i suspected it was BS when there was no boy found in it. as soon as i heard the interview on larry king with wolf blizter, i knew it was BS.

i am pissed. i took it seriously and was afraid for the boy, then it was all a ploy for them to get rich. i hope they lock the parents up for a while and make them pay money to the rescuers. i hope the kids are raised by some sane members of their family. alright, I heard the 911 tape. They generally seemed worried, but I don't see how, there's no way that thing could lift a small boy. It's interesting that it apparently used high voltage for turning thrust. I love how the 911 operator kept saying electronical though. lol

As soon as I saw the size of the balloon I knew it was a hoax. It was way too small to even lift a child. I haven't heard the 911 tape, I'll have to look for it.

Obviously the story was convincing enough at the time because the police bought it. I don't blame the media for that.

Definitely a hoax though. The dad's reaction was that of a bad liar after the outburst. I don't know why Wolf Blitzer was so easy on them after he was sure of what he heard.
