  • I loved the commercials haha

  • Legend. you heard me.

a LEGEND. or may i say

    Legendary.

  • Nakno emog ja mohammed manjak

  • We Love you

  • As much as I admire Ali, how much of the advice he received was "You're carrying the banner of our religion". the pressure must have been enormous. And as much comfort as Ali draws from his religion, it may or may not have contributed to the way he is today. And that kind of pisses me off!!!

  • The man who made a world record in boxing will never be forgotten... The Man of Success!

  • it was no better back then than it is now. its just ali the greatest was boxing then and all those other great boxers. it was way worse back then. racist obviously

  • i did not skip the commercial part

  • sllam alekm

  • I came to watch the COMMERCIALS

  • wats with commercials

  • Commercials was as good as the video

  • the commercials are amazing...get a taste from the past on how it was like..

  • advertisements back then were hilarious

  • am i the only one who watched all the comercials at the end ?

  • @gesaemk That was a time when commercials didn't insult the intelligence of the public, like they do today

YouTube has the complete telecast of the first Monday Night Football game in 1970, including all the commercials. Unlike today, the average person in commercials was not portrayed as dumb and - as is quite prevalent nowadays - *mean-spirited* -- with so many commercials today involving the inflicting of pain and/or humiliation on others. See Nicolaus' book, The Triumph of Meanness

  • This was May 24, 1976

  • Great vid but why did you not give the date of the fight????

  • he was not well here he was suffering wit parkinsons disease

  • @LIVINGONTHEDOLE people do what they want he wanted to fight so he fought

  • Did he ever renounce the muzzie bullshit?

  • @poolehart no he renounced the shitte, sorry crissie bullcrap. he is not the type of black man to worship no white jesus

  • He should have stopped after Frazier.

  • when the GREAT boxers were seen on TV...for FREE!!!!

  • love this man

  • first time ive seen ali bleeding , must have caught a good one on the nose !

  • his speech is already affected here , bowe sounded the same in the end of his career , sad sad sad

  • Those were the golden days of boxing. Its nothing now compared to what it was then......

  • @truebeliever786 how is it any different? except the fact that boxers are now better

  • @bill23138 Load of bullshit. Its far different, boxers then had class, heart, they made the sport so great and entertaining (the Heavyweights I'm referring to), then right after that you had the great welterweight-middle weight era, Duran, Leonard, Hagler and Hearns... It was the best era, and boxers today aren't shit compared to those back then and anyone will tell you...

  • @truebeliever786 dude i got a better body than ali and im 19 years old. tyson makes joe frazier and ali look like two flat tires

  • @bill23138 Perfect load of bullshit. Body doesn't mean jack shit, boxing's about skill and class. I rank both Ali and Frazier ahead of Tyson, even though he was great.

Ali would be too quick for Tyson as I see it and his reach would cause him tremendous trouble, just look at the trouble he got from Tony Tucker, who wasn't half of Ali...

Furthermore, Tyson's biggest influence was Ali and I still consider Tyson part of the Golden era (60s, 70s and 80s)...

  • @truebeliever786 how the fuck can you rank frazier higher than tyson. dude do you really think frazier would of beat tyson?

  • @bill23138 No I think Tyson would've beat Frazier because of his speed (I think he'd win by a TKO in the late rounds by continuously hitting Frazier with unanswered shots). But the reason I rank Frazier above him is that he Frazier would've easily taken dude's that gave Tyson a real hard time, like Tony Tucker and he had more heart than any other boxer in history...

  • @truebeliever786 dude i wouldnt be so sure i think tony would of knocked out frazier tony would of been to strong and fast for him

  • @bill23138 Yeah right, Frazier's hits are like Dynamites, Frazier would've knocked him out, Frazier's punches are so deadly and devastating. That's the thing with Frazier, he's better than Tyson at getting inside bigger opponents who are good at keeping their smaller adversary in range while keeping them out of their range and then knocking them out, that's why I rank him above...

  • @truebeliever786 dude maybe joe would of because of his style but tyson is still a superior fighter

  • @bill23138 I agree Tyson would beat Frazier, but overall I'd rank Frazier above. You can't just rank someone based on who'd beat who, its about their overall ability.

Styles make fights. For instance, Gene Tunney, with his style, would've beaten Rocky Marciano, yet I'd rank Marciano would rank above Tunney because of his overall ability...

