  • John was cool then but writers were stupid enough to completely shift his personnality. So many bad decisions were taken by the writers, ruining the show.

  • can't believe they made a blooper with the direction of the wheelchair...you can see it at 2:38 and 2:46

  • don`t tell me what I can`t do!

  • God. The music is brilliant behind all of the miracles in LOST. I miss it. =(

  • Locke's flashbacks are so touching. I cried while watching this.

  • God dammit i miss lost, now your making wanna re-watch the series...again

  • How the fuck he thought to go to that trip in wheelchair? Totally retarded....

  • @conspiritor2 You'd have to watch the entire episode.

  • @potat3o I've seen a whole show man... And that scene although is emotional it's totally retarded...Only a mad man would want something like that and Lock doesn't seem like one....

  • @conspiritor2 Locke is delusional. He pretends to be in the military, he tries to have a serious relationship with a call girl, and invites her to the walkabout (she tells him to see a therapist). He tries to live a life that he simply cannot. He even brings up Norman Croucher, a double amputee who climbed Mt. Everest when his boss teases him about the trip. So yeah, he is kind of mad at this point of his life.

  • @potat3o Haven't thought about Lock like that... He always seemed like the most capable guy on the island... Who's your favorite character?

  • The greatest mystery of Lost is why do all the so called Australians on the show speak like South Africans? :)

  • The episode that got me hooked right to the end. So Glad I did, So many great scenes.

  • EPIC!!!!

  • John Locke is awesome. Though I have to admit that Season 4-onward he became a bit stupid and dictatorlike. And of course he never learned to just GAG Ben for cryin' out loud.

  • best scene of all lost <3

  • almost forgot, Lost used to be good.

  • @Kuupoju hmm i seen to forget when LOST was actually good in the first place

  • memorable

  • Lost Season 1. The only good Season

  • this is cinama that its best

  • damn onions

  • I cried like a little bitch rewatching this scene. I don't fucking care.

  • John locke > jack

  • Lost is on Netflix...and this is the only episode that isn't working...</3

  • incredible moment in LOST and TV history. Too bad so many people missed out on this one of a kind life changing series.

  • @mikieson Its my 3rd time watching it on netflix =[)

  • I knew he was paralyzed at the first of the episode when he moved his toes. I love how they gave clues to everything throughout the show

  • at 2:39 the chair faces right, then a few seconds later it faces left???

  • A midst all the terror and confusion, a miracle is born

  • I like how John, after standing up for the first time in years, has the look on his face as if he's just lost his virginity, and everyone else is screaming in horror at the impending situation.

  • I miss lost so much too especially the first four seasons when it was really brilliantly and cleverly written

  • "he was a believer, he was a man of faith....he was a much better man than I will ever be..."

  • I miss this show so fucking much.

  • PURE GENIUS.

  • plot twist

  • This scene won many Lost fans, including me...

  • what's the song?

  • @robertsom "Locked Out Again" by Michael Giacchino.

  • I remember this being the moment when I realized that this television show was not like other television shows. This was something very different. This was something special.

  • He is a real fighter.

I think I made fun of those people who has a dissability like Locke.

    Obviously I was stupid guy.

If I were Locke, I think i could not fight to live better life, and keep feeling shame on myself

and even may think kill myself.

    But he didnt.

    He is my hero.

  • Best scene in the entire show in my opinion.

  • 1:30 People are screaming, suffering, bleeding to death, burning, etc. while John is having the happiest moment of his life.

  • don't tell me what i can't do

  • This is the scene that got me hooked on the show for good :)

  • WAAAAAALT! WAAAAAAALT!

  • DONT TELL ME WHAT I CANT DO! DONT TELL ME WHAT I CANT DO EVER!

  • So Epic

  • I bawled like a baby when I saw this the first time

  • How could you possibly dislike John Locke's moment???

  • This is the best scene in the history of television.

  • what is the name of the song playing??

  • @DIESELPOWER127 Lock'd Out Again is the name of the song. It is absolute brilliance.

  • This was the exact scene that convinced me I was watching the greatest show in television history. It represents everything that made Lost special. All these years later this scene still leaves me in awe and wishing a show this amazing would come along again.

  • @chad3232132 Completely feel the same. It started off well but this scene let you know that you were going to be watching something truly special. This scene never loses it's appeal. I remember the first time watching this scene, my jaw dropped at the revelation of Locke and stayed dropped for about five minutes. Fantastic music, storytelling, and acting, typical LOST.

