Wow. The Nat/Liv scene was amazing! both ladies pulled this off so well. I watched a CC interview where she said she only reads her scripts once before going on-so lots of times they are totally playing off of each other, and you can feel the connection between these ladies from AFAR.

She offers to do whatever else she can for Nat, just not that. Sorry for Nat, but I understand Liv's position. But I'd like to she a reconciliaion soon.
They are still friends Liv would do anything for Nat w/o question but for Live that is a place she cant go even in friendship there is a bit of self preservation What would that do to Liv. If they get together & they will it will be through love and not desperation. Liv allowed Nat to find her strenght in her faith and not in Liv. Frank on the other hand would pick Nat up and carried her to his bed when Nat needed to find her strength in herself to deal big regret later OTALIA rocks!

The things is though...up at the spa weekend? They promised to remain BESTfriends no matter what happened with the new direction of their relationship. Truth is Nat has issues running and Liv has issues trusting. They both have issues. I say they both need to get over themselves and move forward.

Again, if the writers stuck to the characters true profiles Olivia would not have even hesitated in helping Nat up and hugging her and listening to her. Liv (in my opinion) does everything based on feelings.
Anybody that can look at the person you love, more than anything else, falling apart and hurting and just pat their hand and tell them you can't hug them please tell me how you do that. I'm pretty tough but I don't think I could do that even on my toughest, don't even talk to me day.
LOL the old Olivia would've destroyed Natalia and Frank. Rafe would've been back in jail for violating his parole orchestrated by Liv. She would've taken Nat's baby and put it up for adoption. Liv would've bulldozed the FoL. Abandonment is a HUGE no-no for Liv. Nat has really changed Liv for the better because in the old days, Liv would have went nuts. Nat should be lucky she just didn't hug her.

I actually loved this episode! Finally I see the real strong Natalia back in the scene with Rafe, which doesn't mean this wouldn't shock her and make cry, but it's the stubborn determined Dimples that I fell in love with together with her nurturing soft side thinking she might not hve taught Rafe enough.
The humor is also back (I nearly choked laughing with 'hormonal' Nat at the grocery store). And it was greatly acted angst w/chemistry between Otalia (which I had not felt since N returned)
That being said, my heart was broken in million pieces when O wouldn't comfort N. That was too much for my heart!!
Come here Dimples, I'll hug you. Liv has superhuman strength to say not to that gorgeous creature literally at her feet telling her that she needs her!!
But I thought the acting in that moment was fantastic from the both of them. Angst aside, electric Otalia chemistry is back!!

Olivia's reactions/ are so spot on it's scary... and CC does such an amazing job portraying that.

The endearments are because it's painfully obvious Liv still loves Nat; however, they are not a couple but YMMV. If I left my girlfriend for 6 wks and gave her no reason why, I'd hope she'd consider that a break up. And if every day since I was back, she tells me to leave her alone or I just want to be your friend, I'd think we weren't together. If I loved her, I'd try to get her back like Nat's doing. But I'm one of those people, that saw nothing wrong Olivia finding comfort/sex with Josh.

calistreaks-I had the same reaction to this episode..what a huge downer going into the weekend. I kept hoping Olivia would walk into the church as Natalia was finishing her prayer, then at least we'd have something meaningful to look forward to.
Anyway, I'll make myself feel better by imagining that's the opening scene for Monday. We better see our girls in every freaking episode until GL goes off the air!

I agree with the bi-polar tendency of the writers of late, but this scene was clearly mean to be funny and Nat explained it was her hormones making her a bit too mushy 'pregnant woman..all we do is cry' and then being as emotional when remy said he bought flowers for christina. That made me LOL so much!! :D
Call me cold but I'm amazed Liv is even talking to Nat after the stunt she pulled. I would have asked if she was alright when
i saw her at the door and walked in. No conversation. Nat is presumptive as all hell. Liv doesn't owe her anything especially any comfort or peace of mind - things that Nat didn't think to give Liv or Rafe when she ran off. *shrugs* At least Rafe told her he was leaving.
No one, but I believe in good old fashioned suffering to go with my remorse. I want Nat to feel a 1/10 of the pain Liv felt while she was away. It's really not Liv's problem that Rafe is joining the military. When Liv was spiraling with alcohol and depression b/c of Nat and Emma was getting the brunt of it where was Emma's other Mommy. Nowhere to be found. Unfortunately there isn't enough time for a good redemptive arc so Liv will crumble b/c of the dimples and the pout. Whatevs.
I'm not completely immune to big brown eyes, a devastating pout, and dimples; but I can't forget how Liv and Emma suffered while Nat was away to really feel all that bad for Nat.
Think of a puppy biting you and peeing on your rug and then wanting to play. You'd want that little joker to leave you alone for a bit, at least until you can clean up their mess and put a bandage on the bite mark they left on you.

Olivia loves Natalia and she dosen't want to run into her arms too quickly because of fear of abandonment. She wants too help her but not get too close yet. If she huggs her, Olivia might not be able to let go. A hugg might tear that wall that Olivia has built between them. So sad I want them to make up! :(

Okay, now Olivia is going all bi-polar on us. First she berates Nat for not coming to her with the big stuff. Than when Nat does show up (after Frank & Remy - WTF was that about?), she's says she can't give her the hug she needs?! Dammit, girl, it's a hug - you're not getting naked (as much as we wish it). Hugging friends is good (like hugging Josh at the end?!), but leaving your BFF huddle on the floor cos you're afraid to touch, that's just several shades of wrong.
Nat did not go to Frank for comfort. She went to ask him a favor to talk to Rafe, since she knows Rafe listens to Frank, and Frank is he's legally assigned mentor anyways. With Remy, she just ran into him. She went to Liv not to ask her to do anything about the Rafe situation (i.e. to fix it), she went there for comfort..as you would to the person you love.
So glad it's working! And just so everyone knows, when a video is first loaded, the quality is poor until the processing is finalized. That usually takes about 1/2 hour. So check back in a bit for much improved quality.

