hey guys, Houston Singleterry here with Houston Singleterry to tell you how to Houston Singleterry. Ableton is very compatible with Houston Singleterry and actually allows for full vinyl control.
Was think video supposed to inform us of something??? or give a demonstration of what this new technology is capable of - cos all I can see if 2 fuckwits mumbling something about laptops tracks and vinyl control of mp3's. Demonstration of not to be helpful lol
technology looks cool, but this video is a fail as a demo. sound sucks (nick's mic it too quiet) and it should just be one person doing it--too all over the place as it is. and there's too much face time for the demonstrators and not enough screen time showing the product itself.
I am a Traktor Scratch Pro user and must say this impresses the hell out of me. I am not so crazy about the mix record automation. It literally takes the whole aspect of being a DJ and throws it out the window. I could see the limitless possiblilities with it, but with the newer generarion of DJ's who started out on DVS this will not improve the basics and they will be screwed if they are ever forced to use vinyl and turntables. I am all for innovation and progression but use it creatively!
why would someone have to go back to vinyl??? seriously.. the times are changing dude, and i know its hard for you and a million other old school DJ's to move on, but you gotta get with the times bro..
@brand0wnsyou Its the principle of it, I am obviously with the times because I went to a DVS. I even got that piece of poo Stanton Final Scratch when it first came out. Peeps will pick this up and call themselves a DJ without learning the basics. Most people use it to mix but and let the computer do the mixing for them. I am all for using it creatively, think Ian Golden and the DMC guys doin it up. Whats going to happen if the Mac or PC crashes or messes up mid set? IPOD? Thats not DJing.
yah, so what if they call themselves DJ's.. then their idiots...
even people who use old school vinyl's and understand basic principles of mixing can be horrible DJ's all the same...
and what if a tornado came and ruined everything for an old school DJ?? what IF??
case in point - classic DJing doesnt take much skill anymore, as technology eliminates the need for skill now days... and weather or not somebody understands the technology they're using or not, it doesnt effect the
@brand0wnsyou@brand0wns I always bring some vinyl just in case. Believe me, I embrace technology and everything we as humans can exploit from it. You obviously read what you wanted to read from my post. By all means please reply. Take it easy bro. "The guy who is stuck in the past" Just Saying:)
all the sound tecghnology in the world except a decent presentation with audible clear audio LOL.. Come on guys get it together. Cool products though. On the dj fron Serato jumped into the game with this for me. APC40 and Ableton with decks, NOICE!

@crowdedtable it's called " the crane". it'll run you about $100
stanton makes a cheaper alternative, but it sucks.
