Merlin, I appreciate your comment. Tough situation. No, not feeding the coyotes Huh-uh. Never. I guess GOOD fences is about the best solution, even though expensive. Wish it were possible that ALL of us; humans and animals, could live in peace side-by-each.
I like coyotes and get the point, but where else does a farmer raise chickens and sheep, inside? I have become a recent lacto-ovo vegetarian which I am still grappling over because I want the chickens who lay the eggs I eat to be free range, The coyote should be outside but so should the other animals too. I say put food outside for the coyotes enough that they won't want the livestock. Is that possible? Other than man who are the predators of coyotes?
As AC in SA BC said, "kinda boring" and I must agree. But this is my tribute to coyotes. Someday I'll tell you my favorite coyote story.