Yet again JL & CC pull off the impossible, especially JL this week. Even though they have her character acting sane one minute & all out batsh*t the next, JL always manages to make it believable, the poor woman has alot of work to do before this is over. The V/B scene was pretty cute, even w/ the icky wrong voyeurism! Josh & Liv are like the Little Rascals together, & I doubt that'll change after they both get their girl!

Okay...Today Natalia was looking for affirmation of being a good mom, of not being this huge failure....NOT of affection! Nat is aware her and Liv have a lot of issues to get past...that's why she wanted her friend today...not her girlfriend. Olivia was wrong but more than that she was a coward...I love Liv like no other...but she was wrong and unfair to Nat today. Exactly. The thing is that Liv could hug Josh and not feel anything more that friendly love, but she can't just hug Natalia like a friend. She can't be that intimate as friend when she feels more than that. She's not trying to be rude to Nat, she 's actually preventing being hurt herself. Totally understandable. problem is Olivia was fully vested after she gave Nat an out (Frank& Nat fiasco wed)& Nat convinced Liv they would work given time I guess. They were totally fine till Nat found out she was Preg and left. Very hurtful esp. when they were about 2 tell the world sort of. Liv felt abandoned by d woman she loved & 4 that time it recked her & she was out of contrl I under... Liv nat does 2. liv is not being 2ard she is still showing care and loving concern for nat and will recipocate. Otalia rocks!

Again, if the writers stuck to the characters true profiles Olivia would not have even hesitated in helping Nat up and hugging her and listening to her. Liv (in my opinion) does everything based on feelings.
Anybody that can look at the person you love, more than anything else, falling apart and hurting and just pat their hand and tell them you can't hug them please tell me how you do that. I'm pretty tough but I don't think I could do that even on my toughest, don't even talk to me day.

LOL the old Olivia would've destroyed Natalia and Frank. Rafe would've been back in jail for violating his parole orchestrated by Liv. She would've taken Nat's baby and put it up for adoption. Liv would've bulldozed the FoL. Abandonment is a HUGE no-no for Liv. Nat has really changed Liv for the better because in the old days, Liv would have went nuts. Nat should be lucky she just didn't hug her.

I actually loved this episode! Finally I see the real strong Natalia back in the scene with Rafe, which doesn't mean this wouldn't shock her and make cry, but it's the stubborn determined Dimples that I fell in love with together with her nurturing soft side thinking she might not hve taught Rafe enough.
The humor is also back (I nearly choked laughing with 'hormonal' Nat at the grocery store). And it was greatly acted angst w/chemistry between Otalia (which I had not felt since N returned)

The endearments are because it's painfully obvious Liv still loves Nat; however, they are not a couple but YMMV. If I left my girlfriend for 6 wks and gave her no reason why, I'd hope she'd consider that a break up. And if every day since I was back, she tells me to leave her alone or I just want to be your friend, I'd think we weren't together. If I loved her, I'd try to get her back like Nat's doing. But I'm one of those people, that saw nothing wrong Olivia finding comfort/sex with Josh.

calistreaks-I had the same reaction to this episode..what a huge downer going into the weekend. I kept hoping Olivia would walk into the church as Natalia was finishing her prayer, then at least we'd have something meaningful to look forward to.
Anyway, I'll make myself feel better by imagining that's the opening scene for Monday. We better see our girls in every freaking episode until GL goes off the air!

No one, but I believe in good old fashioned suffering to go with my remorse. I want Nat to feel a 1/10 of the pain Liv felt while she was away. It's really not Liv's problem that Rafe is joining the military. When Liv was spiraling with alcohol and depression b/c of Nat and Emma was getting the brunt of it where was Emma's other Mommy. Nowhere to be found. Unfortunately there isn't enough time for a good redemptive arc so Liv will crumble b/c of the dimples and the pout. Whatevs.

Think of a puppy biting you and peeing on your rug and then wanting to play. You'd want that little joker to leave you alone for a bit, at least until you can clean up their mess and put a bandage on the bite mark they left on you.

Olivia loves Natalia and she dosen't want to run into her arms too quickly because of fear of abandonment. She wants too help her but not get too close yet. If she huggs her, Olivia might not be able to let go. A hugg might tear that wall that Olivia has built between them. So sad I want them to make up! :(

i can understand why Olivia can't get to close to Natalia at the moment BUT 1 bloody hug would not have hurt. As a "friend" she sholud have done so.

Okay, now Olivia is going all bi-polar on us. First she berates Nat for not coming to her with the big stuff. Than when Nat does show up (after Frank & Remy - WTF was that about?), she's says she can't give her the hug she needs?! Dammit, girl, it's a hug - you're not getting naked (as much as we wish it). Hugging friends is good (like hugging Josh at the end?!), but leaving your BFF huddle on the floor cos you're afraid to touch, that's just several shades of wrong.

Nat did not go to Frank for comfort. She went to ask him a favor to talk to Rafe, since she knows Rafe listens to Frank, and Frank is he's legally assigned mentor anyways. With Remy, she just ran into him. She went to Liv not to ask her to do anything about the Rafe situation (i.e. to fix it), she went there for comfort..as you would to the person you love.
Two completely diff things:
Frank (instinct reaction to protect her son)
Liv (comfort for her own sake)
