We genuinely care about you? How pathetic is this? Have fun with overhyped Arthur and hopefully you get his overhyped brother as well. Two attention whores whose star ratings were obviously inflated by their fat "mentor". Arthur couldn't see the field at Miami despite their lack of depth at LB. And Bryce, well, he would be 5th string if he stayed committed to Miami as well.
one thing i've noticed about bryce is that he doesn't really care about the hype that he's getting. he just wants to play football and score. that's a good thing
hahah it's funny could u blame??? kansas st. is terrible have they even won a national championship??? when the last time they played for the big 12 title???
when they beat oklahoma in the darren sproles days, but ever since then, and their entire history before sproles, k state has and forever will be a joke in the world of college football, bill snyder is their coach again and his first order of business was his chicken move of ducking out of the Miami home and away series contract that was agreed to before he came back, he knew that was a death wish and his kittens couldn't match up. GO CANES
Kansas State is rising back to the top. Snyder is one of the greatest coach's of all time. He'll get the right players. Chris Harper realized it. Imagine what he'd do with Bryce Brown.
@wordfo1 haha dude k-state has 2 big 12 tittles 1 away from being tied for the most in big 12 south and i can see it right now k-state 2011 big 12 champions they finally have the talent back the defence has to get a lil faster and with the recruits they are bringing in they have the speed needed

@RockChalkWoody hahaha thats funny cause what i hear no wait it is what i see know he is on the 2011 recruiting list for kansas state so get ready to get ur asses owned again this year
@RockChalkWoody Yeah too bad he does because I know him personally. You're just an annoying KU fan who goes around talking stuff when in reality you and your school is filled with a bunch of has-beens
So Tennessee put out one of the all-time great quarterbacks, the greatest defensive lineman (and arguably best defensive player) of all time, the best defensive player in the league currently, and the defensive rookie of the year. So long as Berry stays healthy, he's easily the best defensive prospect in next year's draft and could give Tennessee back-to-back Defensive ROYs. Guess Miami's more about quantity than quality, no surprise there, but even that's changing with so few pro prospects left
both schools have better track records miami put out frank gore willis mcgahee clinton portis najeh davenport and many others and usc put out lendale white reggie bush and prolly others i dont follow them
Tennessee put out one of only five backs to rush for 2,000 yards in a season, as well as travis henry in recent years. Miami put out some smaller backs, and some like Portis do very well, but I wouldn't compare Portis's best years in Denver to Lewis's best years in Baltimore.
USC used to put out great backs. Now both Bush and White are backups to guys that were practically anonymous in college. The message Bryce Brown got is that Tennessee is the place if you want to be prepared for the NFL.
for tennessee you named only one person and you cannot deny that miami in the recent past has been NFLU and especially at the RB position and you forgot to mention Frank Gore you only mentioned on Tennessee RB and i named two from Miami and 2 from USC. Backup or not Bush or White both impact their team. Granted i think that Reggie Bush should be a WR but thats a different discussion
1. Frank Gore's a great running back, between the 20's
2. I named Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry. Henry's still an eligible free agent and has had more long-term success than most Miami backs and produces more in the average season than Bush and White combined.
3. Brown picked Tennessee because he wants to be a little like Reggie Bush, only without all of the injuries, fumbles, and ineptitude at running forward.
Tennessee has been running back U! At one time there were 5 in the NFL at the same time from UT Vols. Travis Henry just fucked up and got arrested. He'll kick ass at Tennessee.
Tennessee puts plenty of everything into the NFL, quarterbacks, tailbacks, linemen, linebackers, defensive backs, there's no position that pro potential can't develop.
jamal and travis is the only good running backs, peyton manning anyone else at quarterback is irrelevant, linebackers none can come to mind, d-line UT has put numerous hall of famers and for DB's can't say i know many but one that points out is eric berry and he isn't even eligible for the draft
1. You can't think of Al Wilson, or the NFL's defensive rookie of the year last year?
2. Yeah, Tennessee only put one guy out that will go down as arguably the best quarterback to ever play the game, totally irrelevant except for the 3-time MVP winner
3. "Only" putting out two probowl running backs over the last decade is better than just about any school in the country can say. Contrary to popular belief, most schools don't produce multiple NFL starting-caliber players at any position so easily
i forgot about Al wilson and jerod mayo i will give you, miami put out more pro bowlers in this decade ed. james, willis mcgahee, frank gore, clinton portis. you lucky we talking about running backs i will school you with all positions from miami, and miami produces starting caliber players at every position except quarterback. u will lose this debate stop now for i put out every position
1. Henry was always a better back than Mcgahee, and his career production is still better than gore's career production, especially considering production in the redzone.
