OMG I remember this blasting out of our school disco back in 1984 no not really ( would have been an amusing if slightly surreal disco)

on a more serious note i do remember this playing back on the long gone music box channel back in 1984, and after using google to try and work out how to spell the guys name, i went onto youtube and found it.

song has stuck in my head for more than 25 years, yet only ever saw it a dozen times or less back oon the music box channel....Memories

Ah man, I was there! It was a great show, unfortunately couldn't stay till the end but another occasion where going along with dad's suggestion of an artist whose stuff I've hardly heard has paid off! (Although a couple of times it *has* made me the youngest in the audience ^_^)

Yes, I was there too - a great evening, very varied and entertaining, from Cool In The Pool to Can out-takes to some heavy trance/techno via a tribute to Stockhausen. Wonderful.

I was there - for a while. Holgar came on stage and introduced a series of 20+year old videos then stuff he had been sent in the post to him years ago. £20 nowadays should get you a live performance. My passion for his music has not deminisished but I will not travel hundreds of miles to see him in future introducing You Tube videos.

If Holger reads this - dont stand in the shadows, play. If you cant play then stand in the light so that we can commend you.

I was so happy when I found a copy of the orig. 12" of this in my hometown Padova in Italy... the B side has a tk called "Biomutanten" cred. by LES VAMPYRETTES which is him and Conny Plank and is much more experimental but awesome too... makes it a killer 12" !..5E well spent !!

..but I love this tk... so playful, melodic, sexy and extra dubby like is nobody's biz !!

Sah ich das Video zum ersten Mal bei "Formel 1"? Vermutlich. Gekauft bereits einige Wochen vorher, als es im WDR lief. Die 7"-Single musste ich mir dann im "Plattenfachhandel" bestellen. Für mich DER Song für die Leichtigkeit des Seins nach dem Abitur 1984.

Der Song ist von 1984, als "alle" gelernt hatten, Pop-Songs zu schreiben und aus dem Gothic/Positive Punk-Dasein wieder ans Licht kamen bzw. einfacher geworden waren und neue Wege suchten (Holger gehörte natürlich nicht dazu). Holger sagte, er hätte sich das Trio (das aus Großenkneten) angehört und gedacht, das könne er auch. Stimmt genau. Nur besser. Das Video hatte dann wieder Trio-Qualitäten.

I'm not bragging, but I have this song on vinyl, 7" with a cool jacket included. I was psyched to find it, and the song has been a fave on many compilations I would put together for friends and family. It was good to see it on the you tube food chain.
