That was the initial plan. I have an earlier version of that locomotive that needs new drivers (it's drive gears are worn to the point they're starting to unmesh).
A friend of mine found the set in a junk bin and bought it for me as a parts source. But I went and thought about it a little. I have a complete Black Cave Flyer train--despite missing parts, I could restore it fairly easily. So I'll do that, find a postwar junker to re-wheel my original loco, and run both sets together.
Hope that Engine & Tender Aren't headed to the scrap yard
