Benny is partly right about the melancolic effection of the north lattitude. It is however the place where their hits were born, the source of their creativity! There's no need to underestimate it and call it "vodka belt". Drunkers are anywhere in the world, but the sound of Abba was born especially in that specific "melancoly belt".

Bearing in mind that ABBA are officially the 4th biggest selling musical act of all time.....Its an honour for The Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame, that they accepted.

should have happened years ago, how refreshing was it to hear that they`d turned down a billion dollar offer to reform in order to protect their artistic integrity, things like that dont happen often in these `greed is good` times when anything that isnt nailed down ends up as an asset on someones balance sheet. benny and bjorn understood the importance of melody and harmony and thats why abba`s songs get even better every year that passes by.

Frida had two children. Her daughter Ann Casper was tragically killed in a car accident in the US in 1998 but her son Jonathan (Frida's grandson) is a guitar player for the prog metal band The Dream Anatomy out of Rochester NY. It was formerly called Beyond this Day. They have a Facebook page and a YouTube site but there doesn't seem to be much activity so I'm not sure how they're doing today.

I am 43 and have listened to ABBA all my life and Bee Gees too! Both have so many similarities; I think if they had left Sweden and came to the US for a while, like the Bee Gees did, perhaps they might have made more music. Benny and Bjorn were amazing song writers; Agnetha and Frida awesome singers.

I know that some of my friends had a hard time with this but I can understand why....These 4 people sang/wrote songs that are still played through vinyl, CDs, MP3 and 4 and beyond. True talent and great songs never fade and that what is the basic premise of the RRHOF is all about....true, real and enduring talent that lives on through the music they made.

Good for ABBA, they are much deserving. As for another band, The Moody Blues should be in there too. Benny, I got the winter time blues as well. Watching them both speak with so much class and heartfelt gratitude enforces why we have been fans for so long and can definitely be heard in their music. Frida says it's too late for a reunion of ABBA. I was born 1984, so there was no chance for me to ever see them live. Sometimes I wake up and remember having dreamed about ABBA performing "the winner takes it all" (my favorite song) with a big orchestra and I think I kinda know how this would sound like and ... I think I'd do anything, pay any price to only see them do this song with an orchestra. But on the other hand, a reunion would kill the spirit of ABBA. I decide, keep the spirit! ... :-(

Benny talked about Sweden, I think was necessary to talk about that, a magic night, nothing more to say.

There still seems to be some love and affection between these two. I love it that they can remain this close after being divorced for so long. It made me proud to be a fan of this great group. I wish that the others could have been there as well. I am sure that they are just as proud to be included in the rock and roll hall of fame. Long live ABBA

Benny would certainly hold Frida's hand, if he didn't love her anymore. But he doesn't do that, he doesn't even have the courage to wrap his arms around Frida's shoulders or waist. You can surely see that on videos like those ones from Rock'N'Roll Hall Of Fame or the one with Benny, Frida and Björn at Mamma Mia! 5th anniversary in 2004.

But please, pay a real attention to those videos, before arguing something. Then you'll see what I'm talking here isn't nonsense at all.

Thanks for uploading this! They so deserve the honor. Been an ABBA fan since 1974 when I was 4 years old and saw them in the Swedish "melodifestival" singing Waterloo.
