The instrumentals in this song have always reminded me of the earlier lyrics of Nas. It makes me think of the ghettos and slums we have in the US. Poor mainly black populated areas that just degress... They're completely ignored by government wether by choice or circumstance. Either way I just saw the people and they are oblivious.. They don't even have the option to progress. Its like theyre dead inside, they live for nothing and their mind.. so weak. The piano reflects the depression it brings
