  • A lot of ppl who aren't really into Sci-Fi like Star Wars better.

    I like both

  • blasphemy

  • hmmmmm well, i like voyagers doctor

  • star trek was FAR earlyer than star wars

  • Does it really matter? No, not at all. After all..

    DOCTOR WHO RULES!! (d&r)

  • Star Wars jumped the Shark with the Prequels!

  • STAAAAR WAAAAARS!!!!

  • Star Trek for life.

  • THEY ARE INCOMPARABLE.

ONE is based on science. It likes to focus on the technical things.

THE OTHER is based on story/character development in space, a battle of good versus evil and all that--I'm talking episodes III, IV, V, and VI.

NEITHER is comparable to the other. If you want to compare Star Trek to something, put it next to Stargate. =P

  • STAR TREK!

  • Both are equally shitty.

  • STAR WARS STAR WARS STAR WARS!!!!!!!^^

  • Star trek !!

  • STAR TREK!

  • Trek Wars.

  • STAR TREK

  • Star Wars doesn't have the fatal exploding-console design flaw...

  • @TonyEvans96 true but Star Trek doesn't have crash an A-wing into the bridge and destroy/disable the entire ship flaw

  • @Guantan45 ps Stormtroopers the Red Shirts of Star Wars and way more of those guys died

  • @Guantan45 Even the mighty TeddyBear beats StormTroopers. hehe

  • YEAH! STAR WARS !!!!

  • Hahahaha he likes SW

  • Universal Century Gundam beats them both combined *hides after saying that*

  • Hmmm... Who cares? Like what you like and live on.

  • both of them are equally good but for different reasons.

  • 40K!

  • Definitely star trek!

  • Okay uh no.

  • No way star trek first, star wars second

  • Star Wars is a one night stand. Quick thrills but you know the whole thing wasn't sincere and you were only there for the excitement.

Star Trek is a life long love affair. It can be boring, it can be frustrating. But with all the time you put into it you reap the benefits over the lone haul and you're given treasures that can't be taken away by some fat guy who in the Star Wars shirt who gets Sci-Fi confused with what he's ordering at a fat food joint. Yes that was random.

  • @danyeo lol said it perfectly.

  • @danyeo lol was the fat food joint thing on purpose or did u mean fast food joint lol

  • Disliked... cause of the wrong answer. Star Trek ftw

they should rather go mythbusting of why all people that find Star Wars superior are wrong.

  • I dont get why people always compare star trek and star wars.. is it just because both have "star" in the name? Star Trek is science fiction, while Star Wars is not science fiction but of the genre called fantasy (I dont mean that in a derogatory way), so it would be more relevant to compare SW to another fantasy trilogy instead, such as Lord of the Rings. Oh, and also, contrary to popular belief, it is actually possible to love both Star Trek and Star Wars.

  • @GroovingPict; I prefer Starcraft.

  • @GroovingPict I think it's because of how fanatical their fans are.

  • Why so serious, fanboys? Star Wars and Star Trek are just movies and tv shows. Not important enough to fight over. It's not Adam's fault for siding with the superior one.

  • The best difference to say is: Star Trek is more about politics (and so scheming, bribing and betrayal). Star Wars on the other hand is about a small Group of idealists fighting against a corrupt and gruesome government. (isn't that called 'terrorism' today? *waiting for the trolls to come*)

So: if you like prolitics take Star Trek and if you like action take Star Wars.

    It's just as easy.

  • theres soo many startrek nerds on the internet..

  • @187bobafett Because calling yourself "187bobafett" isn't nerdy in the slightest.

  • Star Trek: teaches you how to live peacefully with others, shows tolerance, equality and no bias, a unified mankind that works together to eliminate poverty, war and famine.

Star Wars: teaches you how to make out with your sister.

  • @davegreenwood1993; I dunno. That seems like a pretty Win cause for the Star Wars peeps.

  • I actually like both Star Trek and Star Wars. :)

  • @ajgoodwinaviation they should think of a name for fans like like "Bistarsual"

  • @ajgoodwinaviation Star trek is much better though.

  • ugh, Adam! Star Trek!....I have lost respect for you man smh

  • TREK

  • Nah....Star Trek

  • Star Wars.

  • Here's how Star Trek vs. Star Wars would go: (On Enterprise-E) Picard: "Open channels." Vader: "We are going to destroy Earth." Picard: "Well carry on, regulations are very strict about interfering in other cultures." Vader: "We demand your surrender!" Picard: "Well is that all you want? My accent may be British, but I assure I'm French!" Vader: "COWARDS! We will destroy you as a favor!" (Death Star blows up) Vader: "WHAT? Picard!" Sisko: (Leans in Vader's face in screen) "I'm NOT Picard!"
  • @MrImastinker Yeah no question, but Star Trek's technology is better.

