wow this is one of my favorite Steve Vai's. So twisted and so are you. Great variation on your play style and I enjoyed it. I had same guitar as yours, but I sold it recently. Now I am trying to play new brand. Now I use ESP, but if I can afford I don't mind Suhr guitars, those are great.

can you use the m13 as a pre amp to record as well as a multifx stomp box emulator?

nope, m13 doesn't work as a preamp, buy the x3 live instead, it has the exact same effects plus preamp sim.

try a dry clean, no delays or reverb and a red or blue comp full on with a bit of chorus...