2. Miami's put out some great players on defense. Tennessee put out the best defensive linemen in NFL history, arguably the best defensive player ever, and puts out a star defensive linemen, linebacker, or defensive back just about every other year.
3. Tennessee puts out starter caliber players everywhere, even punters.
Remember when the Bills thought that Willis McGahee was better than Henry, so they dropped Henry? Then the supposedly uber-talented McGahee responded with two mediocre years before they decided that he wasn't worth the investment and traded him to Baltimore?
oh remember when willis mcgahee left and went to the pro bowl after he left buffalo and he is a dominate running back in the league now since he left buffalo oh damn i think he the man in baltimore sorry sucka u have lost this debate
Remember when Mcgahee lost his starting job twice in his career because he was too big a pussy to handle the load? He lost his job to a fucking fullback that had never played tailback before last year. He reached a level of pathetic failure few running backs ever reach, truly an accomplishment.
Losing your job to a fullback that never played tailback in college or the pros before that season. It takes a special kind of awful to force another player to change positions just so they can take your spot on the depth chart.
see now your mad you just mad cause you root for a scrub team havent been to or even had a decent sniff towards a national championship and as far as i can tell you still haven't named any players besides jamal, peyton, white. who are pro bowl caliber and i gave you one and thats eric berry your team sucks. you know your trash when you bring all-time stats and trophies you trash, you squad trash, and i can counter react any player who is better from miami so you have lost and kiss my feet
A Miami fan telling someone else how far they have fallen? shit you can't even compete in the ACC, which is truly stunning. And comparing all-time players, compare any quarterback in Miami history to Manning. We put the best defensive linemen in NFL history into the league, and the best defensive lineman (and arguably defensive player) in the league currently is also from UT, which makes it even more amazing considering Manning won his third MVP last year. We have all-stars, and we're better now
And comparing current players, Berry is infinitely better than anyone on your entire team, offense or defense, and we're generally as good or better than Miami at every position. Keep in mind, last year ended as a transition year, Miami has been bad for years and should remain bad. As far as the future of the programs, we already took Bryce Brown from you, and we could easily take more if we actually decide to recruit your targets. UT's got Miami beat in the past, present, and future.
and you on some bull shit eric berry aint better than sean taylor or ed reed so u lost safety. nobody better than warren sapp so u lost at dt. nobody better than ray lewis, dj williams, johnathan vilma, jon beason, sean speance, and authur brown, so u lost at linebacker, no one better than andre johnson, santana moss, reggie wayne so u lost at wr. only person u got from fucking tennessee is peyton manning and reggie white. u have de and qb. cant see me in running backs or oline i have schooled u
In your anger, you've apparently lost reading comprehension. I said Berry was better than anyone on Miami right now, which is true. Same with the rest of the positions, we're better right now and we will be better for a long time.
No one is better than Tennessee at defensive linemen, and we put out some great linebackers, including Jerod Mayo, who's going to be the best middle linebacker in the league within three years and is already better than Vilma or Beason ever were in the pros.
see i was going to root for tennessee this year because of eric berry i liked him since high school but right now bout to shut you down. right now u have no linebackers better than sean spencer. have no corners better than brandon harris. aldarius johnson is better wr. these are some of the players who are gonna be superstars and u know im right they were all freshmen and now most been on the northwestern national champ team so if it aint this season next season as juniors they are a problem.
