We've had our machine for just over a month and are now getting the "Ventilate" error message. The book says to press the "Hot water" button (image 26 I think) but this does nothing. When we press the Menu button, it says "Energy Saving" and has a flashing asterix next to it, and under that, it says "Rinsing". It doesn't matter what button we press, nothing happens and we can't fix it. This is our second gaggia machine in 3 months. Have you had this before?
In the end we took it to get fixed. Now after each time we froth, we run hot water through the pipe to clear it of any milk. Haven't had a problem since.

Make sure you clean / flush your wand after each use.

froth/steam milk first, then brew espress shot into the milk.
