True. although what comes to my mind while viewing this video is a sentence from the documentary 'Elsa: The lioness that changed the world' saying that a 100% to be trusted wild animal does not exist.
@yairisan1 Nope a serious love and unique bond with these animals.. its his sense of calmness and feel of "I'm apart of them" is what lets him interract with them .. in such unique friendly, lovely, honest relationship.
@yairisan1 Are you trying to say he has a death wish? That would be ignorance speaking. He can interact with his animals at the level he does because he has known them since they were very little and spent a lot of time with each of them as they grew. He doesn't ever try to dominate them, in other words unconditional love and respect will show it returned to you. And if you don't believe that is possible then you need to get over your species' superiority complex.
@yairisan1 What an intelligent, collected, and well articulated arguement. Thanks for your input. But seriously, when you are discussing something replying with insults.. all you are doing is proving you have no arguement or you are just a dick. Also for clarification, I said "species'" not personal, meaning you are putting humans on a pedestal.
@Leidachinaman You should speak a bit more from the hip; not withdraw what you've already posted and then come back with a more 'tailored' retort. You appear to have spent the last 40 minutes hitting people with your superior opinions. You get off on that? Your 'clarification' is but a poor cover for your hypocrisy, and your supercillious, comment has only one interpretation. Don't worm out of it, dickhead. Go put your head in a lions mouth and then come back and talk to me. Until then, fuck off
@yairisan1 See that view is foolish. If I walk up to a random lion and try to interact with him like Kevin is doing with his I would undoubtably find myself attacked. Why? Because I would have no relationship with his animal and by trying to interact like that with an unknown animal I would be perceived as asserting dominance which is a threat and would not be taken lightly. My clarification was simply me trying to explain why you misunderstood the last sentence of my first comment.
@Saicofake He doesn't keep many of them, perhaps that series' contract specifically wanted to keep to lions for the title's sake so there was no reason to show all the animals at the park.
@PacoArmenexican The melanistic gene of the Leopard is rezessive. What means you can't breed them. Spotted parents can have black cubs as well as black parents can have spotted cubs. It's simply luck, and in the wild it depends on their habitat. In the jungle, leopards are in general darker than in the savanna. In the malayan rainforest, almost 50% of the leopards are black It's different with the jaguar, his melanistic gene is dominant and black parents will most propably have black cubs.
If the melanistic gene is recessive, then surely you could still breed them if you mated a male and female that both showed a positive melanosis phenotype there would be a 100% chance of having cubs with melanism?
@OrthodoxDarwinist Nope, as far as i know you can't breed them. The zoo in my town has black leopards, a male and a female and last year they had cubs without any blacks, while both parents are black.
No , contrary to popular belief it does not work that simple. It is actually same with people.
F.e. you can have two people that are both non caucasian and both have dark eyes and their child can have green , hazel or even blue eyes. Rare but possible , because recessive gene can show in offspring even after like 5 generations later.
In leopards more or less 20-25% are born with black fur , and parent's fur color does not matter actually.

You were talking about cubs in the beginning. Did Kevin get a melanistic male to mate with a melanistic female? Were the cubs melanistic as well?

Maybe homozygous recessive makes them infertile.
