Thats not at all "scary" just yer run of the mill short runway landing. They can be VERY much lower when there is no headwind to land into. Then they almost skim the fence...I,ll be there again and will be at the fence on the friday. ( best day for aircraft )

@ibgsstps Hi ib, the landing is scary because you fly low over the island to land and realise its one of the shortest runways in the world, if that doesn't scare you you realise if the pilot doesn't judge it correctly you could end up in the water before you land, or after! I've been there once and my goodness it is a beautiful island ;)

First time I ever flew was at the age of 6. After 15 minutes our plane got striked by lightning. I loved it ^^

That is awsome, on average there is only one case a year of an aircraft hit by lighting, but aircraft have a protection around the aircraft so no electricity enters (this is just for the people who dont know). My first time was when i was 10 and the aircraft banked on a 50d right bank, because it hit an air pot hole. it was awsome but i thought i was going to crash hehe scary too :)

But turbulence for a long time is really unerving, especially when travelling over places like India, where there are massive weather systems with dense clouds and rain, the plane keeps shaking for a good 30-50 minutes.

When you get off the plane, you still get the feeling of being jolted around.

The airport is really tiny! I have done a take off video on my phone and we were pedalling like mad to get the plain in the air!! and feet fully on the floor for the landing, in fact I was pushing the seat in front willing us to land safely!

Great pilots and they have to be a cut above the rest(exams etc)to be able to fly to Skiathos.
