  • Just realised I'm so lucky to live here :P

  • in the summer yorks class ;

  • Ive lived in York all my life and like the place and wouldnt want to live anywhere else but it was such a shame when Scotts butchers closed in Low petergate in 2008, it has been there 130 years and was especially busy at Christmas, when they even had an imitation snow machine on on of the above floors. A bit of York died when it closed.

  • I'm from Scotland and my girlfriend and I are going to stay in York this weekend for the third time. Why? Because its a wonderful city with so much atmosphere and beautiful things to see. It has a unique character which makes it a special place. I love everything about this amazing city and few places anywhere in the UK can match it. So looking forward to the simple pleasure of walking those famous walls again. York does it for me. Its simply a magical place.

  • save the countryside....conservative eat your natural hearts plans...if you have a car.....talk to locals....65% is unprotected across u.k.....place art ,sculpture on sites..we saved forests, now countryside..ribbons tied to tree's to show locals own area,,not government..........

  • johne lockes idea was eden.......

  • MONTAIGNE-red indians live in eden....no language for lies,envy,falsehood,,,treason

  • I'm from Texas and I visit York about twice a year. I MUST go into the city centre each time I visit. I have been there every night of the week by now and I have never felt any kind of danger. Not once. Forget "I <3 NY", I want a T-shirt that says " I <3 Old York".

  • NEVER SEEN A SQUIRRELL? i DON'T BELIEVE THAT.

  • York's a pussycat compared to other cities. The city centre is certainly NOT a no-go area on a Saturday night as a previous poster suggested, it's full of happening bars and fancy restaurants and clubs. Also I very much doubt that we have the highest number of pre-18 yr old prisoners, don't make me laugh!! It's a great city, full of life and interest and excitement. I lived away in Leeds & London for over 10 years and now I'm so glad I moved back home to my civilized city!

  • It's so odd seeing your life through the eyes of a stranger! Looks like you enjoyed yourself! YORK FTW! xXx

  • i wish i can come back 2 england

  • I was here yesterday !

  • I like this town ;)

  • I like this town ;)

  • i live here in groves im gonna move out soon as i get the chance to many chavs :(

  • Just got back from York ^^

The evil eye SCARES me D:

  • Very nice.

  • im from york :)

  • It would have been nice if you could have just left the original sound with this-it would have added a bit of atmosphere to it.

still a nice clip tho-thanx for uploading

  • this needs a song to it good video ;

  • I'm from the US, just visited York for the first time last Fall. What an absolutely fantastic place :). The Fiancé and I are actually talking about having our wedding there! (She's from Darlington). Can't wait to go back!

  • i live/lived not an hour away from york (barnsley) and as a yorkshireman its easily one of the best/cleanest/safest places in urban yorkshire...possibly even england ! i was gunna go to the uni there but only down side was ... didnt really seem too student freindly in the end (not enough night clubs) haha typical student i no :D good vid nyways

  • You went all the way to York and you went to Lendal Cellars for lunch?! Oh dear.

  • That "weird" street performer with the kazoo has won awards for his acts. It is very weird. He's only a small bloke too.

  • No niggas cool

  • Haha now come on is it really worth dissing york? It isnt bad in york at all, nobody gets stabbed or murdered yeah theres a few not so great areas and some chavs which ruin york but apart from that its perfect =) compare london to york the amount of guns.. we have none of that.

  • @BL18x Actually people get stabbed there and murdered on a regular basis.Like many places the city centre is virtually a no-go area on Saturday night, especially when the races are on.

  • @lewisner That is utter bull shit! Ahaha.

  • Live here i do =] lived here all my life makes me realise ive been taken it for granted all this time, it is MILES cheaper than london. And it's such a nice place =)

  • Is Yorkshire cheaper to visit than London, I've been there twice and it is insanely expensive. The low price hotels there are a disgrace, small, filthy, and unsafe. Next time I would like to try Yorkshire.

  • Very nice video, I live here, have a look at the couple of slideshows I have of my lovely city of York.

    Joinerkev

  • london is culture capital, york is histor capital,i live here for uni terms, and london in holidays, best of both

  • I love the north of England - the derelict, the lovely (like York), the daft (everywhere), the accents, the humor, Peter Roinson, the working class attitude. The racism I could do without. I'm USA and I have close relatives in the south of England and Ireland, some rather posh but I grew up in the South Bronx. Posh it was not but I did for a while have likable rich friends. Thanks!

  • I live here now!

  • @ChrisTheRockGod Ive lived there for 14 years .

  • oh i would so love to live in york. Thanks for sharing.x

  • lol live there for 16 years like i have the only good thing is the college ! it's allright for a holiday but that about it.

  • haha typical teenagers, when your older you'll be grateful you grew up there. im 18 been around the world and UK and York is easily one of the best small citites ive ever been to.

(hoping your not 50 years old)

  • Brilliant video!

  • Its great to see York from a tourists eye.

When you live in York as I do you don't tend to notice the lovely places and views as you take them for granted. As a York resident you don't go to the museums or even notice the sights. I grew up with them so to me the town is just town. It's really good to see it from this angle. I do love the museum gardens in summer though, I have my lunch breaks there.

    Thanks for a great vid

  • As someone who doesnt live in the city, let me just say that York is great! I was lucky enough to visit many times during my childhood and thouroughly enjoyed it every time. I love it as an adult too. I find the history fascinating, and the shops and eateries are very nice. Makes for a really good day out. (Havent tried a night out there yet though!)

  • i'm going to visit york next summer!! :-)

  • its a great video I was there just last year. Im gona be there soon as well. if you like to night out,you have to go york revolution.. they are the the best in town.. cs I worked there

  • To see the daffodils - go in April!

  • I was born in York and lived there forty years - things ain't what!

  • York is a great place to live - like everywhere, it had it's good and bad bits, but the good far outweigh the bad! And York uni is fab. x

  • I'd just like to say that not everyone from York is a fucking Nazi like the prick who made the previous comment.

  • at least he actually does something for the city if you look at who he is

  • Oh, memories....I was there a year (long time ago), and I loved it! Had a blast of a time!

  • everywhere has its bad parts!

im planning on going to uni in York

  • @ChrisTheRockGod which uni???

  • @123ldh York is an awesome city! Don't diss!

  • @123ldh york has like, belfarm and tang hall as its roughest areas, compared to other cities that's no big deal! there's always going to be bad parts of a city. you can't honestly say that york is rough.

  • @123ldh i live in belfarm its not bad at all bro

  • @123ldh i live in clifton- nout wrong with it. in fact its a mint place to live

  • York rox i live there and its soo kl the shops are gr8 n there r soo many sites to see defo worth a visit.....

  • its the minster.i live in york

  • York's loveley.

  • I won't have anyone dissing York! I loved living in York and now I wish I never moved to London!!

    ssssroryssss2,

I know a girl who lives down 5th Avenue! I think its in Acomb she lives.

  • not that theres no culture in thornaby. oh no! agrees chris... you lying tramp lmao. i know what you think of thornaby ::

  • York is a fucking dump. I should know, I live here. Full of chinks coming over aking photos. Fuck off.

  • Me and A Friend had this idea to hi-jack a tour bus and take the tourists down places like 5th avenue to show them the real York. hahaha

  • :D

show them all the chavs of Dringhouses aswell!

  • chavs of dringhouses? LOL

  • that tall thing looked very strange
