@Dominick629 It's a bit more complicated, there was a large Polish population at some areas that border the sea, but I think the western allies made Danzig that way they are. All the Polish wanted is to regain Polish independence since the Germans failed to keep their promise, and they didn't take that big of a part in the Treaty of Versailles. But Poland din't care much about their German-Polish borders since they were in a war with Ukraine and the Soviets.

Poles really wanted to conquer Ukraine for Petlura, but Poles demanded borders of 1772 - most of Ukraine. Petlura could receive only Kiev and east of Dnepr(without Crimea and Kharkov) - not too much.
Then, after polish-soviet war finished, Ukraine received an authonomy in USSR. Western Ukraine in Poland - never.
