let me give you an advice:
in the winter(like here in Romania, Buzau county is NOW), grab your dicks, sorry "offroad cars" and go(or try) to a village somewhere about 10-15 km from a city!
But not on a road, since you have an offroad car on hands...
Even a JEEP cherokee 2.5TD 4x4 + a Toyota Land-Cruiser almost got stuck in a road with lots of snow and wind "around"...
I had the same decision to make- except I was buying used. Went with an '07 RR HSE. Loved the styling & capability but too many issues, so I sold it & got an '08 LR3. LR3 is the best of both worlds- boxy utilitarian styling and a comfy interior with a great build quality & exceptional off road handling. And I get 20mpg highway!
tree mode? hilarios. That road is good for almost cars. Only idiots buy a 100.000 dollars car to use it on that kind of road and then saying that he was offroading with his precious car.
to those Wranglers leading your way this is a highway not an off-road trail.