Rico McCoy will be better within Monte Kiffen's system, we can find cover-2 corners that will be more than effective enough for the scheme, and aldarius johnson didn't do anything special last year. Like many Miami recruits, he's got the talent and they make a lot of noise about him and he doesn't get his shit together within four years. And no, it won't be alright for Miami, they've sucked for more than four years with great recruiting. The supposed superstar talent is drying up with the team
hold up bitch. i am not a miami fan. In college i root for players not teams i pick a new college team to root for every year and u shut your mouth with that reggie white is the greatest defensive player in NFL history you just a college boy who watch espn and decides that whatever mel kiper say u gonna roll wit. aint no reggie fucking white better than some damn lawrence taylor or sam huff. and peyton manning is great but damn everyone knows they pick tom brady.
So basically you're saying that you're a bandwagon bitch that roots for any team with a player you like. Why are you still a Miami fan, then? Did they even get anyone drafted last year?
Reggie White is at least the best defensive linemen in NFL history, possibly the greatest ever considering he played his assignments when LT rushed the passer whether he was supposed to rush or drop back.
Sam Huff? He was great, but best ever? Definitely not the best linebacker ever.
actually how am i a bandwagon if i watch the recruits since they was in high school. i was wit miami because kenny phillips sophmore year in high school. and u playing favoritism you know reggie white is not the greatest defensive player of all time. and you dont know football if you think sam huff isn't the greatest of all time. ray lewis is my idol and he not better than sam huff and if it's not sam huff it is lawerence taylor . he can never be imitated
You seem to be imitating LT's drug habit at the moment with the rapidly declining ability to speak in coherent sentences. Huff is not widely regarded as the best ever, some thing he is, just like some think LT is, or Lott, or White, many believe Jack Ham also belongs in the conversation because of his willingness and ability, unlike LT, to cover and play his assignments.
Ray Lewis is your idol? I live in Atlanta, we sure remember Ray Lewis.
Football is a MONSTROUS source of income for UT, and facilities are constantly being upgraded and built. they're funded by a very passionate and wide-scale fan base.
Oregon is funded by a LOADED booster in Nike. their money comes from a company.
neither school had an advantage over the other in this category in recruiting. but I give UT an advantage in stability. IMO, that kind of fan base is much less likely to disapear than a corporation.
It should also be noted that Brown has openly talked about wanting to go to Oregon and seriously considered going there for awhile, but chose Tennessee based on a visit he took after signing day. If the facilities at Oregon are so damn amazing, clearly they were lacking in other areas if Brown couldn't pick Oregon over any other team he had visited before signing day. On the other hand, he visited Tennessee and was signed up within weeks.
all i have to say is someone from the sec will win it again this year could be anyone from sec cause we are all head and shoulders above any other conference in the nation and sec will be 4 time defending national champs and the end of the year wait and see
obviously you know nothing about the athletic venues in knoxville when lane kiffin got here he said he was in awe cause he had never saw facilities like the university of tennessee has and that is coming from a west coast guy so......
They're definitely not going to win next year or in the near future. Tennessee obviously isn't there yet, either, but they pulled in prospects Oregon can only dream of despite dropping the head coach with two weeks to go in the regular season, to go along with previously underdeveloped talent from Fulmer's last few years. UT's not going to have to wait for Urban Meyer to go to ND before they can compete in the SEC, while Oregon will be stuck behind USC as long as Carroll is there.
Considering USC is rebuilding with a new QB and rather inconsistant RB's and a new Defense, Oregon could win the Pac 10 this year since they've got USC @ Autzen.
Oregon got Jonathan Stewart when he was the # 1 prospect in HS. We weren't "Dreaming".
Unless you're expecting USC to completely shit themselves simply for having to reload on offense, Oregon didn't play them well enough last year to reasonably expect to suddenly topple the giant this year.
He was the best prospect you had gotten in years, and by far the best prospect to come since 2005. And that being said, he was the top tailback prospect in his class, not the best overall prospect. Great recruiters get more than one blue-chip prospect every four years.
Oregon beat them with their backup quarterback versus your best quarterback in years.
All either 4 or 5 star? Tennessee pulled in that many big-name prospects in the months after Kiffin signed on, including, of course, the best prospect in the country, who we weren't even recruiting before Kiffin came. Tennessee generally doesn't have to count the number of big-time prospects they pull in every offseason, we get plenty of them and should get even more with Kiff.
Not even close... He was listed in the top ten, but when you look back he was way over rated compared to McFadden ect...
And what dream are you living in Reservordog? Are you really saying that crompton is the best QB we have had in years? Did I just see you post that or am I just dreaming?