  • 2 years since the finale and I still get chills from watching this...Locke is the man

  • man I miss hearing that flashback WOOSH sound :( ... I just miss LOST.

  • I totally remember seeing this episode for the first time. At the beginning I was like "Why are we back at the plane crash?" and then this part happened, and when it showed his foot again I was seriously like =OOOOOOOOOO R.I.P. LOST =')

  • This just makes me wish I could forget the last few episodes even more.

  • Very powerful scene and a great series. Shame about the religious nonsense at the end but I guess it had to satisfy the main strream audience in the land of the free. Also made me wish there was an afterlife and that everything always turns out for the best and everyone lives, even in death. I guess we all are searching for a better life and to escape the realities of human existance. LOST certainly provided me with some quality escapism.

  • @garysgreat the end is not religious at all.

  • @Rude666 If it wasn't religious, wtf was it? A happy ending offering us all redemption and happiness in an afterlife. Or was I watching some other programme? I'm not knocking LOST, I just wish they had come up with an ending that didn't rely on invoking the monotheist god. BSG did the same thing. Surely it would be easier and more inventive to create a new fairy tale than to use an old and predictable fairy tale?

  • @garysgreat It was spiritual, not religious.

The journey of lost is described in the episode of which this video is about.

A walkabout is journey of spiritual renewal where one derives strength from the earth and becomes insepperable from it.

The ending had nothing to do with religion. In fact the ending basically said that religion doesnt matter. We are all equal and there is no god.

  • The best thing about this scene is how it makes a plane crash with people screaming in the background feel like the most triumphant scene in television history.

  • this moment got me into lost i just tought everithing was soo good the music his story' makes you want to watch the show, even more:) I CAN DO THIS DAMMIT :)

  • Powerful !

  • One of the greatest scenes of one of the greatest shows of all time. Love the music!! And to the "Others" who dislike the video, you don't know what you're missing and I pity you for that. <3

  • Amazing. I really miss LOST a lot.

  • John Locke died so the island would live.

  • Out of all television history this is the single greatest moment of them all.

  • This was "the" episode that got me hooked on Lost...this one scene alone was a testament to me of the things to come. A powerful series; a series of great actors and narrative.

  • this scene gave us great hope. LOST is eternal in my mind

  • Greatest scene in the history of television!!!!

  • This was the first episode I ever saw of Lost, after seeing this scene I was hooked.Terry O'Quinn did an awesome job with this sequence.

  • Terry O'Quinn FTW

  • best ending of any Lost episode...this was the episode that if you kept watching you were in till the end and if it didn't make you want to keep watching you were a fool

  • I remember this episode so well, the first three episodes already had me hooked, but this scene simply raised the bar

  • This was literally the first scene, including movies, that ever made me tear up. This was when I knew that Lost was something special.

  • Wow, what a moving scene :')

  • 8 people need to just get Lost!

  • Arguably one of the most powerful scenes in all of television.

  • @NeoOsiris19 Made even more powerful when you consider the effects of this scene on the rest of the series. Honestly, I can't say I've ever seen or will ever see a more well developed show than this. Nostalgic is an understatement.

  • This scene established LOST. An enigmatic moment in TV history.

  • this teared me up...

  • Favorite episode of the whole show. The ending is amazing!

  • I remember when I first started getting into LOST last summer, I borrowed all the DVDs from a friend to watch and as soon as it got to that part where Locke is revealed to have been in a wheelchair, that was the moment I went, "Okay. This is going to be a hell of a show."

  • Fuck I wish i'd lose my memory so I can rewatch lost

  • @MisterPikol Just re-watch it anyway. Lost has probably the best rewatch value out of any tv show.

  • @Elephant1936 agreed.

  • @MisterPikol really, i wish this, too!

  • You don't tell John Locke what he can't do.

  • Greatest moment in television history. At 2:16, a miracle and happiness amid chaos and destruction. Simply brilliant.

  • amazing

  • name of song?

  • sem dúvida, um dos melhores momentos de toda a série, impossível não chorar.

  • DONT FUCKIN TELL HIM WAT HE CANT DO

  • I almost cry every time I watch this.

  • "I'm supposed to do this dammit, don't tell me what I can't do"

    Its the best quote ever.

  • I feel so frustated for him

  • This was the moment that really hooked me up. When I saw he was in a wheelchair before the crash and then he can walk, I realized that this was no ordinary show and it was clear that Locke was going to kick ass.

  • rolex product placement

  • And thus begins the thrilling, memoriable, and Tragic story of John Locke.
