Totally agree, NYG, and when offenses planned for him, he STILL f**ked them up--the man was double and triple teamed and he still got his. The Giants need a Line Backer like him, not skill wise because thats almost impossible but athletically wise. LT(the real LT) had speed, great strength, intimidation over the whole opposing offense, and talked shit and always backed it up. Totally agree, NYG, and when offenses planned for him, he STILL f**ked them up--the man was double and triple teamed and he still got his. As dominant (or more) as the Great One or any other unstoppable athlete you care to name. Just a force of nature who kept coming and coming no matter what you threw at him. Go around you, over you, through you. Indeed, a talent for the ages.

The Giants need a Line Backer like him, not skill wise because thats almost impossible but athletically wise. LT(the real LT) had speed, great strength, intimidation over the whole opposing offense, and talked shit and always backed it up. We need a Line Backer like that, I don't expect someone out the draft to be like that right out the gate but we need a Line Backer that can turn into that. If we get that we will have a great defense once again.

i have been watching football since 1961 l.t was without a doubt the greates defensive football player ever.now that's an easy one my contention is he is the greatest football player ever. to dominate his era from an outside linebacker position. he changed the game. the west coast offense was invented because of him.any time u played the giants you game planned around HIM,not the qb or running back or receiver.

He ran around people...over people...through people. He pushed his blocker into the QB, w/c resulted in sacks that's how strong he was. LT knocked people BACK, like running into a brick wall. And look at how many fumbles he caused, as well as recovered, how many he ran in, and how many picks he got. Not only did he stop the pass, you couldn't run at him, or away. If the offense swept, he would chase the runner down from clear across the field. "Let's go out there like a bunch of crazed dogs!"
