Orchestra teacher made us memorize in 8th grade...WTF?...8th grade? What were we? We were not THIS GOOD! Come on! Glad she didn't teach reading...What would we been made to read?..and VirOrgBlder-I PLAYED THIS PIECE AT AGE 13! Done did it AT THIS SPEED, I hear her yelling, "FASTER FASTER!" I wish someone had recorded us in 85!
Bonjour, voilà pièce bien interprétée, magnifique, mais la même pièce, interprétée, et plus lentement magnifique aussi, tout dépend des gouts. Félicitations, Jacques.
This is a beautiful piece. Im no officianado in terms of music as im just a begginer, but I know what I like and I LOVE this. Its a shame some people choose to limit thereselves to a certain music type and never step outside and try something else.
This is a great Bach's arragement of a great Vivaldi's work. I love it! Especially the last movement. This version is (in my opinion) to quick, but still awesome :-).
I know. This is the version that introduced me to the Vivaldi piece. I got the sheet music off of the Werner Icking Music Archive. It's too bad that Johnny didn't do an arrangement of Il Quattro Stagioni as well
Well, most of the Quattro Stagioni are VERY violinistic in writing, and some of the strings' effects will be lost or sound silly. But, who knows, Bach might have turned them into some beautiful keyboard writing/idiom...
yes but this is like bach's cover of this song transcribed for organ...it was a popular this in those days...it was seen as a compliment rather than plagiarism
People, Vivaldi wrote this for orchestra, than Bach transcribed it for organ...

I love when one great artist (in any medium) produces a variation on another.
At bottom, it is always interesting and instructive, and the aesthetic dividends are often enormous.

This is the fastest I have ever heard Rubsam play. It's great!

I have never heard this piece played at this speed, it sounds wonderful. I guess you probably have to work really hard to fuck up Bach.
