  • i'm from spain and i'm not a real connoisseur of this game (in europe we're fans of football, the one actually played with feet) but this guy is just a living legend, like wayne gretzky or babe ruth. he seems like the maradona of american football... "imagine what kind of player i would have been if i hadn't taken drugs". loved his sauna quotes in "any given sunday"... pure proffesional sportsmen experience wisdom

  • GREAT BIG BLUE DEFENSE...

Lawrence Taylor and the Big Blue Wrecking Crew

    Micheal Strahan

    Justin Tuck

    Osi Uminuera

    Kiwinika

    and JASON PIERRE-PAUL!!!!!

  • LT u r my insperation as a high skool linebakr

  • LT: The greatest LB of all time. You see the way he EXPLODED and leapt to nail people? LT is the man.

  • 2:05 oh my god

  • I bet this was a good video. If you wouldn't have recorded it with an electric razor maybe I could have watched it...

  • awesome video, been watching football for 35 years and still have not seen another LT not even close, never saw Butkis play but no one was as fast or explosive as LT period. The thing i loved to watch LT do was throw the quaterback down with one hand ,whip him to the ground.

  • An awesome set of videos that shows the best outside linebacker ever to take the field. Whats with the music, nothing to do with anything...

  • :18. Um, no he isn't. Butkis is.

  • THE G-MEN BEATIN THE COWGIRLS LAST NIGHT BROUGHT ME HERE.

  • good ol day back when steroids were legal

  • thanks for the vid. although i think people should just avoid "best ever" titles entirely. I wouldn't rank any linebacker above LT, but I wouldn't rank any linebacker above Dick Butkus. I think it's better to say he's in the "highest class" of linebackers ever to play the game. Ranking them is pretty stupid, especially when they played in different eras.

  • @prayandr It don't matter what era they are in but look at what the records they put, and how they changed the game, and how much of a impact player they were. Don't you dare think the game can't changeesp now a days thinking we have done everything possible when you need to think again. "Ex" Devin Hester this year breaking the all-time career return touchdowns for kickoffs, and punt returns on a Special Teams. Who would of thought Special Teams player can go to the HOF. Not us

  • Also could have appropriately picked "Cocaine"...

  • If you just imagine the lyric to be "Taylor" instead of Layla, it clicks in your head ;)

  • pixel city

  • look at those long legs looks like hes not running fast but u know he is man he was a great athelete

  • There are certain players who you can call the best at their position and there should be no discussion. A simple "Agreed...let's move on." is all that is required. There is Jerry Rice at WR, Ray Guy at punter, Reggie White at DE and LT at LB (Inside or outside). Every other position is up for discussion.

  • all i think of when watching taylor is a great white shark patrolling

  • i love the hit at 2.05

  • All clean hits too.....not what you see today ala James Harrison.....

  • this was at a time when the NFL was so "pussified"...true defense was played. Ronnie Lott,Steve Atwater,Kevin Greene,Richard Mann,Mike Singletary,Reggie White,Rod Woodson.....goodness how i truly miss that era.

  • What younger fans dont realize from the clips is that LT scared the crap out of opposing offensive lines. They used to jump offside regularly!

  • The worst decision the giants ever made was not cloning him

  • hes definately a great defensive player. one of the best ever but not the best ever.

  • @wallacemz who was better? This man changed the way offenses played when they played the Giants. There were other greats but IMO, no one changed the game like Taylor did.

  • @strkeout ray lewis. dick butkus. jack lambert.

  • @wallacemz Ray Lewis is great but he couldn't even hold LT's jock strap. The only one out of the three that would even be close to Taylor is Butkus.

  • BIG. BLUE. WRECKING. CREW.

  • Three words regarding Lawrence Taylor and his career in the NFL; New York Giant

    New York Giants (1981–1993)

If you're not an LT fan I have great news. Remember when you clicked on the link that brought you here.. you can leave the same way

  • Ron Jawarski said that Taylor literally gave him nightmares.

