  • Why was it common for surfers to talk like Rob Snyder from Saturday Night Live in the early 1990's then?....it's the copy man, making copies. Copyrama! I've been liven in Encinitas, and surfn, all my life...so I think I'm allowed.

  • What a cool Video. Fun to watch and yes, a bit jealous!

  • you sound like jeff bridges

  • It looks like an epic session. Nothings more fun than yourself and just a few friends out.

  • My dad took me on a road trip down there when I was 13, must have been 94' or so. Oh man that was the best 3 days of my life.

The conditions were a little smaller than this, but perfect for me at my age.

Watching the phosphorescent plankton rolling in in perfect lines from the campfire was absolutely unforgettable. Thanks for the memories!

  • so sick

  • I remember surfing rio nexpa in the early 80's with some guys from san diego. only 4-5 of us in the water or even in the area. no surf camp no crowds. just mellow surfing, some herb and kick back relaxing for a week. hard to find now days. but every now and then it just happens.

  • that place has blown up sooo much now! too many people know about it now

  • best vid ever..

  • @watermanblue2

Thanks. It was certainly a trip to remember.

  • @GSHUMAN3

yes it was. I just watched it again. What I would pay to have it all over again.

  • looks like the East Road?

  • @JonathanPMartin

East road it was. Those were the good old days.

  • it sucks out there ; )

  • @boogieboardsRgay

    Yea, I agree!

  • Way to go. Actually liked the footage and that old road trip feel. How about the lack of people. Now the place is sold out and not the escape it once was. And that's barely 20 years ago. Wow! Thanks!!

  • Yea. I still think about it all the time. We were the only ones surfing 2nd point for the whole 4 days. What I would do for that again!