  • @truebeliever786 nah frazier would of won cuz hes got more heart. He would keep coming at tyson

  • @whisperkid1 You underestimate Tyson's heart, I know Frazier has more heart but Tyson himself still has heaps of heart... He would take hits like no one else could, he stood up after that massive Buster Douglas uppercut and Douglas needed 4 more hard hooks to get him down (even then Tyson nearly made the count).

I think speed and explosion would be the decisive factor here, I think Tyson would be too fast and explosive for Frazier, I give it to Tyson by a Round 9/10 TKO...

  • @truebeliever786 still if frazier knocked tyson down once even if tyson got up he would still loose the fight as he does not have enough heart to cope.

  • @whisperkid1 Sure he would.. Man you know fuck all about boxing. People like you pollute the internet with bollocks talk. Frazier would keep coming at Tyson yeah? Same as he did with Foreman, right? Heart? Bollocks.. He wouldn't have gone 5 rounds with Tyson. Joe Frazier was good but only good

  • @samooskhka he would smash tyson. END OFF!

  • @whisperkid1 sam langford smashes both

  • @samooskhka Joe Frazier was great, not just good. I'd rank him with Ali, Joe Louis, Foreman and Larry Holmes in the top 5 of greatest heavyweight of all time. That having said, he'd lose to Tyson, but I'd still rank Joe Frazier over Tyson for his overall accomplishments. Dempsey would get killed by Tyson, but I'd still rank Dempsey higher.

  • @bill23138 Look's don't signify strength, skill or speed..all about body for people like you pff

  • @50eathaters you people what the hell you mean you people!?

  • @bill23138 You fitness freaks, before you become angry you should ask, It wasn't about race of religion idiot...I am white, and no way am I racist.

  • @50eathaters who are you?

  • @bill23138 Why does it matter ? A guy on a forum

  • @50eathaters wait you people what the hell you mean you people?

  • @truebeliever786 This was past the golden days. Ali was diminishing in this period... 40's - 60's was the golden age of boxing.

  • @ELmahico1234 I'd say 40s - 80s, I consider Sugar Ray Leonard, Larry Holmes and Mike Tyson's era, to be part of this too... Those dudes were legendary...

  • @ELmahico1234 The golden era of heavyweights was actually from the 60s to the 70s. The greatest competition emerged during those times.

  • @truebeliever786 This was a little past the golden days however. At least as far as Ali's prime is concerned. Ali was never the same after Manila in 1975. Both Ali and Frazier shook the earth with their devastating bout. That was most likely the night the golden days ended. After that Ali and Frazier went downhill and the golden age followed.

  • @vladiator100 Yes but I don't consider the Golden era as just the Ali era, although Ali's era was the Golden Golden era, I consider Golden to be all the way from Joe Lous/Sugar Ray Robinson to Larry Holmes/Sugar Ray Leonard/Mike Tyson...

  • @truebeliever786 why was is better back then? its still 2 guys throwing punches today..

  • @RvE15021985 Its nothing, back then it was class, entertainment, movement and just plain thrilling. The fighters then had such charisma and greatness and such heart, far beyond fighters of today.

  • NICE VIDEO

  • @EllSieMovies Hard to argue that, well there is Ray Robinson.

  • Thanks for this video . Great !

  • Was Ali also the first boxer to thank his personal savior after a fight? It's now considered commonplace for most boxers to thank Jesus after a fight. I wonder if Ali started that trend.

Ali graciously thanks and acknowledges Ala, President Ford and Stepin Fetchit during his interview. How many boxers can say they have a relationship of sorts with the current president and a famous comedian? He was the greatest.

  • @ChrisM1234 only a small amount of boxers do that. -peace

  • @ChrisM1234 You never hear them thank Jesus for getting them kicked shitless in one round though.

  • @DrJReefer

LOl - Im a religious dude, but that was quite funny hehe :')

  • @ChrisM1234

    word to that man.

  • @ChrisM1234 Allah not Ala...have some respect for God, that is what Allah means. We also respect Jesus(pbuh), since we believe him to be a prophet of God, not God's son...Muhammad Ali said " Allah is the greatest"

  • @SMLIPRT Thanks for correcting a mere misspelling and letting me know more about your religion (even though you imply I'm unaware of certain facts). Nonetheless, very informative! Keep the faith..

  • great vid bro...thanks for sharing

  • I tune into these just to watch the commercials ;)