  • ''L.T was the best defensive player i've ever seen'' - John Madden

From a fans point of view and being a die hard NYG fan, I simply agree.

  • He used to rape QBs.

  • @iamhungey12345 now he rapes 16 year olds lol.

  • How I wish this guy had played for my team. The single most devastating defender I've seen in my lifetime.

  • he is a inspiration

  • hot damn black dude is a badass

  • Awesome, can you make a compilation of his biggest cocaine hits too?

  • WRONG moma said theres only one linebacker better then LT and he goes by the name of bobby bushay

  • Lawrence Taylor was the most dominant player of all time, LaDanian was not, Lawrence won 2 super bowls LaDanian did not, Lawrence Taylor at his current age is still a better football player the LaDanian ever was

  • hunter has a big mouth and no freakin ears.

  • @mrkidskid spit that dick out of your mouth and stop mumbling!

  • if none of you are aware the drug testing was done long after he retired, i could care less what you say freakin no it alls, i heard the man admit he did drugs, so shut the f#@$ up,till you no something . dumb asses. coke is a drug that intensefies your personality. if your and ass hole your just a bigger one. and if you never did it, you would'nt no shit.

  • @mrkidskid so your a coke head by your own admission and that makes you an expert you fucking moron!!

  • the man was self medicated his hole career, i did coke in my life time and was a crazed idiot, it intentsifies your killer instinkt, he was a desent player at best, anyone says anything different is just lying to thereselves, all done on drugs. self admitted. and should not be in the hall of fame,,

  • @mrkidskid R U Kidding he was the best linebacker EVER he changed the position. The crack didnt make him better trust me on that

  • @mrkidskid DIPSHIT in case you did know they test for drugs in the nfl............He may have made some bad choices after the nfl but it had nothing to do with his career. I would also be willing to bet all you fucks that throw the stone of malice are the last ones who should be talking.

  • How the fuck are we going to get pumped about LT hits listening to fucking Layla. wtf

Damn he knew how to shed a block and get to the ball carrier.

  • How the fuck are we going to get pumped about LT hits listening to fucking Layla. wtf

  • Taylor was a beast and most importantly he was a class act. I just wish he would have played for my broncos.

  • @HunterCO1 LOL yea what a class act. Doing lines of cocaine on the sidelines and fucking 16 year old hookers!!! class act! LOL!

  • @hackist8286 They're pro athletes, you douche. they're not senators or priests. Oh yeah, those guys actually do MUCH worse (child sex slave rings, screwing children in the chapel, cold-blooded murder in the names of the State, etc. ). Grow a pair. Do you REALLY care?! If you do, then you have to make the same comment about athletes in EVERY pro sport, even those on your wanker teams. This is a tribute to a football player's performance ON THE FIELD, not in your anal-retentive morality play.

  • @HunterCO1 dooooooooosh

  • @THEwhiteLINEBACKER If you like to doooosh thats fine no need to advertise you pussy is not clean!!

  • Too bad this video is to such a sh!tbed song selection.

  • the goal line hit at 2:04 is what his power was all about. when he hit you, you didnt advance the ball another inch. the other team cant win if they cant score TDs. honestly I think thats the best hit in this video

  • A man amongst boys....I miss this dude.

  • At 3:47 Oh man !!..........that was almost identical to the play that shattered Theismans' leg. A miracle it did'nt happen there.

  • Imagine if you were a running back who had to block him.. Lol. Either you look like a fool trying to block him, or he just kills the qb... Lol.

  • Comment removed

  • Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

  • Which Pixel was Lawrence?

  • there would be no ray lewis if it wasnt for lawrence taylor. changed the line backer position completely

  • Finally a video of this Legend that is worthy. If there was a Mount Rushmore of the NFL, he would be on it. Great job.

  • hey @ironman347 not anymore rex is getting rid of him... rex said he wanted a throwing team not running so he got rid of LT and few other people and kept mark sanchez which is very stupid cuz he cants throw under pressure... and @shockeyfreak2488 why isnt joe theismann in their? that WAS lawrence taylor's BIGGEST HIT ever

  • I want to see a prime LT in mma

  • Why Layla?

