  • i'm arabic and i'm really suprised at the similarity between arabic language and hebrew one!

  • Thanks a lot for making this videos! It´s such a great help :)

  • I wonder why YouTube has a problem with posting comments. It won't post your comments but you find out later you actually posted the same comment 3 times.

  • thanks for your lesson maha...am Indonesian people...my ancestor is from Yaman...thank you now I know much about language and culture because of you...

  • same alphabet as the Aramaic language :D

  • okay

  • Just a few corrections. Neither Hebrew nor Arabic languages come from Aramaic, Alphabets, yes.

Tsade is equivalent to Arabic saad ص (actually Hebrew Tsade is a mixture of Arabic ص, ض, ظ)

Vav is also another letter which in ancient Hebrew was same as Arabic, Waw.

  • so sweet of you, your teachings are pretty interesting and they're very easy to understand, im so greatful to you. actually i want these hebrew lessongs to read my bible in hebrew. i wanted to read hebrew bible so badly, that's why im here, and your teachings have cleared the way for me, and now i'm gonna teach hebrew to my little little sister....... thank you sooooooooooo much for everything

  • Bello! Grazie mille! Ora proveró ad imparare a pronunciare le varie lettere..mi piace molto questa lingua! Ciao ;)

  • hebrew is cool!!!!!!!!

  • but its easier for me to trill than rha

  • This lady is cute. Seems a little nervous or shy.

  • The rolling R isn't typical german, more like bavarian or austrian dialect.

  • i am a persian (Iranian ) and i was watching your video today and i was soooo surprise that i found Hebrew alphabet is more similar to Farsi which is my language to compare with Arabic . would love and feel i can learn Hebrew easily. thanx for this video and keep it up

  • I just wanted to say that the word Baqara in Arabic, meaning cow, is the same as Baqar in Hebrew which means "Beef"/.... Also, the word for bird in Hebrew is Tzipor, but it's the same root as Asfur. The letter Tzadi is related directly to either the letter Saad or Dhad in Arabic

  • wow what you do is so important for all of us,thank you so much! You spend of your time to teach us like a face to face teacher, you rock at it!!Again thank you and God Bless you!(The reason i wanted to learn apart from liking much to learn languages is that its the language Jesus spoke and the other Christians there days :D )

  • it is correct that we have the guttural r in German, but in fact have of the people dont speak it like that but still role it... such as bavarians, swabians, eastern european and arab immigrants and old people^^

  • seriously, THANK you sooooo much ! ... comparing it to Arabic is very much helpful.

  • Its gonna take much practice to properly pronounce the "kh" sound

  • Toda Raba ! great course !

  • I don't get the differences and sounds between: א, ע. Could someone explain me how are they pronounced in Biblical Hebrew?

  • I'm NOT trying to be rude in ANY way, but I speak both English and Hebrew (English is my first language) and umm.... catav is actually write, "he writes" is hoo cotev.

  • And Dutch R ;_!

  • Hi, could you scan this child's book and upload it?/ We'd appreciate!!

  • great and very likeable teacher!!!

I'm from Bavaria (Germany) and in contrast to what you're saying in the video, I have a big problem with the modern pronounciation of resh (and also with the French "r" by the way).

Maybe it's only Bavarian dialect but we pronounce the "r" more like the original resh... just by the way ;-)

  • so youre christian?

  • Are you suggesting that Hebrew speakers never pronounced Qop as the Arabic Qaaf, but rather the Kaaf?

  • though i only try to speek corectly..it is really a same that the original sounds of the letters is fading away.

  • and at 4:09 the r IN PARA must be pronoced ghhhaa , no ?

  • Hello Maha!

the lesson is great! but i have some questions

    about the letters :

    ם

    ף

    ץ

    ך

    ן

what are these letters ? you didn't talk about them , right ?

  • They are edning sofits. ONly used at the ending of a word

  • @Chameleonslove In Hebrew language there are ending letters, the letters which you just mentioned. ם - M ף - F. ץ - TS. ך - kh... Like כ. ן - N. Those letters are pronounced the same as the original letters but you put those ones in the end of the word, NEVER in the start or middle. Example: Shalom - Hello: NOT: שלומ But: שלום So it's easy to remember. ~ FunnyGames.
  • واللة مرات بقلب يا مها عشان أشوف ايش حاطة فيديو وكم لغة ما شاللة عليكي ابتحكي (لو كلنا زيك) وعشان الواحد اتعود عليكي وعلى شخصيتك وصار يحبك, ومرات بقلب عشان أشوف كيف عاملة شعرك بهاد الفيديو وهداك الفيديو

  • Maha, can I ask you a thing?

Languages like italian and french are romance: in fact they are similar. So, languages like hebrew and arabic are similar.. what's their common origin (if they have a common origin...)?

    I don't know if I used english well ( I'm an italian)..

    In very basic terms:

    Indo-European -> Romance -> French and Italitan

Afro-Asiatic -> Semitic -> Central Semitic -> Aramaic, Arabic and Hebrew
