it has more resistance and also i think it was slightly disconnected.

do the later ones not play because the ink you applied made the cardboard too stiff to vibrate via the coil - so you turn up the amplitude?
