From everything I've read, you're really not supposed to use anything higher than B5 in the latest VW common rail engines.

@DrivinWest It burns HRD (hydrotreated renewable diesel). The oil is heated, broken down, hydrogenated and passed through a catalyst. The final product is identical to its petroleum counterpart.