  • It's a shame to say it....but half those hits on a QB today would get flagged....lol

  • Lawrence had true work ethic. I mean.. he literally broke a leg!

  • he had the killer mentality that players dont have anymore..they lose and dont care just go home to there mansions and have dinner with the oppenents that just beat them

  • I'm the biggest Jack Ham fan there is--but there was only one LT.

  • MY GOD he must have hands like vice grips. IT like when he even gets a hand on you, you might get 1 yard more if that but your going down fast just from the grip of this hand. WOW

  • L.T. did things that we can only dream about... and occasionally they happened on the gridiron.

  • He did things that we can only fantasize about...and sometimes it was on the gridiron.

  • @38chinadoll Like rape. Most of us only fantasize about that :V

  • lawrence taylor is the michael jordan of basketball

  • The Giants may not have ET, But they had LT.

  • Danny White

    Gary Hogeboom

    Joey Theismann

    Jaworski

    Neil Lomax

    Pat Obrien

These Qbs careers were not the same after LT was done with them.

  • more athletic than Ray

  • NEVER in the history of the N.F.L has there been a man that size that could run that fast. A Lawrence Taylor happens when the games best athlete is it's fiercest competitor.

  • how the hell do you get half a sack..?

  • @onemanarmy61 someone else hits the qb also and helps sack qb thats how you get half sack

  • @onemanarmy61 when two people make the sack at the same time there both awarded half a sack

  • Not a hard hitter just a very consistant , full of teqnuiqe strong player , hard to find a player like that now in the turning into a to hand touch league NFl

  • @bmprelude WHat are you talking about not a hard hitter lol. IT has been said from players that he hit like he was 300 pounds.

  • LAAAAAAID OUT!!! L.T. with the sack. LAAAAAAID OUT!!! Knock Jaws on his back. LAAAAAAID OUT!!! Theismann gonna break his leg toniiiiiiight!!!!!

  • vid would be great if it was clear !

  • BEAST!!!!!! Cocaine is a helluva drug....lol

  • 2:05 holy shit

  • this isnt whole lotta love by Led Zeppelin, as youtube says it is. It's Layla by Eric Clapton (live)

but anyway, great video, but Walter Payton is the best player in NFL history. not Lawrence Taylor

  • @seekanddestroy56 Led zeppelin comes in @ 3:40

  • Great clips, but how could you not use "You Shook Me All Night Long" for the music?

And to GBstunna, Reggie White the best ever? Please dude, that's just absurd. He wasn't even the best defensive end of his own era, Bruce Smith was.

  • Reggie White is the best ever but yes LT is an all time great. And really when you think of it its NOT fair to say best defensive player ever considering they all play different positions. I will definitly say LT is one of the G.O.A.T at linebacker but their are way to many greats to say hes the best. Clay Matthews is the beast of the future though

  • @GBstunna

  • FORM? LOL at you man for even mentioning it with this guy. Know one gives a fuck what type of form you have if you get the job done..watch the play at min 2:05..tell him his form was off. What an absolute ass kicker this guy was..a man amongst men. Nice video man.

  • I love LT but DICK BUTKUS IS THE GREATEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF ALL TIME

  • @CHICAG0STYLE Butkus was an incredible player... but he wasn't as fierce as LT. Taylor was hands down the greatest defensive player ever!!!

  • anyone else notice that LT's form is really, REALLY bad for alot of these hits?

  • @rabidbunnies2 who the fuck gives a shit about form when you are a total fuckin ass kicker, you think lawrence taylor was thinking about how he looked? what the fuck? is this a fashion show? the only thing on his mind was smashin skulls.

  • @rabidbunnies2 you must be fucking stupid

when he hits a quarterback he doesnt need perfect form and quite often he isnt in a position to use it... so he just kinda gets them down however he can and usually wrecks them anyway... when he hits a running back thats when he uses perfect form... and he fucking crushes them

  • @TheJewboi911 i dont know where you learned about form or tackling but if youre ripping someone's jersey, that's a pretty clear indication that youre not crushing them. he just jumps on people's backs and weighs them down to the ground.