I am excited to have Brown coming to UT. As Bowden used to say "Recruiting well does not guarantee success, but recruiting poorly guarantees failure". I know it's tough to lose out on Brown, UT has had it's misses as well and it is not a good feeling. There will be other chances down the road.
It's funny, everybody in the country wanted this guy, and he ended up going to 5-7 Tennessee with the brand new head coach after only being seriously recruited for a few weeks before signing day. They suck now, it's hard to debate that right now, but it's hard to imagine staying in the gutters for more than a year or two when they can get someone like this simply because he was available. The talent is going to be there and they've put together a fantastic coaching staff (in theory, of course)

Tennessee puts plenty of everything into the NFL, quarterbacks, tailbacks, linemen, linebackers, defensive backs, there's no position that pro potential can't develop.
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
jamal and travis is the only good running backs, peyton manning anyone else at quarterback is irrelevant, linebackers none can come to mind, d-line UT has put numerous hall of famers and for DB's can't say i know many but one that points out is eric berry and he isn't even eligible for the draft
tddraper52 2 years ago
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
i forgot about Al wilson and jerod mayo i will give you, miami put out more pro bowlers in this decade ed. james, willis mcgahee, frank gore, clinton portis. you lucky we talking about running backs i will school you with all positions from miami, and miami produces starting caliber players at every position except quarterback. u will lose this debate stop now for i put out every position
tddraper52 2 years ago
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
and where is travis henry and i am only given you jamal cause he was a Raven and im a raven fan i will not down talk any raven
tddraper52 2 years ago
Remember when the Bills thought that Willis McGahee was better than Henry, so they dropped Henry? Then the supposedly uber-talented McGahee responded with two mediocre years before they decided that he wasn't worth the investment and traded him to Baltimore?
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
oh remember when willis mcgahee left and went to the pro bowl after he left buffalo and he is a dominate running back in the league now since he left buffalo oh damn i think he the man in baltimore sorry sucka u have lost this debate
tddraper52 2 years ago
Remember when Mcgahee lost his starting job twice in his career because he was too big a pussy to handle the load? He lost his job to a fucking fullback that had never played tailback before last year. He reached a level of pathetic failure few running backs ever reach, truly an accomplishment.
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
Losing your job to a fullback that never played tailback in college or the pros before that season. It takes a special kind of awful to force another player to change positions just so they can take your spot on the depth chart.
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
see now your mad you just mad cause you root for a scrub team havent been to or even had a decent sniff towards a national championship and as far as i can tell you still haven't named any players besides jamal, peyton, white. who are pro bowl caliber and i gave you one and thats eric berry your team sucks. you know your trash when you bring all-time stats and trophies you trash, you squad trash, and i can counter react any player who is better from miami so you have lost and kiss my feet
tddraper52 2 years ago
A Miami fan telling someone else how far they have fallen? shit you can't even compete in the ACC, which is truly stunning. And comparing all-time players, compare any quarterback in Miami history to Manning. We put the best defensive linemen in NFL history into the league, and the best defensive lineman (and arguably defensive player) in the league currently is also from UT, which makes it even more amazing considering Manning won his third MVP last year. We have all-stars, and we're better now
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
And comparing current players, Berry is infinitely better than anyone on your entire team, offense or defense, and we're generally as good or better than Miami at every position. Keep in mind, last year ended as a transition year, Miami has been bad for years and should remain bad. As far as the future of the programs, we already took Bryce Brown from you, and we could easily take more if we actually decide to recruit your targets. UT's got Miami beat in the past, present, and future.
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
and you on some bull shit eric berry aint better than sean taylor or ed reed so u lost safety. nobody better than warren sapp so u lost at dt. nobody better than ray lewis, dj williams, johnathan vilma, jon beason, sean speance, and authur brown, so u lost at linebacker, no one better than andre johnson, santana moss, reggie wayne so u lost at wr. only person u got from fucking tennessee is peyton manning and reggie white. u have de and qb. cant see me in running backs or oline i have schooled u
tddraper52 2 years ago
In your anger, you've apparently lost reading comprehension. I said Berry was better than anyone on Miami right now, which is true. Same with the rest of the positions, we're better right now and we will be better for a long time.