  • @SovereignStatesman Bigger and more powerful can often be better, and Star Wars tech is pretty big. But than again, you don't see Vader beaming down to Cloud City, so you may be right that Star Trek tech can be better in terms of being versatile and useful.

  • fu adam! lol

  • I do not like either of them, but I would choose star trek over that fucked up star wars any day. George Lucas... what a fuck-wit.

  • O.o this probably means that Jamie likes something completely different.

The Hyneman Empire, kind of catchy!

  • One word: Khan.

  • @robotwookie

That failed set of designer-genes? Surely you jest.

  • Star Trek > Star Wars

    Still love Star Wars though.

  • Star Trek is boring!! Star Wars Fan 4 life!!

  • You guys know that the Federation and Jedi would probably be the best of friends if they ever met, right? For you Sith fans. . . *scratches head*. . . I dunno, Romulans?

  • all you kirk loving spock suckers need to get the hell out of here

  • @TheDuckmonk star trek is star wars for highly intellectual minded geeks/nerds/dorks.

  • Star Trek by far!

  • The best is Kaamelott !

  • First Contact vs. Episode 1, no contest.

  • @YouCubed22 Ya, there is no contest. Their both shit.

  • damn trekkies everywhere

  • @georgeskywalker92 i hear you something must be done with these kirk loving spock sucking trekkies once and for all

  • @DoctorWeeTodd Only because no one can take Star Wars seriously. See RedLetterMedia's review of the Phantom Menace right here on YouTube.

  • screw you theduckmonk the empire will easily defeat any star trek ship using the death star laser

  • @heavy123212321 Yeah? and my penis can shoot hot ejaculent that can melt the Death Star, WHAT THE FUCK are you trying to say?

  • They are both Good. Star Wars, more bang for 6 Episodes.

Star Trek Fuck tonnes of material.. so you can watch it more and more often :/

  • i LIKE wars, it's pretty awesome in fact; i just like Trek much much more.

  • star trek

  • Oh, Adam...just cause you worked on Star Wars doesn't mean it's better.

Said the guy with Jedi in his name. XD

  • @DragonJedi0 so im confused for or against star wars, cause star wars is better

  • Star Wars as a kid, Trek as a man.

  • @chrisfromoh traitor!!! you kirk loving spock sucker!!!

  • @chrisfromoh Well adam is a kid so... =)

  • Trek

  • there it is folks

  • YAY! STAR WARS WINS AGEN!

  • Not if you watch the Star Wars prequels Adam...

  • @garamonde Have you watched Star Trek V before? Watch that, then bitch about the prequels.

  • @mathewfinch As a matter of fact... YES! I have watched Star Trek V MANY times before! I've watched all the Trek films, all the Trek series, so I think my opinion is well...(and pardon me if this sounds high and mighty) fairly solid. But ironically, as bad as Star Trek V is, it STILL has a leg up on the Star Wars prequels in that at least it tries to have some character development.

  • @garamonde don't get me wrong. the badness of ST V in no way excuses the badness of the prequels. My only point is that ST and SW both have their highs and lows. The only real difference is that Brennan and Braga at least have SOME reverence for ST, while George Lucas does not seem to have any reverence for his own creation. IMO, both are absolutely fantastic at points, abysmal at others.

  • @mathewfinch That is a very good point. I don't know about Rick Berman though... he was responsible for launching Voyager, Enterprise and three very bad TNG movies...

  • @garamonde First Contact was great. You're not referencing that one too, are you?

  • @MrImastinker

Yeah I agree, think about the pod-races and "roger-roger" robots and Jar Jar and Hayden Christenson's great acting and Nasally Portman .....

    oh wait, nevermind!

  • @SovereignStatesman No, I'm talking about the badass Liam Neeson. Ian McDiarmid as the diabolical and awesome Palpatine. Yoda. Mace motherf***ing Windu! I'm talking about the fantastic score by John Williams. Not to mention the space battles, Darth Maul, and the epic duel above the lava in ROTS.

    Need more?

  • @MrImastinker

None of that makes up for it!

Jar-jar's Benny-Hill battle, the "Ben Hur, done that" podrace, Anakin's snivelly love-whining, the "Gladiator" style arena-battles in the Geonosis coliseum, the "Lost and Foundry" scene in the droid-factory etc.

