For all you morons who think that they should be going quicker PUBLIC roads, just remember they aren't their own cars, the conditions are greasy/damp, there are hundred metre drop-offs next to some of the roads and you cannot turn the Nissan's traction control off on public roads without voiding the warranty. Come on- use some sense here. They were just trying to prove a point with these two cars. We all know the GTR is quicker on a TRACK.

This is crap. I know how GTR drives on such roads and it's here that the advantage over the FORD would be even greater. The lead driver is either incompetent or plays dumb. It becomes challenging to keep you head straight in the GTR due to the lateral G force after a while. The way this guys drives it here, I could leave him behind with a Hyundai on that road!

I think this is a great video personally and know where they are coming from. The GT-R is an amazing car and is in a league of its own, especially given its value for money, as is the RS focus.But on normal country roads, even me in my diesel mapped mondeo st, can fight my own and keep with hot hatches like the civic type r and vxr astr, even imprazas. Thats not a boast but they can only get so much grip and can only accelerate so hard before having to slam on the brakes. I know from my cbr600!

@petayV8 I don't particularly like the idea of FWD either it's not great, but I think some people need to realise it has it's advantages (space, grip etc) And with a decent suspension which the focus has got, it really is still fun, and the rear susspension in that focus gives you some nice slides, ive driven a focus RS, it's 10 times better than I imagined.

I know how much grip the RS has despite the 300+bhp and being fwd. But AWD/4WD will have a superior grip. Thats a fact. In real world gtr might not have a huge advantage due to speed limits and other drivers. But it should give you more confidence than a FWD.

Driven a GTR, and must say although I've never been in an RS, I've been in plenty of the hot hatch establishment. The GTR is too effortless, less involving, and in real world circumstances unuseable. If the GTR and RS were both having the same amount of fun and got caught my plod, mr RS would probally get slap on the wrist/ 3 points (but no prizes) the GTR would be fighting off a prison sentance/ court action....

Will need to be going too fast to have fun in the GTR tbh.....
