  • my good here tits are awesome

  • You guys are soo ignorant this is amazing unique great things here, i guess saying they need to grow up is mainly jealousy because you can't do it, no one needs to grow up and never take life seriously stay young when ever you can, and people use to dress like this then so why can't we now???? because the modern world grew ignorant to such great imaginations

  • its in the heart... *slaps boob*...

    jeez that woman is annoying

  • She's chewing on her syllables or something? That accent is fucking weird.

  • Dayum Justin Bieber sucker steals this

  • Wow her voice is annoying. Just saying

  • Holy tits batman

  • Actually, Ladies and Gentlemen, the last woman has a very... odd cockeny accent. But you have to give her some credit, she was one of the very few people with an "accent" at this convention. :3

  • Neo-Victorian rubbish for stupid adults. Grow up you daft wankers.

  • @MissEgasMoniz if someone like myself has a intrest in this then leave them alone.

i love steampunk, starting to make my own gadgets and such is fun. it is a good intrest and hobby.

  • sounds like a victorian hipster

  • 2:30

    nope.avi pce

  • can someone write a letter to that woman to stop talking or the brittish will invade again just to shoot her

  • Heh...heh...Slutsky.

  • uuuhhh irena SLUTSKY???

  • The "Ask Me" guy sounded very eloquent.

  • she went to the dick van dyke school of trying but failing to speak with an english accent.

  • I never knew about queeeen victowiaovinglen^^

  • 2:30 KILL IT WITH FIRE!!! how dare you do what you have done to my accent!!!

  • @samholdsworth oh sweet jesus!!!! WHY WOULD SHE DO THAT!!!!!! I'm slightly ashamed to be English :(

  • someone shoot the lady until she stops the accent. i love steampunk im practicley deadicated to it but that is just horrible. costume is good though,

  • I love Steampunk some of the aesthetics I've actually incorporated in my Post-Apocalyptic Graver style. :)

  • Why are people complaining of her accent. England has different accents of English throughout the country, does Ozzy Osbourne and Gordon Ramsey have the same accent? No, so stop whining. It's like complaining on the US southern accent or any other accent within the USA. I understand her completely.

This is coming from an American.

  • 0:06 freddiew ?

  • just to clarify, not everyone in england talks like a cockney strumpet

  • That woman with the horrible British accent looks like she should've been taking swigs from a bottle of Gin between sentences.

  • Wow

  • Louis XIV wasn't Victorian.

  • How is steam the fuel, u need something to heat the water up to make steam. The thing that makes the steam hot is the fuel and the steam and water are like part that allow the machine to move

  • steams not an energy... its a feul!

  • @GreenPlatypusBaby

    I spelled that wrong!

    fuel*

  • @GreenPlatypusBaby Steam is an energy delivery method.

  • @KenMacMillan

    thanks for the correction!

    *SCIENCE POWER! :D*

  • Do what feels right!! its nothing scenester about it. if anything its more of nerds being crafty and awesome with it. I love the look of steampunk clothes but mostly the gadgets and props they make. Even the steampunk guitars look kick ass

  • HAH! Its like someone's giving you a hug all day long. I love it!!! XD

  • Seriously pisses me off when people do that English accent....there is noone over here that talks ANYTHING like that :(

  • @TheChesneyChrist I believe that's called a cockney accent? Probably spoke somewhere else or it's an accent from a different era. Of course, I'm not British, but I've heard it before from actual 'british' people. Not very often though. .

  • @WoolWithaCamra well you can take it from me that that ain't cockney!! Think Guy Ritchie films eg Turkish and Bricktop, That accent that he's speaking there is your typical "I'm american attempting the English accent and failing miserably" lol we don't all have eloqution lessons or speak that high pitched either same as all Americans don't speak with a Texan Accent. Plus it's English not British we're all seperate countries that don't really like being lumbered in with each other lol

  • @TheChesneyChrist Agreed. A lot of this stuff is just scenester garbage. I think Jake von Slatt and Professor Greyshade are very interesting...but to me the costuming is just useless wannabeism, for the most part. I've started seeing Steampunk as being a lot more about an underlying philosophy, rather than just unsuccessfully trying to look cool. The fluffy scenesters apparently don't like that at all.

  • I love the idea of it, but the woman she was interviewing, her voice just got on me nerves, lol

  • wow always wondered what steam punk means thank u very cool also the bans abney park.

  • OMFG that corset man is FUCKING HAWT!!!

  • So this is steampunk? This is a real freedom of expression.

