Ravan was a truly gifted brahmin soul, sure he exercised power, but he deserved it. He had that tenacy to do that kind of tapa and perform such penances to get so much power. And if after going through such hardships if someone is entitled to the highest throne ever known to the worldly humans, it is very difficult to stop oneself from considering himself greater than anyone else and hence be abusive of his powers.

i think there is a spelling mistake in the 2nd sloka......nilimpanirjhari is spelt wrongly as nilampinarjhari......it does nt match with the pronuntiation either.......please clarify ....................but its a great work............and indians should see that this is india's heritage and such a store of excellence and perfection in the work.......which was done so many thousand years ago.........when people of other part of world may not have learnt to speak i guess...........OM NAMAH SIVAY..
