As for the video itself, it is most certainly fake. For a start the launch angle is wrong for where it hits the guy, HE DOESNT AIM AT THE FLOOR, like your both saying. Hes aiming more at calf height, judging by how far the guy is away from him. Also if you watch the film in slow motion at 10.16 seconds you can clearly see the smoke trail going towards the mid-upper torso not the top of his head. Although i will say that the next couple of frames were pretty well editted.....

@MrSaaaaki A smoke round will not take out a vehicle, secondly the camera angle shows him directly aiming at the civilian. At all checkpoints we had big signs written in english and arabic to slow down and stop. If they chose not to stop we were authorized to disable the vehicle. Using a 40MM smoke grenade wouldn't do that, if he hit the windshield it would either punch through or bounce right off and scatter. Best case if that did actually happen you use HEDP when they don't stop.

First of all the 40mm round has to travel a certain distance to arm. I think it takes several rotations for it to arm so when the dumbass said you hit him in the head with a 40 mike mike he was wrong. Secondly you fire either HE, HEDP, Smoke or flechette. Any of these rounds besides smoke would've had a blast radius. The military tech on this show is an idiot.

As for the video itself, it is most certainly fake. For a start the launch angle is wrong for where it hits the guy, HE DOESNT AIM AT THE FLOOR, like your both saying. Hes aiming more at calf height, judging by how far the guy is away from him. Also if you watch the film in slow motion at 10.16 seconds you can clearly see the smoke trail going towards the mid-upper torso not the top of his head. Although i will say that the next couple of frames were pretty well editted.....

@MrSaaaaki A smoke round will not take out a vehicle, secondly the camera angle shows him directly aiming at the civilian. At all checkpoints we had big signs written in english and arabic to slow down and stop. If they chose not to stop we were authorized to disable the vehicle. Using a 40MM smoke grenade wouldn't do that, if he hit the windshield it would either punch through or bounce right off and scatter. Best case if that did actually happen you use HEDP when they don't stop.

The rounds have to do several rotations before they're armed this is a failsafe measure to ensure soldiers safety and that of thers near them. Also had a smoke round hit the ground the casing on the front would've broken, so it's an implausible story. Lastly what did they think they would achieve by firing a smoke round at a crowd of already anxious people. This was subpar training

First of all the 40mm round has to travel a certain distance to arm. I think it takes several rotations for it to arm so when the dumbass said you hit him in the head with a 40 mike mike he was wrong. Secondly you fire either HE, HEDP, Smoke or flechette. Any of these rounds besides smoke would've had a blast radius. The military tech on this show is an idiot.

It was a 40mm (mike mike) smoke round that was fired and yes they do launch with enough force to kill someone if they hit at close range as that one did, regardless of it exploding or not. Also why did the dumbass choose to waste a 40mm round against one target? Goes to show you these so called Marine advisors don't have a fucking clue as to what really goes on in combat and on the ground. We had signs clearly readable in Arabic to stop and if they chose not to obey that, then deadly force was justifed. What the fuck do you think a smoke round would do to a car anyway? Punch through the glass and detonate? You're a fucking retard. I myself spent three tours in Iraq with the 1st Cav, 1st Brigade Combat Team.
