As far as Farrakhan goes, I have put him on trial in my own court of opinion and tried to find out as much as possible, and I cannot condemn him.-Arsenio lost his show when he put farrakhan and if you have time I suggest watching that show where Arsenio asked him several pointed questions. I understand Farrakhan is hated but I do agree he is totally misunderstood and mis characterized -

trivial matter, mild good natured kidding? are you really this deluded? there is no excusing this kind of talk. pfleger is a good friend of farrakon? these are not trivial matters and not anything that the so-called media needs to inflate. sadly, if obama loses (and I hope that he does, he's far too liberal and he's way too inexperienced), it will be due to so-called racial issues like this.

My point is that it was essentially a joke, by a white man about white privilege, and Hillary Clinton. It has no place in the national discourse at all, as a barb at Obama. Now if the subject is Father Pfleger - the comments are fair game. But it isnt. frankly I found it more painful than funny - We do have a politics of name brands - (its not White entitlement its dynastic entitlement, I now will not vote for children of former rulers, due to Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton.

Finally, when you say that Obama is far too liberal - Aren't there more dimensions to life - than left to right ? What particular positions of Obamas are too liberal for you ? I find that people respond too emotionally to politicians. Particularly frankly with right people, although its all over the map.. maximum respect...

i believe in the free market system, less constraints and gov. interference. obviously, gov. has a role in preventing monopolies, etc but a gov. of entitlements breeds laziness, low production and less ENTREPRENEURSHIP, a word i think you like. obama/clinton are for handouts and constraints ie, more regulation, taxes etc. example: removing the gas tax for the summer will only serve to increase consumption, thereby drive prices up. left alone, usage will drop, prices will follow.

O.K. I have done some more research on farrakhan - and i do find him kind of authoritarian - which is not my cup of tea - his interview with Mike Wallace is pretty creepy...

i almost don't know how to reply to your farrakhan comment. to me, he is synonomous with hate speech and absurdist rhetoric. there is such a thing as constructive, healthy dissent in this country. wright, pfleger and ayers..? Well you can love America and hate what it does at times. I read "The autobiography of Malcolm X" when I was in junior high, and I admired him "No sell out - no compromise - no flim flam" And I thought maybe Louis X was the closest thing we had to Malcolm today - but right now I'm not too sure - I guess I have a strong affinity for certain aspects of the Black struggle in this country - if you watch Farrakhan on you tube he can be a very powerful and orator - if you dont look you wont see....