  • @rabidbunnies2 again... thats what i said... that is how he tackles a quarterback... when he is not in a position to actually make a solid hit on a person as in he is being blocked by somebody while simultaniously tackling a quarter back then yes he grabs their jersey when he tackles a running back he uses amazing form and crushes them

maybe try not to make a stupid comment

  • @rabidbunnies2 You're just an idiot!

  • @rabidbunnies2 you must be a faggot

  • Best defensive player I've ever seen, being old enough to have seen the players since 1960. You might notice that none of L T's hits would qualify for a fine or suspension by the league's new mandated rules.

He always went for the ball and the tackle, never took head shots. So, if the best D player, ever, can play clean, I think the league today can do it,too.

(Theisman hit was also clean, but gruesome)

  • I hear Lawrence Taylor is a running back for the Jets, now? Weird.

There's only one LT, you know. And it's not LaDainian.

  • danny woodhead

  • @Ironman374 lmao my dad says the exact same shit....

  • @Ironman374

    TY tomlinson is NO LT

  • @chaos4856 Yep. And I'm not even a Giants fan.

  • @Ironman374 im pretty sure hes retired dumb shit

  • @almostskater517 You're obviously a fucking idiot, Mr. Skater. Go watch Tony Hawk or something.

  • @Ironman374 you must be retarted lol LT is about 50 now and he is retired for 15plus yrs

  • @kevinfrankie96 Facepalm?

  • @kevinfrankie96 Don't call a person retarded when you can't even spell it properly.

  • @Ironman374 THERE WE GO BABY NOT L.T ON THE JETS L.T IS THE ONLY ONE

  • @ClutchxStatic Exactly! And I'm not even a Giants fan!

  • @Ironman374 voted down bullshit ladanian was more valuable then lawrence tayler

  • @mykittydoespwn You're either, a biased Chargers fan, or an uneducated dimwit. The only nickname LaDainian deserves is :"classy my assy".

  • @Ironman374 im a patriots fan i i believe that

  • @mykittydoespwn Being a Pats fan explains everything.

  • @Ironman374 whatever you say u can like rapists if you want...

i dont know thats not me but im not one to judge

  • @mykittydoespwn I never said I liked Kobe Bryant.

  • @Ironman374 rofl lawrence was great but you cant just say ladanian sucked...

  • @mykittydoespwn I never did. He's just not LT. The guy that made quarterbacks shit their pants on every down.

  • @Ironman374 faggot

  • @Jslimquick I don't swing your way. I'm sorry to disappoint.

  • @Ironman374 Greatest defensive player= Dick Butkus

  • I wish i could agree with you a trillon times

  • @Ironman374

Taylor will always be the original LT, but I think Ladainian has been awesome enough to earn the nickname.

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! LAYLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lawernce tayler best ever

  • I remember most of these games. He never gave less than 100%

  • crazy how he just bowls over would-be blockers like they were just little boys...god damn!

4:34 ONE HAND THROWDOWN TACKLE! fuck yeah

  • there has not been a more feared defensive back in the nfl during his career or since his retirement.

    @EdRacer71

no! you are the only one who gets pissed off at that. there has only been and will ever be one "LT"!!!

ladainian tomlinson doesn't deserve that moniker.

  • Tuff !

  • im a huge giants fan but unfortunately he played before my tiem damn i wish that i could have seen him play

  • Anyone else think 2:06 was purely epic? Thumbs up for Air-Guillotine.

  • at 2:23 tht ref waz wavin his hands and sayin "my god mr taylor u didnt let tht pussy motha fuka go anywhere" taylor waz like "who gives a damn theres a fumble"

  • i bet #26's coaches were happy when they watched game film. (6th highlight)

  • Lol I always hated grabbing shirts so I had to tape up my fingertips and put on gloves so I didn't tear my fingernails off =P

  • This hurts just watching it....

