  • yes it's all very nice, but how about the toxins in the fish catched from the sea? they're full of mercury from man's pollution which cause many health problems. only man would be so stupid to poison his own food source

  • This doesn't apply to adults?

  • You don't have to eat fish or take fish oil to get Omega 3. Fish get their omega 3s from algae. People can get theirs from plants. Provide conditions for adequate conversion (i.e. good health habits), and let your body regulate its own production of oils. For the few people who have a conversion disorder, epa and dha are available directly from algae.

  • I eat lots of fish. Almost all kinds of seafood in general. Maybe that's why I'm so good in math.

  • What the hell is a "Strap on the watch"?

  • Wow! So many misconceptions in these comments... Consuming more omega-3 does NOT make you "smarter" per se; it merely helps your brain "work faster" by facilitating neuron transmission speed. (Because our neuron membranes are largely composed of DHA, found in omega-3.)

If your brain is full of stupid thoughts, then a regular diet of omega-3 can only potentially make you think those stupid thoughts faster. But omega-3 alone is in no way going to turn those stupid thoughts into "smart" thoughts.

  • wow

  • @smiles4bieber Because you're bad at math doesn't mean your stupid. Some people are great at math but are terrible in other fields and you may not be bad at math, may be the way it's taught. Me personally, I'm better at math if there's some hard science involved. I rarely make any mistakes in calculations when doing math w/ science but just pure math, I make a lot of simple mistakes. People learn differently.

  • I never ate any omega 3 foods(Seafoods) when I was growing up :(.

  • Now an amazing Omega 3 from Sage oil please check it out at HolySageOmega3 tnx

  • If eating fish can make people smarter then shouldn't Japanese people be super smart considering the amount of fish they consume everyday, especially fishermen

  • This is true! I am eating more fish and I found out that I was getting smarter and smarter, my teacher telling me I'm better than the students at the smarter class right now.

  • The Key is Omega 3, people these fatty acid are the key to, best brain function, heart health, skin condition, immune system etc, trust me fish oil is the thing you want to be having. You can just go to Walmart and get some Omega 3 supplements there worth it I'm telling you.

  • what kind of fish can i get omega 3 from, is it possible thats why asians seem to be smarter? due to all the fish they eat? the brittish are very intelligent people also, charles darwin, richard dawkins, stephen hawking, isaac newton, bean.

  • @ericdelossantos1 lol. I don't think that's why asians seem to be smarter. And that's pretty much a stereotype, coming from an Asian.

  • @ericdelossantos1 Asians (almost exclusively East Asian) tend to be smarter because education is pushed so much in their culture. In China, it's almost cult like.

  • i tried consuming Omega 3 Artic C from

Forever Living Product- and it sharpens my memory , - because omega 3 is good for blood circulation in our brain and removes the plaque in our arteries and viens and it prevent clot as well, my blood pressure is normal now because it also reduce trigleceride (bad fats) in our blood -- it also prevent inflamation in our bone joints, -- positive result -

  • You can also get omega3 from nuts olive oil and more. Fishes has omega3 in their flesh becasue it's in what they eat. Live and let live people...

  • my little brother eats a lot of fish and he's a lot smarter then me.

  • First of all fish oil supplements are a processed food !and they become Rancid on the process . all fish is contaminated with MERCURY and PCB ...want to be healthy grow your own food and dont eat process foods my great grandmother died when she was 105 and she didnot take fish oil and no vitamin pills !! people are lazy to cook so they eat like pigs garbage ! and sit on the computure and on the cell phone getting emf radiation

  • This experiment is slightly flawed in that these children are now 6 months older than they were at trial start date. Even 2 months is a long time in child development.

  • @TheSpankymonkey well they have a placebo group too

  • the kids in 0:49 and 0:54 are so so cute!!!!

  • NO OFFENSE COMENTS,IM INTERESTING KNOW THIS QUESTION,THEY WILL EXPLAINS THE HAPPENED EVENTS ON THIS DOCUMENTARY

  • would anyone recommend this for adults? i need some of this because i forget stuff like crazy and cant consentrate and have trouble learning all the time.

  • @mexiluvsw Absolutely. I've been taking it for a few months to study for a board exam and I've noticed my memory is a lot sharper. Just make you sure you get a good quality supplement like Carlson's Fish Oil or Nordic Naturals and not the shitty Walmart brand

  • Why they ask these fucking questions when they already know is a sham of a sham. By the way farmed fish is bad

  • haha crabfrom thats what i was thinking

  • the kids are cute!!!

  • eat what east asians eat. whatever it is.

the average IQ of the world is rated:

    1. south korea

    2. japan

    3. china and north korea

    4. singapore

    lol

  • Will eating fish make you smarter? Let's see...what do Asians eat alot of? It's not redneck burgers that's for sure!

  • Would this have the same effects in Adults or is it only good to increase brain activity in children?

  • eeeeem...

so.. how much time eating that pills i will see the results?

  • Did you now that the body cell membranes prefer omega-3 fatty acids than omega-6 fatty acids? In fact the o-6 to 0-3 ratio is way too high leading to disease. The more 0-3 we have in our diet the better.

  • where do we get the o-6?

  • We normally get O-6 fatty acids from certain plants and animal flesh.

  • well, i've read an artical that there are 3 different kind of oil in fish that helps the brain.. I don't think eatting fish all the time is a good idea . u can eat fish sometimes but the most important of being smart is consentration . If u consentrate, you can definentaly achive ur gole.. thats what my teacher told me..

  • Was your teacher also selling you adderall ?

  • this is such a poor experiment, it's rather pathetic...

  • And in your opinion, what would be a good experiment? Better yet, explain why this is a poor experiment.

  • Does eating fish make children smarter?

Well, Not at all. Imagine that, kids eating fish(everyday). Mind you, child health and child nutrition both work together. I mean eating "everyday" the right food. In short, children are so smart, they just need attention/dedication for their development .

  • I think there is a positive correlation with how healthy and diverse your diet is and how sharp and alert you are!

    Anyone else agrees?

  • I totally agree, its crazy often as a people we overlook our diets. I know its no bid deal and all. Its only what we put into our BODIES! LOL

Good eating, proper exercise and lifestyle all play in our success.

  • Who's the doofus talking at 1:14? The brain consumes Omega-3 continuously, not just developmental stages. From a 2000 study - "The brain is particularly rich in PUFAs such as DHA, and changes in tissue membrane composition of these PUFAs reflect that of the dietary source. The decline in structural and functional integrity of this tissue appears to correlate with loss in membrane DHA concentrations" and a 2007 study - "the adult human brain consumes AA and DHA at rates of 17.8 and 4.6 mg/day"

  • its amazing what hapens when kids and adualts eat the right food...

  • just amagine all the aspects with would change if we were to become conscious about commen sence and not power over each other!!

  • Yo les he dado a mis hijos DHA, el principal elemento del omega 3 y hemos visto excelente resultados.

  • Looks like you're really into nutrition. Omega 3 is an important supplement. You've provided some good information. It's great to see some one else really contribute. Well Done

  • Just as I thought.