No one is better than Tennessee at defensive linemen, and we put out some great linebackers, including Jerod Mayo, who's going to be the best middle linebacker in the league within three years and is already better than Vilma or Beason ever were in the pros.
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
see i was going to root for tennessee this year because of eric berry i liked him since high school but right now bout to shut you down. right now u have no linebackers better than sean spencer. have no corners better than brandon harris. aldarius johnson is better wr. these are some of the players who are gonna be superstars and u know im right they were all freshmen and now most been on the northwestern national champ team so if it aint this season next season as juniors they are a problem.
tddraper52 2 years ago
Rico McCoy will be better within Monte Kiffen's system, we can find cover-2 corners that will be more than effective enough for the scheme, and aldarius johnson didn't do anything special last year. Like many Miami recruits, he's got the talent and they make a lot of noise about him and he doesn't get his shit together within four years. And no, it won't be alright for Miami, they've sucked for more than four years with great recruiting. The supposed superstar talent is drying up with the team
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
hold up bitch. i am not a miami fan. In college i root for players not teams i pick a new college team to root for every year and u shut your mouth with that reggie white is the greatest defensive player in NFL history you just a college boy who watch espn and decides that whatever mel kiper say u gonna roll wit. aint no reggie fucking white better than some damn lawrence taylor or sam huff. and peyton manning is great but damn everyone knows they pick tom brady.
tddraper52 2 years ago
So basically you're saying that you're a bandwagon bitch that roots for any team with a player you like. Why are you still a Miami fan, then? Did they even get anyone drafted last year?
Reggie White is at least the best defensive linemen in NFL history, possibly the greatest ever considering he played his assignments when LT rushed the passer whether he was supposed to rush or drop back.
Sam Huff? He was great, but best ever? Definitely not the best linebacker ever.
3 MVPs is a lot
ReservoirdogEC 2 years ago
actually how am i a bandwagon if i watch the recruits since they was in high school. i was wit miami because kenny phillips sophmore year in high school. and u playing favoritism you know reggie white is not the greatest defensive player of all time. and you dont know football if you think sam huff isn't the greatest of all time. ray lewis is my idol and he not better than sam huff and if it's not sam huff it is lawerence taylor . he can never be imitated
tddraper52 2 years ago
You seem to be imitating LT's drug habit at the moment with the rapidly declining ability to speak in coherent sentences. Huff is not widely regarded as the best ever, some thing he is, just like some think LT is, or Lott, or White, many believe Jack Ham also belongs in the conversation because of his willingness and ability, unlike LT, to cover and play his assignments.
Ray Lewis is your idol? I live in Atlanta, we sure remember Ray Lewis.

Being gay, and winning football games..
The first they are the best at. They are pretty good at winning football games as well.

When you start talking about a freaking bad a football player and his heart I start to wonder.. Hmmmm.
There might be a reason he wants to get away from Kansas.. I think you fellas get too much air if you know what I mean.
rcfreak7777 3 years ago
as far as facilities go:
Football is a MONSTROUS source of income for UT, and facilities are constantly being upgraded and built. they're funded by a very passionate and wide-scale fan base.
Oregon is funded by a LOADED booster in Nike. their money comes from a company.
neither school had an advantage over the other in this category in recruiting. but I give UT an advantage in stability. IMO, that kind of fan base is much less likely to disapear than a corporation.
RondoGuitarDude 3 years ago 3
Bryce Brown chose UT over Oregon because he will be prepped for the NFL much better there. here's why:
1) tougher competition. the SEC has more championships, better records vs. other BCS teams, and produces more NFL players.
2) better scheme. the spread seldomly produces NFL players and isn't ideal for Brown's downhill style.
3) better coaching staff. UT has multiple coaches with college AND NFL experience, 3 on offense.
not dissing Oregon or the Pac-10 either.
RondoGuitarDude 3 years ago
It should also be noted that Brown has openly talked about wanting to go to Oregon and seriously considered going there for awhile, but chose Tennessee based on a visit he took after signing day. If the facilities at Oregon are so damn amazing, clearly they were lacking in other areas if Brown couldn't pick Oregon over any other team he had visited before signing day. On the other hand, he visited Tennessee and was signed up within weeks.

