I could name a dozen teams right now who have two or three pro bowl players. Does that mean they all should win the super bowl? Hell no, and most of them wont. Dallas's offensive line and #2 ranked defense won those super bowls for Emmitt, Troy and Irvin. Yes those three were awesome players, but the offensive line is the most important thing.

Emmitt is the best....most yards in a career...but more importantly...MOST RUSHING YARDS AND TOUCHDOWNS IN PLAYOFFS....1686 and 22...add THAT to the fact that every year dallas won a superbowl Emmitt led the league in rushing yards and touchdowns (except 93 he was 3rd in td's) and the fact that in 94 he also led in yards and tds but dallas lost the nfc champ by 6 because Emmitt was hurt...NO ONE compares to him...he scored 25% of the cowboys POINTS..not touchdowns, in his ENTIRE career!

If he didn't have the greatest offensive line in history to run behind, I'd be shocked if he could even hit 1,000 yards in a season.

Obviously Emmit is a legend, but he's not touching Barry. If Barry played a full career he could have rushed for over 20k. I am a Yankee fan but I hate A-Rod. Unitl he performs in the playoffs, I see no reason to keep him around. Barry could have won numerous Super Bowls if he had some teamates. Barry never had an Aikman or an O-line or a defense.

not to take anything away from emmitt he is "the guy" but dallas was "the team." the two together were damn near invincible. its a different game today than it was just a decade ago and i don't see anyone really doing what emmitt or dallas did then. today a player breaks a fingernail he's out 5 games. emmitt was a rhino on the field. bad when he's healthy and just as ruthless when he's not.

Thank You for saying that! the only player than can come close to Emmitt's stats is L.T if he stay's HEALTHY he would need average of about 1,500 yards from 2007-2011 to break Emmitts Record. Look at Clinton Portis he was a power house until he got injured, he not the same. But it all starts with a Healthy O-LINE.

Idiot. It took Emmitt 15 season to get over 18000 yards. His numbers were a function of the help around him. It's not surprising that when his O-line began to decline, his ypc DROPPED A FULL YARD, from a 4.7 in '95, to a 3.7 in '96. OUCH.

I could name a dozen teams right now who have two or three pro bowl players. Does that mean they all should win the super bowl? Hell no, and most of them wont. Dallas's offensive line and #2 ranked defense won those super bowls for Emmitt, Troy and Irvin. Yes those three were awesome players, but the offensive line is the most important thing.

Emmitt had 3-5 pro bowlers blocking for him at once for like 6 years! He had a total of 7 different pro bowl linemen and a pro bowl FB and TE in less than a decade. Barry ran behind one pro bowl lineman at any given time at best and no pro bowl FB or QB ever. Gimme a break, u cant even compare the two teams.
