Also they don't have American flags the design is similar with the red and white strips but if you look you can see that it only has a single giant star, not several smaller ones. That flag is meant to represent Texas. :)

Santa Anna did not have authorization to grant independence. He did not surrender he was a prisoner of war, if he had surrendered it would have been a different story. Another thought, if Texas wanted independence why did it claim the Rio Grande as the border? The Mexican Texas border was the Rio Nueces, I didn't know that winning independence meant take what you want. If that was the case Mexico should have taken Cuba and the Philippines and the US should have taken Canada. Just saying