I gave the world the Brown Brothers.

all i have to say is someone from the sec will win it again this year could be anyone from sec cause we are all head and shoulders above any other conference in the nation and sec will be 4 time defending national champs and the end of the year wait and see

LOL! The Ducks..
Who would want to call themselves a DUCK. How crappy would that be.
OLD MAN "So who do you play for son?"
Player says: Oh, I play for the Ducks sir.
OLD MAN "The Ducks? LOL.. I am not talking about a hockey movie that came out 15 years ago. I mean what football team do you play for?"
Player says: The Ducks Sir. Thats what they call us.
OLD MAN: Hmmm Who in the Hell would call a football team the ducks. They should have gone with little rascals.

obviously you know nothing about the athletic venues in knoxville when lane kiffin got here he said he was in awe cause he had never saw facilities like the university of tennessee has and that is coming from a west coast guy so......
fisher1487 3 years ago
I know thats what came to my mind. LOL. I dont think people in the West Coast realize how much better college football is in the south.
Clearly Duck boy is just a fan that is sticking up for his team.

almirUT 3 years ago
damn tennessee has got them one hell of a running back
ZipperZapper14 3 years ago
They're definitely not going to win next year or in the near future. Tennessee obviously isn't there yet, either, but they pulled in prospects Oregon can only dream of despite dropping the head coach with two weeks to go in the regular season, to go along with previously underdeveloped talent from Fulmer's last few years. UT's not going to have to wait for Urban Meyer to go to ND before they can compete in the SEC, while Oregon will be stuck behind USC as long as Carroll is there.
ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
Considering USC is rebuilding with a new QB and rather inconsistant RB's and a new Defense, Oregon could win the Pac 10 this year since they've got USC @ Autzen.
Oregon got Jonathan Stewart when he was the # 1 prospect in HS. We weren't "Dreaming".
Duckman2052 3 years ago
Unless you're expecting USC to completely shit themselves simply for having to reload on offense, Oregon didn't play them well enough last year to reasonably expect to suddenly topple the giant this year.
He was the best prospect you had gotten in years, and by far the best prospect to come since 2005. And that being said, he was the top tailback prospect in his class, not the best overall prospect. Great recruiters get more than one blue-chip prospect every four years.
ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
USC has to replace 8 on D and Sanchez.
Oregon also got them in Eugene where they last beat them in 07.
All either 4 * or 5* from scout.
2002 - Ngata
2003 - Dixon
2004 - Colvin
2005- Stewart
2007- Prichett
2008- Blount
Plus Oregon devolops low * players out of HS into All Conference players.
Duckman2052 3 years ago
Oregon beat them with their backup quarterback versus your best quarterback in years.
All either 4 or 5 star? Tennessee pulled in that many big-name prospects in the months after Kiffin signed on, including, of course, the best prospect in the country, who we weren't even recruiting before Kiffin came. Tennessee generally doesn't have to count the number of big-time prospects they pull in every offseason, we get plenty of them and should get even more with Kiff.
ReservoirdogEC 3 years ago
dream on kid, jonathan stewart was not the #1 player out of high school.
volnut10 3 years ago
Not even close... He was listed in the top ten, but when you look back he was way over rated compared to McFadden ect...
And what dream are you living in Reservordog? Are you really saying that crompton is the best QB we have had in years? Did I just see you post that or am I just dreaming?
rcfreak7777 3 years ago
Can someone decipher that last message for me?
I don't speak moron.
Duckman2052 3 years ago
I am excited to have Brown coming to UT. As Bowden used to say "Recruiting well does not guarantee success, but recruiting poorly guarantees failure". I know it's tough to lose out on Brown, UT has had it's misses as well and it is not a good feeling. There will be other chances down the road.
volstar88 3 years ago
It's funny, everybody in the country wanted this guy, and he ended up going to 5-7 Tennessee with the brand new head coach after only being seriously recruited for a few weeks before signing day. They suck now, it's hard to debate that right now, but it's hard to imagine staying in the gutters for more than a year or two when they can get someone like this simply because he was available. The talent is going to be there and they've put together a fantastic coaching staff (in theory, of course)
