like einstein who should have feigned stupidity;chalmers was a cia consultant as a young man, but later has an epiphany......most of the professors in academia are tools of this govt.......maybe norman finklestein is an exception
One of the last voices of sanity in America. His work should be required reading for ALL American students (even those studying biology or modern dance). A true intellectual visionary.
But the soldiers like it, people want it, you're against freedom. I believe everyone can make choices, you just want to ban war, so nobody should listen to you. I know a soldier that loves his killing fields. There is NO reason to talk about this unless you are against freedom. I think that in your closet you have toy soldiers that you play with, you really WANT to hurt someone there is something psychologically wrong with you. I used to be one of you rads and I secretly wanted to go to war.
@booboonation Chalmer's cared little about the partisan aspects of American militarism. He avoided the poltical slant in his triology....something that Zinn and Chomsky cannot do no matter how hard they try. Both are both partisan hacks. It is men like Johnson that showed me the antiwar movement had merit beyond left wing rhetoric. For that, he distinguishes himself above and beyond those men.
RIP. I only discovered Chalmers 3 weeks ago and just finished reading my first book of his, Nemesis. Finished it ironically the day he would have died.
The type of person that our educational system doesn't crank out anymore.

Johnson served as a consultant to Allen Dulles, 67 - 73? Dulles retired from the CIA in 1961.

Tough year, losing Howard Zinn, Tony Judt and now Chalmers Johnson. Their works remain, as well as their spirit. But we will need their energy.

Zinn made it to 86, I hope Chomsky does.

@booboonation Chomsk is in fairly good health, right?
I think we need to have the Library of Congress store the genetic material of notable people. Then we can clone them if we need to. XD
