If you treat it right will not dry the economy. Should be based on contribution. Not give someone British citizenship just arriving in the country and the one who has been there for 10 or 11 years left to wait or refuse.Refusing someone who has contributed and paid tax regularly you give a bad message to those new comers to avoid taxation and burden the British pension system.Majority of immigrants who have been in the country for more than 10 years can not go to see their old sick relatives.

@jcoldham1 Britain has a large population of elderly and the fact of increasing population does not match. Britain has millions of elderly people. Man if we all think universal rather than thinking in short term interests all this skepticism will go away. In many of the areas you mention can be manageable improved with the workforce of native and immigrants living in the United Kingdom but all this need unified approach. I agree with you that Home Office has unfair ways of dealing with immigrants case and in most times they are very controversial to what they say. They have built up this system that some of the immigrants they grant unfairly and others who have contributed for the society they punish unfairly if those were legal or illegal. Their approach of punishing those who entered illegally a decade ago in the country but contributed to the pot of taxation than those so grated recent legals is wrong
