  • Stupid DONT RECORD IT WITH A CAMERA FOOL

    still nice video

  • @Shreder1571

This a benchmark video. Why don't you guys read the comments?

  • Stupid DONT RECORD IT WITH A CAMERA FOOL

  • 45-60 fps nice!

  • I love boobs

  • i7 and he records it with a camera.

  • @ThePeiceofgrass

This is a BENCHMARK. Please focus.

  • @toutagamon Doesn't matter, you can barely see the damn video!

  • @ThePeiceofgrass

The video si perfecly clear. The framerate counter seems great, so that's what matters. I'd suggest you increase your brightness and/or contrast. I can watch it fine.

  • do you think having an i7 960 and 8 gigs of ram will boost the fps by 10??

  • @mistamagicman1

boost the framerate by 10, compared to what mate?

This video? No a 960 would actually be slower than the system in this video. Don't forget that the i7 used in this video is running at 4Ghz.

  • I'll tap that

  • @SocksSC

Well, yes I mention it because they are the system specs after all, but I also record the GPUz information in the first 15 seconds of the video, which clearly states crossfire disabled.

Only if I mention crossfire on the title, would this be a crossfire video.

In any case, since this was getting confusing for not long term viewers, I am adding "crossifre disabled" and "sli disabled" in more recent videos. I added it in this one. Thanks for reminding me.

  • Why don't you use fraps to upload it?

  • @Spongebobgoofpants because it reduces the performance of the computer. Drops videos down to 30 fps

  • Should i get this card or the GTX 460?

  • @ScRain0

They are both good cards, so whatever rocks your boat mate.

  • @toutagamon what is a fairly reliable card I can get for less than 150?

  • @MrFeelingAwesome

150 euros? A GTX 460 would be great.

  • @ScRain0 Btw, what was your desktop of? Who was that haha, i'm gonna have to snag it.

  • sorry forgot also, gtx 260m 1gb ddr3vram cheers XD

  • ok got it, so at how many ghz it is going to run in ultra 3.70 ghz or should be 4ghz?because this game, its more dependant of the cpu i believe, anyway my video card it's gtx 260m based on g92 same equal exactly like the 9800 gt on desktop, cheers

  • i haven't found anywhere what monitor you are using :)))

  • @darijan001

I have a Philips 32'' Full HDTV. Sorry for the late reply. Just saw it!

  • i have a core 2 duo asus g72gx-rbbx05 best buy version, my cpu running at 2.53 ghz stock, but overclock at 2.90ghz, but cannot play in ultra even not in high yeah i can but no so good in medium is 58 fps or 60 so,so i upgrade my cpu for a 3.06ghz or not worth it. what do you think? thanks by the way nice pc XD

  • @rocco9393

What do you think you will gain going from 2.90 to 3.06 mate? This is barely a speed increase.

  • @toutagamon My duo is at 4.3ghz and this game still fluctuates. Worst thing is it only uses two cores for performance.

  • @cammz3

"Fluctuation" is kinda normal on all game engines, unless you can keep vsync on and a have a steady framerate, respective of your screen's refresh rate.

The big problem is for the game to lag to hell and back. If it doesn't then you are OK!

  • @toutagamon You're talking about "tearing effect" which appears w/o v-sync enabled. But only on 60hz-75hz screens , on the 120hz lcd screens it goes away.Ofc you got to have good specs to keep the game running smoothly too.

  • @Shuunz

I was not talking about tearing effect. I was answering about flactuations in performance in respect to how vsync can keep the framerate steady.

120hz monitors and tearing or not, are a different thing altogether!

  • @toutagamon Sry then , I didn't read carefully.I am playing with vsync on atm , and it's great if you can find a good balance between quality and FPS.If there are too many FPS , you gonna "fluctuations" which will cause tearing w/o Vsync , same thing if the rig can't handle a steady flow.Cheers

  • Whats a good processor for the 4650?

  • @airsoftpr7

Any dual core should be fine for the most part. The 4650 is not that great as a gaming card.

Now since you asked this question in a Starcraft video, I'd guess that you are interesting for it, so you should know that this game is primarily cpu limited, so a good cpu is in order. AMD has released some good dual cores lately, at 3Ghz or above.

  • Is the benchmark taken with Vsync on?

  • @Nemix27

All settings are video recorded mate (1:22). Vsync is off.

  • lol whats your wallpaper

  • Well, I'm buyig new PC in about 5 days, but with my current rig I consider 13-15 fps as 'no lag' :D

  • @alekf hahah i consider 7+ as no lag lol but yeah, I'm getting a new graphics card soon too xD

  • the fun thing is that my rigg: Amd alton x2 3,0 ghz, ati 3870, 4gb ddr2 runs this game on ultra with no lagg at all. And its like a 300$ setup. =)

  • @Weson88

Try the same level at the same settings and you will see it! ;)

    Make a video of it.

  • @toutagamon i dont believe weson88... mine is core i5 750, 5570 1gb, 2 gb ram, could ran at ultra but not smooth.. and i overclock my video card too...

  • @jomac21

Well the 3870 is quite a bit faster than the 5570, but still, I didn't believe him either. Maybe he considers 20fps as no lag at all.

  • wud this run at 40 fps with the same graphics card but a i5 2.7 ghz quad processor?

  • @kiwimankiwi

    I believe so...!

There's a benchmark review over at Techspot. Have a look! ;)

  • @kiwimankiwi My Brother has i5 750 with an AMD 5850, runs ultra no problem...

  • Comment removed

  • hay does anyone know if this game would work well on an AMD Phenom ll quad core processor and ATI Radeon 5650?

  • @xxGODxOFxWAR on 1280x1024 with high settings u will get 30 fps

  • with an i7 860 at 2.8ghz and a gtx 460 running starcraft 2 at 1920 x 1080 will i be able to play the game on ultra at around 50 fps ?

  • @charlot1993

    Yes I believe so.

The good (?) thing about this game, is that it only supports two cores and when the 860 sees only two cores being used, it auto overclocks itself to like 3.2Ghz or something.

  • @toutagamon yeah i just ran a cpu-z on my computer and it says 3,3ghz

  • LAGS

  • @mgood2

    No this one is fine.

This is what you get from starcraft man. You can't do better.

  • This is not running in Crossfire right?? I'm just shocked at the fps you get in a game like this.

  • @SeymoarYaTutz

The game is very heavy. It is primarily cpu limited and on top of that, it only supports two threads. Imo, Blizzard fucked up hard on that.

I mean Supreme Commander 2, runs far more faster on my E6600, with a level of magnitude more action on the screen. Still, not a bad game.

Btw, this game does not support multi gpu either.

  • wow 60 fps on this rig, much more demanding than I thought it would be

  • @Tchelo9911

    Indeed.

Techspot has an interesting article regarding this game, benchmarking many graphics cards and cpus. It turns out it is primarily cpu limited.

  • I don't see what the big deal is about this game.

  • @mikey9890 the big deal is that the first one came out 12 years ago.

For one of the most epic of epics startegy games thats a hell of big deal.

  • why not use a fraps counter instead?

  • @CerealzTheDude

I use fraps to gather data while the game is playing. Unfortunately you cannot have the fraps counter on display, while doing that. At the end of the session, I show the average of frapslog.txt.
