Sadly that's not possible. In Ultimate Alliance Nightcrawler was just a part of the story and not available to play. Look up the "prequels" instead; X-Men Legends and X-Men Legends II - Rise of the Apocalypse.

Actually you can buy him in the heroes/villains character pack on xbox 360 marketplace. I think you get Hawkeye, Hulk and Cyclops too

(and in the villains pack you get Dr Doom, Magneto, Sabretooth and Venom)