    AWFUL!

  • @SovereignStatesman I'll give you points for the Ben Hur and Lost and Foundry puns, but only in your opinion do the awesome parts I mentioned not make up for them. I just fast forward through the egregious whining parts and Jar-Jar. The Gladiator connection was to real-life blood-sport in Rome, not just the movie. But the factory was a little obnoxious, I'll give you that as well.

  • @MrImastinker "The Gladiator connection was to real-life blood-sport in Rome, not just the movie."

Yeah so were the chariot-races, big whoop. It's still from the movie Ben Hur, just like the arena-scene was right out of Gladiator.

As for the factory, I call it a "Lost and Foundry" scene because it's originally righ there at youtube.com/watch?v=-_Agtpt4rTA

    Look familiar?

  • @SovereignStatesman A ha. I see. When talking about the connection, all I meant was Lucas was influenced by Rome. And his Pod Race was actually inspired by his real-life experience with racing cars.

  • @MrImastinker Yeah well it's not inspired enough. I actually prefer a Quiddich scene, it's that bad.

We've SEEN enough Roman films, we don't need more. Lucas simply thinks that anything he does will be boffo, and so he goes where EVERY producer has before.

Even Palpatine taking power by stoking a war was from Spartacus, and a slave becoming a chariot race-driver for his freedom (since pods look just like chariots with 2 horses pulling them-- even the cheater? BEN HUR, DONE THAT!

  • @SovereignStatesman I get it.

  • @MrImastinker

    Here's what I think of the lava-scene:

    youtube.com/watch?v=Ktbpbz3o4gU

  • @SovereignStatesman But I get what you mean about the foundry part.

  • @MrImastinker

Yeah, because it's lifted directly from that Popeye cartoon, doing the same basic things right down to the slag-bucket, metal-chopper and swinging hammer that takes 3PO's head off and knocks Popeye for a loop.

  • @garamonde

And creating the Borg, a cyber-S&M cult that just never goes away, even though all you have to really do is jam their transmissions and they're lost.

  • @garamonde Berman's issues always seemed like a little bit of incompetence and a lack of understanding of what Star Trek is to me

  • @mathewfinch Yeah I think you're right. Makes me wonder how he got the job in the first place.

  • Who's better Jamie or Adam.....no brainer it's Kari.

  • Adam is wrong... Deep space 9 was nothing, but star wars episodes I, II and III also sucked. And then you have star trek: enterprise, next generation and voyager vs star wars episodes IV, V and VI.The biggest difference between star wars and star trek, is that star trek good guys don't suck. I mean come on Data is funnier than Han Solo, and Picard better than Luke. The best thing about Star Wars is the dark side: Darth Vader, the stormtroopers, their uniforms and the vehicles.

  • @2ndltalfredludlow Whoops made a mistake: ment instead of Enterprise, the original series.....

  • @2ndltalfredludlow ep 3 was a master pieace.

  • @TrueSomename Nooooooooooo.

  • George Lucus was a trek fan before he made starwars and said himself startrek was more thoughtful and was about important ethics and philosophy, star wars (the original) was a fun boom boom bang, and starwars (The new) was plain dumb.

  • STAR TREK FOR THE WIN!!!

  • Star Wars is Star Trek for three year olds.

  • @TheDuckmonk I prefer Star Wars, but your comment is idiotic. What 3 yr olds can understand convoluted science jargon? They sure as hell can understand lasers, Jar Jar and Ewoks. Dammit, I'm going to have to switch sides if the Star Wars fans get any dumber. And yes I'm super literal, but you can even move them up to atleast 7 years old and they still wouldn't understand the dialogue of Star Trek.

  • @allnamesaretakenful Either I'm misreading you're comment or you are misreading mine.

  • @TheDuckmonk well yours says "Star Wars is Star Trek for three year olds." now the only way that is readable is Star Wars is, Star Trek is for three year olds. Anyone tell me if I'm wrong, I'm not the best on proper grammar, but that's the only way I could understand his statement.

  • @allnamesaretakenful It just appears that your counter-argument is in support of my original argument while at the same time calling it idiotic.

  • @TheDuckmonk I'm going to make this as straight forward as possible. Are you saying Star Trek is for three year olds? This is why grammar is important, it helps avoid confusion.

  • @allnamesaretakenful No, I'm not.

Star Wars = Star Trek but for three year olds.

    How is that?