  • to solve the problems when ur writing it there's lt and there's L.T. we know whos who.

  • Taylor was'nt a hitter by definition. He really was'nt. There's no questioning his tackling ability.

Butkus, Ronnie Lott , Jack Tatum ,Chuck Cecil etc.. Now those where hitters. Taylor never was one to explode onto ball carriers.

  • This guy singled handedly changed the way offenses played the game!! NOBODY had done that before he showed up on the scene.

  • and to think he was on crack almost the entire time,.... whatta beast

  • You can't touch me, no you can't touch me

    Taylor, Lawrence, not guilty

Try to charge me but I'm not guilty

  • like a bunch of crazed dogs.........classic

  • Totally agree, NYG, and when offenses planned for him, he STILL f**ked them up--the man was double and triple teamed and he still got his. As dominant (or more) as the Great One or any other unstoppable athlete you care to name. Just a force of nature who kept coming and coming no matter what you threw at him. Go around you, over you, through you. Indeed, a talent for the ages.

  • Im a Niners fan but props to "the real" LT. He revolutionized the game.

  • one LT.... And Giants land know who that be.... Lawrence Taylor!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Giants need a Line Backer like him, not skill wise because thats almost impossible but athletically wise. LT(the real LT) had speed, great strength, intimidation over the whole opposing offense, and talked shit and always backed it up. We need a Line Backer like that, I don't expect someone out the draft to be like that right out the gate but we need a Line Backer that can turn into that. If we get that we will have a great defense once again.

    Go Giants!

  • once LT gets one of those meat-hooks he calls hands on you, theres no getting away.

    Giants 4 life!

  • lack of sound was killing me

  • Giants all day and every day

  • Got one on Favre...nice!

  • i <33 LT and the Giants but ST from the skins was amazing, go ahead thumbs down i dont give a shit

  • wow, they ONE both super bowls??? that's interesting.

  • WE LOVE YOU L.T.!!!

  • i have been watching football since 1961 l.t was without a doubt the greates defensive football player ever.now that's an easy one my contention is he is the greatest football player ever. to dominate his era from an outside linebacker position. he changed the game. the west coast offense was invented because of him.any time u played the giants you game planned around HIM,not the qb or running back or receiver.

  • D.T was the next L.T if he did t die

  • Looks like Tomlinson didn't do jack shit in the playoffs this year either HAHA!!!! Lawrence Taylor = THE REAL LT!! 2 time Super Bowl Champion to boot! As always, we got Tomlinson on the bench sulking doing nothing.

  • :46 OWNED!!!

  • who gives a shit what he did off the field? his job was to destroy offenses. which is exactly what he did, and no one has ever done it better

  • @123vindawg Thats as good as sum1 is gonan explain it...he absolutely destroyed offenses...ppl had 2 gameplan around him, u cudnt approach the Giants defense in the same way u approach regular defenses, he had 2 b accounted 4...its a fuckin disgrace that tomlinson gets referred 2 as the same name...the Real LT wud have ripped his fuckin head off his body

  • He ran around people...over people...through people. He pushed his blocker into the QB, w/c resulted in sacks that's how strong he was. LT knocked people BACK, like running into a brick wall. And look at how many fumbles he caused, as well as recovered, how many he ran in, and how many picks he got. Not only did he stop the pass, you couldn't run at him, or away. If the offense swept, he would chase the runner down from clear across the field. "Let's go out there like a bunch of crazed dogs!"

  • that 4:34 clip still cracks me up every time!!! No disrespect but...... Strahan AINT GOT NOTHIN On LT!!!

  • The real LT never pussied out and sat out playoff games like the little bitch Tomlinson does

  • Are you serious? Tomlinson is a flash in the pan and shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as LT. And how many SuperBowls have the Chargers won? How about championships for the city of San Diego?

  • Great vid, thanks for the memories, who was it against when LT got the 97 yard interception TD?

  • Detroit on ThanksGiving

  • i like dick butkus and LT
