I love the view of Denver from Thornton, we're higher up so we have great views of the city here in T-town. Theres a restaurant off Grant street, like between Thornton Pkwy and Eppinger called Brittany Hill thats abandoned too. AMAZING views from that place.
That little neighborhood is being revamped and the property values have skyrocketed. It will still be a good 5 to 10 years before that neighborhood is completely renovated and recognized as a cool part of town to hang out at.
