  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • some really good stuff here

  • brilliant video

  • Great stuff. In the November issue of Symmetry magazine some guy working at the LHC proposed to a girl by leaving the ring inside one of the detector and asked his boss, essentially, to call this girl and say "We found a crystalline deposit in one of the detectors".

She drove up and climbed up there and saw the ring, which then he grabbed it and proposed to her.

Pretty damn cool way to propose to a girl.

(I'm pretty sure it wasn't alpinekat, of course, to be clear.)

  • This is the most retarded shit I've ever heard. Did you think of this rap while you were taking a shit? It's a shame your IQ dropped with your load.

  • do you work at cern?

  • Lovin the Nerd Rap!... But the dancing could use some work.. Lol

  • epic lool

  • EPIC RAP BATTLES OF HISTORY: Alpinekat vs some creationist

  • @MEsfahani im sure its more to see than what you have! Go shove that up your microscopic black hole!

  • @MEsfahani Awww..poor baby.

Did all those big words confuse you?

  • Me like, a lot ;)) Why I did choose a computer engineer/project manager career instead of real science?

  • this is great! :D

  • bullshit

  • 3:38 people eating lunch are like wth?

  • The picture of Stephen W. Hawking looks like an old portrayal..:D

  • I wish I was a nerd.

  • @DrMabuse2006 I am haha.

  • Please make subtitles like the lareg hadron rap

  • Here's what I say: "Send a carbon vessel with choice DNA from our planet through a black hole along with a beacon & coordinates in binary"... what would happen if the LHC were to be introduced with a gambit of ionized radiation particles into the loop at penultimate/max speed increment? I'm no scientist but it just ran through my mind. Maybe it's the way it's done, Idk. Subbed + added ^_^

  • @yy0229

  • badly need to be your boyfriend - really! lol

  • "And so we'll descend , to the pressing gravity".... I LOVE WHEN KATE DANCES TO THAT PART!!!!

  • Jesus christ, you are an asshole

  • @yy0229

If you know someone who works on-site you can wander around with them like a nosy devil. I've been shown around a couple of times. Had my photo taken next to the plaque marking the invention of the internet!

  • Dude, that's what scientists looks like these days.

  • 0:11 someone devided by zero

  • Post nude pics on /b/

  • 4:18 too

  • 2:50 very cute girl on the right

  • gag me!

  • one of the most coolest videos ive ever seen, good rap!

  • one of the most coolest videos ive ever seen

  • @manhunt9mexia

    I second that sentiment.

  • thank'u guys. You are so better. Thank'u because learn all people physics. bye T.K.

  • Hawking rapping FTW :D

They are right, some of the particles colliding in upper atmosphere could achieve energies like 70J, which is 4,36x10^20 eV

LHC achieve much lower energy like 1,4x10^13 eV

  • Physics FTW!

  • Clearly, 5 people were hoping to see the planet ingested by a black hole.

  • i love u guys

  • scientists pwn

  • Our Galaxy, Our Universe, Should Be Teeming With Civilizations, But Where Are They?

Guess They Were Dumb Enough To Build Also A Large Hadron Collider!

Just Jocking, I Don't Believe That, Sleep Well.

  • please increase the volume of the voice track in your next cut, a bit hard to hear ya. ;)

  • This is fantastic! I give you guys quantum props (don't look, they could disappear).

It is kind of interesting that at the scenes like 1:25 , you represented Earth's surface as two-dimensional, and the cosmic rays as three-dimensional. Reminiscent of M-theory and Braneworld scenarios! Exercise caution; those are still theoretical. B)

    Cheers!

  • I want to be a Scientist.

  • @MysteryNomad Me too!

  • @MysteryNomad Particles Physics FTW!

  • I love u alpinekat! ♥_♥

    Nice rap

  • Wow, great rapping and great video, I support!

  • you guys are my new hero's !

  • win

  • Is it just me, or do the people of CERN get a little bored sometimes xD

    I like the video though.

  • . Yeh . Can I get that same hook up . I really like your video . The first 1 explained a lot "Large Hadron Rap". =[

but it's not in HD. THANKSS !!

  • .. Can you show a clearer video of Large Hadron Rap / because the pictures when I watch is not HD in my TV . Thanks.

  • hahahaha i love youre vids :D keep it real

  • Oh ,ok I get it.

Electrons coming off of the sun have been hitting our atmosphere at higher speeds than the LHC can even generate.

Safe science is fun, but risky science is more exciting.

  • nice :DD

  • Stephen was funny :P

  • You guys rock. This is so good on so many levels.

  • AlpineKat, keep up good work! WARP FACTOR 1, Mrs. Kat! H-

  • EPIC! YOU GUYS ROCK

  • I love you people.

  • haha, pimped out protons :)

  • what is the red thing at 1:11?

  • yay, assure the idiots the world will not end any time soon

  • 4:16 ...hawt and thiese videos inspired me to start reading Hawking's "The histoty of time"

  • You're still crazy, i love that song :D

  • Thanks. I'm glad you're still producing music.

  • @CutEnergyRightNow Can you do any better?

In order for education to hit home, it needs to appeal to students and this is one of the many ways that makes complex scientific principles sound fun and yet is very informational.

I personally want to write an Algebra/Trig/Calculus book that will appeal to anyone, and yet be written in easy to understand language. Plus include applications in the real world and what teenagers can relate to.

  • stfu.

  • @CutEnergyRightNow you fail

  • Another awesome vid alpinekat!

  • Comment removed

  • insta repeat :)

much improved since the LHC rap :)

    Really great work

  • What great timing, I'm visiting CERN on wednesday :)

  • god i want to work at CERN

  • Like this very much, indeed all your stuff - great for nntertainment and education !

  • Love it!

  • only one correction: cosmic rays have been penetrating the earth for all of 5,000 years.

just kidding, I'm just a high schooler, so hear this described in a way that makes sense and is accesible

  • This could use some subtitles!

  • I second jaackofscience's comment - the CERN rap was made really, really understandable and enjoyable from start to finish due to the subtitles.

I already know a fair bit about the subject and I found it difficult to make out some of the lyrics (until second time around).

  • Great job to you all. Glad to see your perseverance pay off. :-D

  • fantastic video, great song, thorough information

    future physicist here :P