  • Their is nothing wrong of what you believe. Is you like the clothing style, go for it who cares of what people believe.

  • @royaladam I know. Damn! I`m fascinated with this right now!

  • is that an ultor logo from sr2 on his top hat?

  • oh my god the woman interviewing is so annoying

  • the Kevin Costner film Waterworld is steampunk. so is Thunderdome. go watch those. mad max is as well but not as much as the first two.

  • this interesting, the only reason i'm watching this because i played the game bioshock and loved the society, art, and style the game depicted; it's a lot like this.

  • The first guy was really insightful and cool, but I had to skip the last woman 'cause she was sooooooooooooooooooo annoying >_>

  • how in the fuck did haters find this. i mean ive liked steampunk almost my entire life and i never knew it had a name until today and im talking that my first contacts to it were atlantis and firefly like a million years ago.

  • I don't know who made this video, but I LOVE IT. I'm so showing this to my class. Thanks for uploading!

  • Sorry for misttake but what is it called where like fallout and bioshock were everyone's happy and it's a perfect 50's community please help like movies such AS pleasentville and ALL of ttwilight zone

  • @theempboy The Fallout Series is Made In A Post-Apocalyptic world. Bioshock is made in a Era of The 40's and the 1950's Where A group or a cult Created the City Rapture where everyone Lived happily. Until,The People got upsessed With Using Drugs, Or "Adam" Which gave them special powers.

  • @lSmittyl You just explained everything thanks

  • I.LOVE. STEAMPUNK. gah. it's so cool.

  • that is one bad london accent

  • Jesus Christ that was the worst fake Cockney accent I've ever heard. Please shut the fuck up! Thanks.

  • they dressed like that to go to the supermarket?

  • i will say, the whole dressing up shit is a bit strange, but its just not my cup of tea i guess. i will say the literature is awesome.

  • "So tell us what you do"

    "WELL I'M SOFIA ST. CLAIR....."

    OMG SHUT UP

  • I liked the steampunk guy but the steampunk lady was soooo annoying. D; Her voice frightened me so much I couldn't watch it. The guys were awesome though. :D

  • Funny. The obvious British young Lady is sending her letters in a German Zeppelin?

    I love steampunk!

  • Tell me she's not that stupid sounding. :p

    Steampunk is friggin great!

  • 3:33 EPIC boob smakin'

  • Argh, What the hell is steampunk?! this video still doesn't let me understand!!

  • @TheSpetznazi do some research on google

  • @CupcakeAndTea CupcakeAndTea i'm a fan of you :3

  • im writin a steampunk story so i just game for some research but this is lookin pretty interestin

  • @Bar10w101 just a small tip, not at all to be taken as some kind of snarky remark: most of the authors who are considered great steampunk writers don't actually set out to write steampunk stories, they just write. in fact, the best of them don't associate with the genre at all, in order to avoid what happens to most sci-fi/fantasy writers. They end up writing pure shit because they end up pandering to a deluded audience that only wants trash and drivel.

  • lol i love how that one chick had a super english accent xD

  • that interviewer is annoying X(X(X(

  • Interesting, I've been looking to this subculture for a week. I never heard of them before until I was watching these goths and cyber goths videos and ended up watching steampunkers; therefore, are steampunkers in any way associated with goths. I mean, do they have a common root or are these subcultures related?

  • @alexmejia26 Well if by related to goth you mean Gothic architecture of the Victorian era, then yes.

  • It was all good until that lady with the ridiculously put on cockney accent started speaking :(

  • the lady with the accent sounds like ron wiesleys mum!

  • OH GOD, THE ACCENT, KILL IT! KILL IT DEAD!

  • @TheSuperguy24 even the fucking english dont talk like that!!!!! im scottish and the english accent drives us all bonkers but that is 40 times worse than an english accent

  • @TheSuperguy24 i've lived in england my whole life, and i've never heard anyone talk like that

  • @Dougthegoat ...thats cause she's a bloody cockney... -,-

  • @TheMadScotsman18 like no cockeny i ever bloody heard, sounds like Dick van Dykes cockney impression after a large dose of Crack :)

  • "I see that your wear these things (touches goggles), and a hat...and this lovely gentleman here is wearing a corset - I did NOT expect that.

  • Fat lady ruined it for me :(

  • intresting :P lol

  • That guy looks better in a corset than me.

  • 2:26 aaah my ears !!

  • I love how original all the costumes are. Every costume has its own story.