    Other Examples:

    Meth is Coffee for extremists

College is High School for adults

    Hawaii is Asia for Californians

    Feel stupid yet? :)

  • @TheDuckmonk I don't feel stupid, I'm the one using good grammar from the get go. Had you done the same there would be no confusion. If English isn't your first language it's not my fault.

  • @allnamesaretakenful I'm afraid I see nothing but common English in my original post. Oh well, what can you expect from a SW fan?

  • @TheDuckmonk Star Wars vs Star Trek is like a serious debate for three year olds.

  • @TheDuckmonk

Star Trek has LITERAL star destroyers LOL

  • Ever heard of the Death Star?

  • @bakerandbaker1

Ooooh, the death star, a 150-mile wide bomb that can blow up an Earth-sized planet... and be destroyed by a well-placed torpedo.

Meanwhile a trilithium warhead is a little bitty missile that can destroy and entire STAR SYSTEM.

  • @SovereignStatesman I take it then you've never read the Star Wars books, particularly the series involving the Sun Crusher? It's a little ship (Size of a fighter) that is designed to make stars nova, and was indestructable, they parked it into the Yavin star and it did nothing to the ship, only way to contain it was throw it into a black hole. Han flies it through an Imp SD for the lols.

  • @scarywog

    EU ain't canon, derrr..

Go to canonwarsDOTcom if you want details, off you go.

  • @TheDuckmonk Star Trek is Stargate for old farts

  • @JPeel459

Stargate? A magic portal to fairy-land?

Geez you're fucked in the head without a condom.

  • @SovereignStatesman Stable wormhole, Star Trek used them too. Stargate took what star trek did right, did it better, then didn't do what star trek did wrong (which admitidly isn't much). Star Trek is good, but stargate is just better. You have actualy seen the show right? You're not just judging it based on what you think it is right?

  • @JPeel459

Yeah it's Narnia, the Lion the Witch and the Wormhole. What-EVA!

  • @SovereignStatesman If Stargate is Narnia, Star Trek is Oz

  • @JPeel459

    Er no, it's the future.

  • @SovereignStatesman And Stargate is the present, your point?

  • @JPeel459

    NARNIA!

  • @SovereignStatesman When you have a real argument, I'll hear it. Until then, get a life.

  • @JPeel459

There is no argument, Star Trek pwns without question.

  • He's a special fx geek - of course he would like Star Wars more. Star Wars (original trilogy) is great, no argument there, but Star Trek is more meaningful and actually tackles real issues. Star Wars is classic good vs. evil tale with terrible dialogue and questionable acting.

  • Star Wars.

  • star trek sucks anyways

  • the wrath of khan, or the one where they go back in time to bring back a whale, to me those two were star trek's best movies i really liked them they also had a great story line, the old star wars had good special effects but the newer star wars movies were just plain garbage the old stuff was really good tho.

  • This is one place where Adam is just dead wrong.

  • Star trek has a better storyline.

    Star wars.......cool armor I guess

  • Go back to doing special effects and stop pretending to science, assholes

  • YEAH!!! Most Trekkies here probably don't know anything from the Expanded Universe, and can't grasp the full-blown awesomeness of the Original Trilogy.

  • Comment removed

  • it's like comparing an apple to an orange

  • star trek is better than star wars, an the new star wars movies really sucked but the old ones from the 70's were really good.

  • @TiMeDriFterZ yeah but all the star trek movies sucked

  • I can't decide. XD

  • star trek will always rape star wars

  • I would much rather watch Jeri Ryan take it off. (4th video down on right side btw)

  • hm space elf tickles my neck and i fall asleep or shoot lightning out of my hand with a laser sword and bring a starship down with my mind what sounds cooler

  • BSG.

  • Press 9 and see the magic happen!

  • Have to give it a thumbs down.

  • Star Trek has better movies, TV series and Canon.

Star Wars has better Video Games, Books and 'non' Canon works.

  • I like both about the same! Seen all the Star Wars movies and seen all the episodes of all the Star Trek series! :)

  • STAR TREK I AM TREKI

  • star wars, adam, chuck norris, that's the answers to all questions

  • THANK YOU!!!!IVE SEEN MORE STAR TREK BUT STAR WARS IS THE BOMB!!!!!!!

  • i say...B5!

  • i like how the like/dislike bar is almost 50/50 :P

  • he only says that because he was part of the star wars special effects crew. so in other words he was''paid off''

  • CURSE YOU, JAMMIE!

  • yay star trek sucks i luv star wars

  • What? Star Trek of course. Star Wars is a myth.

  • He worked for LucasArts. Busted.
