  • See the disappointment, in these mens face,

Not for what she did, but for what shes admitting.

I bet they were thinking, god shes soo weak...

  • The facts:

-The USA is the last remaining industrial democracy without universal health insurance

-Our health system is ranked 37th by the World Health Organization

-The CIA World Factbook ranks us 46th in infant mortality and 30th in life expectancy,

-The Institute of Medicine found that we lose 18,000 lives per year due to a lack of health insurance

-We spend more than twice as much on health care as the average developed country in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development

  • When giving the "fact" of our IMR (Infant Mortality Rate) you should include the reasons we rank so much lower. We count all of our babies regardless of birth weight, birth length, prematurity, and death within the first 24 hours of life. Since 2000, of the 52 surviving infants born weighing less than 400g 42 were born in the U.S.

  • I have watched Damaged care and was so disgusted of what's happening in our health care delivery system. As a nurse, I have seen people dying because they are uninsured. I always thought that these problems can only be seen in poor countries, not here not in America, i was wrong. Health care is a right not a privilege, we should do something now and make health care a free access for everyone. support H.R. 676. let's make a difference.

  • I think more Americans should be interested in this topic. It seems that only 581 views for this video and 11 comments are too few, especially when one considers that a significant percentage of viewers and commentators are not even American.

  • actually this problem is quite simple to solve...free health care for all!! people need to demand it or it will never happen. take to the streets and demand freedom with free healthcare.People are taking control of healthcare for the soul purpose of money, because you americans seem to enjoy being told what to do and what to believe is right so why would they stop taking advantage of you?

  • As a medical student I can say that Free health care is NOT the solution. Majority of the number one KILLERS in the USA are nearly 100% preventable. Heart Failure, Lung cancer, Obesity, these are just a few that Exercise, STOP SMOKING and Eating Healthy will prevent. However millions of American's are do NOT exercise, eat poor and smoke. Then they want to demand FREE health care, the most inexpensive and affective health care is to take care of yourself.

  • I totally agree with you on the best solution is prevetion BUT can we be so cold as to say...well you got yourself into the mess so get yourself out...is not a solution with progression.

ALSO when you really start to delve into it more, the food we are given and are thought to believe are healthy, are really not. Our food has been tempered with for many years now and also our water.

A society that cares for each other, will thrive together.

  • You are partly right but since school and with the bombardment of the tv ads for junk food we are in a system that sets us up for health failure from the start. combined with once you go to a doctor for anything small or somewhat severe you are always givin a prescription because now a days doctors make a commision on prescribing drugs . thus making us sicker. it is almost impossible to have good health in the us with all the junk processed food that just makes us more sick . catch 22

  • There are no easy/quick answers in this. Health care is not a firm science like mathematics. What is considered standard today will be frowned upon in 10 years or less, just check the revolving door history of the industry.

People have unrealistic expectations that they should never get sick, and if they do, that someone had better fix it. Not all things are fixable. There are two answers in one: For atheists - you're gonna die anyway. Theists - ask God "why" when you see him.

    Pretty simple.

  • Are you saying that people should not have the right to see a doctor is they get something like cancer just because they can't pay for it? Do you think that we should continue to let the health insurance company's continue to choose who gets to see a doctor and who don't?

  • No I don't think those things. I think medicine for profit is vile. Of course the doctors should be paid, paid well, but medicine for profit is damn near evil. That said, doctors have far less power than the average person gives them credit for.

In my world doctors are good for many things like: setting broken bones, birthin' babies, stitches, burning off warts and many similar things. They are not magic healers, whether everyone were to get all the options wouldn't increase their lifespans.

  • I'm not saying there magical healers and yes they should make money but the health insurance company's who we really on one to pay for our doctors deni us payment when it starts to get a little to expensive.

  • For most of the human race's 40,000 year existence today's advanced medical procedures were not used at all so really anybody who does get approved should just be thankful.

  • wow, you're narrow minded. Here in the Netherlands (In fact in all of Europe) health care is for everybody. (just as it should be)

  • wow, you're narrow minded. Here in the Netherlands (in fact in all of Europe) there is health care for everybody. (just as it should be). I would like to see you talking, like you're doing know, when you are ill/dying

  • No, I'm not narrow minded. In fact I think everybody should have health care. I just think people should stop bitching and moaning all the time about what they don't have and be thankful for what they do.

  • what you call "bitching and moaning" is actually the result of people thinking, and speaking up. sure we are lucky to live in a place that has advanced medical solutions. i agree with you. but that doesn't mean we turn a blind eye to corruption, and accept a system designed to profit by denying people treatment that could save their lives. point blank, the more claims they deny, the more profitable they are. just because we are lucky, doesn't mean we should not advocate for fairness and decency.

  • you are an idiot lair

  • motherfuckers