  • This is fucking stupid leave it to a bunch of fucking nerds to ruin something that used to be cool.. they already did it with anime goth punk pirates ninjas and now this.. do us all a favor and stop fucking shit up guys.. thanks.

  • @pieordie12 EAT DICK BITCH

  • @thegreenghost1000 HAHAHAHAH obviously your one of those people that enjoys child porn so i would ask you to please not contact me again.

  • @pieordie12 and i see your one of those assholes who want to ruin everyones day with your comment

  • @pieordie12 what did they do bad? i see nothing wron with it there just having fun. and i think anime is still very good

  • I've never heard anyone explain the steampunk culture better than this guy! Someone give him a medal!

  • this looks awesome is this like a festival or something if so where is it?

  • The women at the end is awesome!

  • I find myself conflicted with this topic. On one hand i love surf music which isn't a type of music but rather a genre within rock music which is what steampunk is. On the other hand i find this concept to be as stupid as wizard rock or alt metal christian rap. I'll just end by saying that a good song is a good song no matter what genre or type it's filed under.

  • @TheBalloonHoax I don't think Steampunk really started as a musical genre per se.

  • @jjobie Yeah it took me a while to realize that it's more a fashion than a type of music. I hear the word punk i think music but actually it really is a kind of fashion as well.

  • I actually know someone with the last name Slutsky.

    Only he pronounces it SLUT-SKIE

    As everyone should....

  • that "ask me" guy is most normal person there

  • i like it how the guys just wearing a corset and, you know, its totally normal :)

  • This is a fun video to watch. Thank you! :)

  • @JimiMoriDesu Best line ever :)

  • what is with all the nodding? The steampunk peeps are great, butman that reporter..

  • corsets may have been worn by men in the past, but so was asbestos. that wouldnt make you look any less stupid.

  • that's a boob, not a heart

  • 0_0 what has been seen cannot be unseen

  • @02phill

    true :p

and i'm guessing its about that fat btch

  • that reporter must have been freaked out by the last lady lol

  • @rowan729

    who isn't

  • hahaha slutsky her name is SLUTsky haha oh thats funny what a bitch XD

  • This reporter is a real jerk, shes the least geeky thing out there

  • Oh my gosh. No one in England talks like that!! Jesus Christ that's an offensive impersonation.

  • @nessasONLINEshow actually some did back in time. today it's more an americanised version. For one I taught myself to speak with the same sort of Victorian age british accent, but not as over the top as she does :p

  • Lmao the girl she talks to is jks

  • Get rid of that reporter! Man, she is annoying!

  • Honestly guys if you don't like the culture or the idea of Steampunk then don't put comments down about it. Some people watch these videos to learn more about it, especially if they're interested in it.

Don't judge something until you've actually tried it, that's all I'm gonna say.

  • @Salanda1

Got nothing against steampunk as an idea, but don't you think ppl like that st.clair something completly ruin it?

  • @ras464 Why should it? Whys hould anybody ruin it for you? It's not like they are jumping at you or something.o.o Just ignore them and continue your happy way down the steel and steam path. ^^

  • @Salanda1

There are people that don't like steampunk?? how is that even possible

  • @Salanda1 thanks, ive loved steam ever since i was 6, I where a top hat, with glasses...this culture makes me feel inteligant, and creative.....

  • well on the upside they're not doing goth anymore.....

  • Slutsky, OMG WHAT A LASTNAME! :D

  • Steam is a very ethereal energy. What the fuck.

  • this totally reminds me of the airborn books..........

  • If the interviewer took a little vocal training, she could improve her voice significantly. I suggest the works of Patsy Rodenburg. Otherwise she does a fine job.

  • ... Annoying Reporter is Annoying.

  • @PoisonRoze1991

obvious comment is obvious (but thanks anyway :) )

  • :D :D haha

the woman with the letters is great xD ^^

  • ze goggles zey do nothing!

No wait thats a lie they make things Steam Punk.

  • @dudealan2001

    That's what she said (literally)

  • "I'm pretending to be myself, actually." lol, I know how he feels;-) That always how I feel when someone asks "So what are you dressed as...exactly?" What I find most amusing is that dressing as a tenth century norsewoman often inspires no comment at all....

  • oh myyyyy that "ask" guy is so hot

  • Annoying reporter who's not able to interview the right people. With exception of first person.

    Guy in a corset? Now I've seen everything. n_n;

  • @dragonnetstorm hmm have you seen Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" video? there are men in fishnets and heels you dumbass. "Girls can wear jeans and cut their hair short, wear shirts and boots, because it's OK to be a boy, but for a boy to look like a girl is degrading, because you think that being a girl is degrading." [The Cement Garden]

  • @dragonnetstorm Have you seen the video of guy, pissing, shitting a baby boy? No? You haven't seen ANYTHING!

