  • Why does it take a jewish film maker to decide what happens in Mississippi? I wonder if Paul allows his jewish children to mix with other races? Jews are the biggest racists' in the world and only they can live in their own SEGREGATED COMMUNITIES!

  • I live in Oxford.. we don't have problem

  • what a movie..pls watch this in webmovietube

  • i have found a website webmovietube to watch movies for free..njoy

  • nice movie..saw this movie in webmovietube for completely free

  • made my day!!! thanks web movie tube

  • what if you're not black or white. the only chinese guy at the asian prom.

  • notice how its whites that are usually happy/content to be segregated and have no strong desire to integrate, and blacks or nonwhites are like depressed and sad to be segregated and excluded even though their prom is just as good as whites. why is that ?

  • @denshaotoko89 one white kid in the film says he's parents forbid him to go to the black prom. hes not happy to be segregated.

  • Paul is now my hero. <3

  • MY COUSINS raised in WINONA,MS

& BACK IN THE 90'S they still had segregated proms- because both my cousins who are black females attended segregated proms.

  • i can say things are starting to change were i use to stay in mississippi cuz i go to the mall and see alot of interracial couples most of the kids in this Generation are kinda saying fuck what our parents think and some are still to afraid to but coming from a hispanic kid whos mixed himself and went to school that was mostly black and white and dated both races and all that good stuff LOL!!!! All I can say is keep fighting the good fight and dont let ignorance mess up great opportunities

  • I lived in North Mississippi we never had anything just for white people or just for black people at all when i was in school but it was kinda a wierd for me being the only Dominican kid in school I kinda hung out with everybody but most Whites just thought i was a light skinned black boy that looked Native American LOL!!!!!!!! from my point of view the only people that I thought was racist was parents when it came to there kids dating interracial but nothing really bad ever happen from it

  • That state will never change!!! Its the birthplace of Jim Crow!!! I dont give a shit what anybody says!! Mississippi is FUKEN RACIST and will never change!!

KKK is still alive and well there!!

  • @DG3744 people do change, but if they don't change, they eventually die, and the next generation might just be different

  • same thing happened in Winona, MS a few years ago...not sure if they are still having separate proms or not. It was a scandal and made alot of parents mad when the kids tried to change it.

  • i was born in charleston ms

  • I could not believe it! its crazy! Now that we have computers, internet, lets use it for something good and if you dislike someone for its race and for its believe just open your minds and find about that persons' culture Find out how slavery started Read! its so simple we dont need to buy books to know about someones culture just Google its that simple Its a way to stop ignorance Like he says we all are a little bit prejudice but its do to ignorance we just have to read and overcome it!

  • Not all Mississippi towns are like this!!!

  • BULLSHIT! Yes it IS!!

  • Untrue. But not all MS people are like this. :)

  • thank u for sayin dat because im n a place n ms. dats noway like dis

  • Charleston is where I grew up and I can confirm when this documentary was filmed there was an integrated prom and a white prom in the same year. Nothing really changed. Civil Rights keep chugging along and we're all still viewed as backwards. It's a shame that the cultures are so different.

  • You need to appreciate and respect the differences in each culture and not thinking of it as "shame." Shame on you!

  • fascinating interview. i just watched the documentary earlier tonight for the first time.

  • Well actually they don't have seperate homecomings I mean come on what u think they play seperate games too? What they do have is both black and white homecoming queens for each class and the students vote for the overall queen and king

  • Most Schools in Mississippi still have seperate Black and White Homecoming Kings and Queens.

  • It Is A Must See Documentary/Film. It Was 2008 At This Time For This Film And It Is Still Going On. Why I Want To Know Why?

  • the things that happen in charleston will never change, yes the film was made i was happy that it took place. Lord knows that my senior class of 06 wouldnt have had it, but charleston is charleston a place erected in 1800's and will forever be frozen in time... nothing will change and i lose sleep over that.

  • your way of thinking is why it wont. People have to think different to live different.

  • the guy in the hat cam to our school in canada to show us the movie in october 2008 i thought it was amazing because i knew that there was still racism in the world i just didnt know how badly effected highschool was with black and white proms. I give the movie 5 stars

  • thats my senior class CHarleston mis. we were the first ones to have this shit ya dig

  • I know someone working on this movie. ^_^ He's an editor.. He knows some of the people working on this film and he's going to meet Morgan Freeman! I made a project about him he can do some great acting and he was in some awesome movies. ^_^

  • Can anyone tell me where i can watch it?
