I have the top-of-the-line version since a couple of months now, and I have to say I am impressed with it. Like said in video, performance is really good, I keep up with my buddy who has a Audi Q7 3.2 ltr, the car gets a little thirsty though if you have a heavy foot. It has lots of nice little features in it that I discovered after driving for a while.

Minus points:

-GPS system could have easier to operate.

- i think that passenger seat has no light next to sunscreen mirror.

RAV4 has ABS, ESP, TC, HDC,HSA, EBD, BA AND A V6 3.5 LITRE which gives an economy of 10.5 l/100km which is exactly the same as this puny VW 2.0 litre but the RAV 4 generates 269 hp and a towing capacity of a real truck. Except for park assist RAV4 takes the cake

I like this car alot, they did an excellent job designing it. However, i would stick to my CX-7 whose turbo engine delivers 244 hp. The Mazda is several thousands less in comparable trim levels.

@CARSBYJG for $599 you can get an ECU flash from GIAC, REVO, APR or Unitronic which will put the Tiguan at around 260hp 300lb ft. Same engine as GTI means you get same engine upgrades, the ECU flash being the cheapest and most significant hp increase.

This is the compromise vehicle. It is probably the vehicle you will end up with if you have a family or a wife. The man usually wants the GTI (low slung, aggressive cornering road car). The female (usually) wants the illusion of "safety" from an SUV. Thusly, the chick SUV known as TIGUAN.  The man gets his GTI engine, the woman gets the family SUV thing. Get this over the Toureg!! My brother made a stupid decision and had a Toureg.. which is one of VW's worst vehicles. Get TIGUAN instead.

It's okay, my Scooby will still lick the arse of Tiguan and most other vehicles. It's an Impreza 2.5L turbo charged engine that has been modified and chipped. O- 60 in 4.4 secs.

Just for the benefit our YouTubers curiosity, If you pls upload a photo of the Tiguan's Vin Number printed on a sticker or metal plate located in the engine compartment it will say Made in Wolfsberg Germany or Made in Germany Made in China etc .. it should clearly indicates that info. @chinggop Looked at an Outlander today, the interior isn't nearly as nice even in top trim. The vw often gets a bad rep on value, but compare it to an rdx - another 4 cylinder turbo crossover, again with cheaper interior and a higher price. Both are still bargains if you see them as viable alternatives to the X3 or Q5.