  • What the fuck?! I dont really get it..... its cool and all but its just fucking weird.

  • Omg, that last woman was hilarious.

  • stupid fucking reporter

  • SO FUN !!!

  • 2:55 dude needs to steam punk his wheel chair.

  • "It's St. Claire Aeronautsor nuthin!"... that was cute.

I am not into this at ALL but its nice to see you folks are enjoying yourselves.

Oh -- and you shouldn't mind the children who are so obviously afforded too much UNsupervised time at the keys.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • I quite like it. Don't know if I'd ever dress the part being kinda shy, but the ideas are facinating. Everyone should rexamine their past regularly. Quasi-reinvention and re-envisioning the past like the steampunk movement does is good way to reflect on what was good, what went wrong, and what could have been.

  • This video is most popular with:

    Gender Age

    Male 45-54 (._.)

    Male 35-44

    Female 45-54

  • God I hate conventions and the people who attend them. When that lady started in with the fake ass "my fair lady" accent I wanted to vomit. These people need lives. And for such a potentially great art form, "Steampunk" is a terrible name. I've seen some really interesting steampunk art, and the whole thing is almost ruined by the fact that these douche bags named it something that sounds like an immature fashion statement for lame kids.

  • @instereovideos its like hipster culture - its ridiculous. I guess its not much different than metalhead culture - we wear vests with patches, have long hair and whatnot... but we dont pretend to be anything other than ourselves. This steampunk shit is fucking weird.

  • @LouTheMetalhead

That seems very closed-minded of you. I'm not part of the steampunk culture at all, but I think it's unfair to use such crass words to describe it when you've probably never even spoken to anyone in the culture.

  • @instereovideos The only reason for attending is maybe if they had any interesting stuff in the giftshop, otherwise all conventions are essentially the same

  • I go metaltron all the time.

  • I looked at too much steampunk - now when i see the picture of Queen Victoria, i see a laptop on her desk...

  • @Supenmanu

you gotta stop doing shrooms man

  • *shit. weired shit. sorry typo lol

  • in a nut shell, you guys are doin this weird dhit to exercise your rights? get with the times hippies. =/

  • @PixieAddams

    make it.

  • I just liked the goggles, but... wow, that accent instantly drew me in XD

  • ...Man in a corset

  • For some reason... I really want to write a letter...

  • omg that woman has theeee most annoooyinggg voiceee everrrrrrr aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • i have terrible handwriting but hey i wouldnt mind writing letters. i only figured out this was a genre today! before i used to like the idea of an alternate past like this but never knew it was called steampunk. lol i learned something and now its my new favorite genre.

  • ST. CLAIR!!

  • @got2dance4fun: Pretty cool that it's your history teacher out there and informing people about steampunk!

  • During the Victorian era, slavery was big business, and the upper class made most of the money off of it. Therefore, steampunks promote slavery.

  • @dbrowmm no they do not because they make things them selves and they do not get other people toi make it for them infact everyting they are is prettymuch almost against slavery as they do not buy things mass produced in china or any of those countries which prettymuch have the slaves of today.

  • Comment removed

  • ... i can help but feel that the interviewer is a little bit condescending

  • @BrienHyde yeah she is. what a cunt.

  • That is an awful english accent

  • This is so cool, Do they have Steampunk festivals everywhere? That guy wearing the corset, what he said is exactly what I say to people asking me about my renaissance dress...lol :)

  • The St.Clair woman is my history teacher!

  • oh my god the lady at 0:05 is my history teacher!!

  • that reporter sucks...

  • @rach3lpatrick A reporter's main job is to ask stupid questions, and having an amazing rack. She did those two things just fine!

  • oh that woman was great! wonderful character and she stayed in it so well!

  • The premise of Goth was an invite to make oneself into a work of art to be looked at.

The premise of Steampunk is to turn oneself into a walking sight gag and the best one can hope for is to be laughed with, even though most onlookers with an ounce of taste will be laughing at.

This subcuture has no future outside of sci-fi conventions.

  • @onandofflooker

I don't know. I've noticed a qrowing interest (On the internet) lately.

  • @onandofflooker I thought the point of goth was to make yourself a walking sight gag? and steam punk was to wear real Victorian clothing and not shitty hot topic clothes.

  • @trentonx

    +2 for goth part

sadly i can only thumb up once :p
