  • how come both engines have 2 whistles?

  • @imagreatbigman They put different ones on so you can hear different ones. Gives the engines two personallities if you think of it that way.

  • im confused with 765's whistle. it almost sounds like 1225's whistle

  • @Strasburg1991 Both 1225 and 765 whistles are the same type, Nathan 5 chimes.

  • @Strasburg1991 The reason 1225's sounds lower is because it has 3 more a lot more wear then 765's. Her nathan is off of NKP 700, the original NKP berkshire. Her original whistle was destroyed two rebuilds ago. It hasn't been used as much. SP 4449 is the same. It should sound more like UP 844's but the whistle is worn, very worn. They both have Hancock whistles, but I don't remember how many chimes.

  • Was that N&W 611 at :52??

  • The 765 had a second whistle on the fireman's side. I believe it was a Reading RR type.

  • @dlcluley It is Frisco 1352's whistle.

  • @trainmandan05 that may be frisco 1352's whistle
