I loved these videos. Many little things such as places to attack from, weapons, etc helped a lot. I just beat MN tonight (dagra dick was easy since I saved all but one lives of the thousand gods, probably dumb in reality to do that). It makes you feel bad ass when you get that Ryu gamer picture. One of the hardest, cheapest games you will ever play; but super rewarding when you finally beat MN.

I just want to say thanks, your vids help me finish mentor mode and increase my essence count, errm its only took me 10 months and 500000000 "You have died do you wish to continue"..... to get to play on master level.

I still have not got to grips with the 360 lunar. I have problems swirling the joystick...

Two years. For two years, I've tired to beat Master Ninja mode. You know how many times I gave up? Threw my controller (I'm working on that problem...)? Cursed and shouted at those damn IS NInjas? does mashing random buttons and directions count as a fighting style? I do that and get raped. I don't understand how you're supposed to find your own style or best weapon. Memorizing button combos seems pretty futile.

@elk832 thats what makes ng 1 and 2 so unique. its not about button mashing unlike many fighting games. This game is about finding your opponents weakness. Defending (blocking) and fighting back with your own combos. If you just mash buttons and dont block you will get raped. Thats why this game is so hard.

Exactly. Ninja Gaiden 2 is one of the few games on the XBOX 360 that you can't beat just by button mashing over and over until you finally beat a particular part.  You have to know what you are doing to win.

Instead of learning a bunch of button combos, you should learn three or four that you use all the time. Once you use them enough, it will become second nature. I have beat the game on Master Ninja difficulty and I only use a few of the best combos. It is completely pointless trying to learn every single combo, or even most of the combos, for the weapon. There are mutliple combos that I have never used, ever.

I'd barely be scraping by in this game without you, Reim - but tonight I beat Mentor with maxed items/weapons and 20000+ essence to spare, and then had the privilege of being destroyed by POTMN Rasetsu.

I enjoy the way you refer to the nuisances in the game! Watched most of your vid's i think; learned some strategies i didn't know - like dashing to shake off IC's, which makes all the difference in Mentor and Master Ninja.

(For awhile your postings were mirroring the stages i was just reaching in Mentor each time.. heh heh.)

Your video's helped me get through Mentor mode, now I'm gonna work on MN, thank you so much! Not only did you show easy ways to get past really cheap parts (certain rocket launcher guys and some really lame bosses) but you also helped me learn alot of techniques that I never would have thought to use. Thanks for all the vids man. I watched them all in order as I played the game up til around ch.11 and managed to finish the game off without sitting at my comp and pausing the video every time I died. Hopefully we get another NG game so I can get another great walkthrough. Thanks again
