  • You should read Emil Cioran.

  • Well done. "Honesty...is not an action of finding but an action of allowing and letting go." I agree. It seems more and more that the task is not to decipher the esotericism of philosophers past, but to develop an understanding in our own time for these questions.

  • Great video. I liked what you said about what is experienced is truth concealing itself. It makes me think of how everyone has their own point of view in life, but no-one can really get outside themselves and see what is actually happening. Thanks for the comment on my video. :)

  • Spencer Every person is so much more than their mind and senses. The end of philosophy is to realize that you are so much more. In order to become that larger being means that you have to give up your idea of who you are. All that the mind can do is point to that greater being that already exists. To go towards that image that you now see is to leave the mind behind.

  • Hey there Spencer. Great to see you again. About what you say, when you say that experience is truth disguising it's self. You might be interested in reading the Buddhist Diamond Sutra, I do not mean to impose religion on you, just imposing philosophy :P.

  • great video..the distractions around you, in such a peacful setting, alomost depict the point you were trying to make.

  • I would think that there is more than 1 end to philosophy, and that it would depend entirely on what is being asked.

  • I've always been more of a pragmatist myself, this stuff seems to throw me for loops, examining the way we examine ourselves, etc, etc. Not a bad thing to be aware, but so easy to get lost in our own thoughts. Looks chilly there. Stay warm, man.

  • It's good to hear a heart that strives for the truth. I hope your open heart and mind serves you well.

With gratitude and love, thank you.

  • Philosophy = love of wisdom φιλοσοφία (philosophía), a compound of φίλος (phílos: friend, or lover) and σοφία (sophía: wisdom)

  • 'return to youtube' has been on my todo list for too long. will talk to you soon, bro.

  • Hehe, I always find you mind wandering relaxing to listen to. You have a nice calm about you in your vlogs. I hope you will start making more videos.

  • such beauty surrounds you...breathtaking!

i try to surrender thinking too much and experience a more constant state of gratitude for what wonders of life exist in and around me. there's so much complex beauty to life that i have to just surrender in awe to it's splendor...it's such a subtle dance.

  • the return of Little WOnders : ))

LOVE this...life is giving it's own video presentation along with you...GOLD

at 5:38 here comes EDUCATION in the background

and at 11:40 it's interpretation of intellectual roots -- "these twists and turns of FATE."

  • Glad to see you on Youtube again. Good video =)

  • Good to see ya Spencer, I can imagine it was hard trying to make a blog with all those distractions ; )

  • I think control is the issue... when you make a video you have a point, you have a method. The structure of our language and expression sometimes mottles the message. You could try to express and free flow and not have a goal in mind when you make videos, I think that will help.

  • glad you're back. I enjoyed your vid. I'll check out Heidegger, keep running in to him every now and then.
