@rogershuman1 take the original game file the game that comes with it and delete everything on it so its blank and use that, its the only way. or try running it with compatability modes

ok this is a little confusing so bear with me when you make the even have the first option be "Change system bgm"(1st tab lower right) then choose "battle" on the left and the song on the right. for the next event make it start the battle,after the start battle use the "change system Bgm" to the original song. and there you go a specific song for a battle!

@SakuraandSesshomaru You can make the maps larger or smaller by right clicking on the name of them in the bottom left area of the screen, then choosing Map Properties. From there you can add or subtract space under Dimensions.

only there are no options for any of the monsters...

it all just says "swamp 1" or "collisim 3"

which are all preassigned monster groups

Yeah, well I tried to set my title screen but it still shows up as a blue screen with the options on it. I made sure it was 256 colors, 320x240 and everything. No matter what I did, it wouldn't show. On top of that, I have the same problem with my game over screen. The version I'm using is 1.08. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I don't mind doing it the long way (recoulering all the individual sprites for the walking etc.) but is there any way to speed up the process? or is it always neccesary to do everything the long way? please reply

if its your character you want moving then right click on the map and click start party etc..

if its an npc then double click on the npc which brings open its window then at the bottom left where it has the characters picture/sprite, below that says then at the top left make sure its the movement type click at the bottom of that and click random and set the speed if you want it to walk a certain direction click on enter command on the left side i think its page 2 or 3

jilpolo, i think i may know how to fix this problem, i have rpg maker vx and im quite good at it, i just got 2003 but in vx u can transfer your player or npc to a location, im sure u could do it in 2003...and im also sure you know where the transfer/teleport button is =) hope i helped
