Ok, leaving the shields off is NEVER a good idea, it won't rid iteslf of dirt... If the bearings are new, and have REAL ABEC ratings, there will be NO difference in speed between an ABEC 3 or an ABEC 9, unless you break 300 mph, wear level, cleanliness and lubricant are the only factors at skateboard speeds that will affect speed. (Free spinning a wheel has NO impact on actual speed under load)

it doesn't matter if you have bones swiss with geometrical precision or factory bearings (industrial bearing 608 rs 2 (rubber shield both sides) are good overall good and they are cheap and cost ridiculous compare to skate brand bearings , so if you want skate without bearing then get sponsored to get new bearings every week like this idiot

I can't beleieve that you are telling people to soak bearings in gasoline. Not only is it very dangerous, but if the bearing can't tolerate WD-40, then gasoiline will do even more damage.

If you feel like you have to use a solvent to clean your bearings, the kerosine is a lot safer, wont sponateously combust, and have less chance of eating the sof parts of the bearing.

Some of the stuff you say here is just...incorrect. Swiss or not, you're NOT supposed to leave the shield off. The dirt will NOT eventually come out of the bearings. The "cool sound" you get is the sound of slowly destroying your bearings.

Further, it's WD40, not DW40, which doesn't break down any plastic. It cleans out any oil/lubricant you might have in there and then the bearings have so much friction they get destroyed. You can still clean your bearings with it and lubricate them afterwards

Your shit rusted son. Soak them in Acetone or gasoline for a while, blow on them and lube them up. Also, don't listen to this fucking dickface. Taking the shield of the bearing makes it louder, true, but a loud bearing is a broken bearing. Keep your bearingsheilds on.

I openned them, and the one that was fucked up got "oxide" (I dont know in englsih how do you say when water gets in contact with metal and that orange whing appears).

I removed that with a strange thing that my grandmother has, put a lubrificator for machines and now they are ready..however its not the same as it was when I first bought it :T

right, i skated my new bones bearings a bit, few hours maybe over two weeks, the problem is they dont spin very much. i loosened the wheel nut but then the wheels would rattle when i skated but if i tighten the nut (to about half a turn less than full) then the wheels hardly spin at all and riding the board feels very tight. do i need to just keep skating them like this till they break in?
